  1. That's a biggie Thank you ED.
  2. I have enough trouble remembering to retract full flaps during dogfights. The maintenance crew hate me.
  3. Oh well, I'll play through Reforger again in preparation and perhaps bite the bullet and buy the Syria map. Recently spent a lot of money on a Virpil Throttle (humble brag alert).
  4. I believe it'll be the continuation of the Operation Reforger - The Iron Heel Campaign, which takes place on the Caucuses map. Part one came out in 2020.
  5. No in-game footage exists of the fire extinguisher system putting out a fire. I've never seen it work, having tried many times. In my opinion it isn't implemented/working. I'd love to be proven wrong.
  6. Engine fire suppression doesn't currently work in-game, am I right?
  7. Some of the knowledge on show in this thread is dazzling. Proud to be a part of this community. Some of those videos you guys shared were awesome.
  8. Yes, it's a bug.
  9. Okay, thank you Mike. To clarify, before the last couple of patches auto-level was very definitive when you threw the Heading Hold switch (with AP engaged obviously). Now it does absolutely nothing, below 5 degree bank angle or otherwise, at least on my end. Ground Track auto-levels the plane just fine, Heading Hold does not. My current version is: 2.7.17.29140. I've never had any custom mods installed and have not monkeyed with anything. I have no wish to monopolize your time on this, but something's up. I'll quite happily reinstall my beloved F-14 module if it's a problem unique to myself. EDIT: Turns out it was our old friend the deadzones. I'd forgotten we currently need at least a 1% deadzone in the roll axis, otherwise Heading Hold was not able to grab. Thanks once again to this great Community for their help.
  10. Okay, do you have Heading Hold tracked as a current issue?
  11. Thanks for letting us know Mike. Would it be possible to see a complete list of what problems you currently have tracked for the F-14 and what you're working on? Perhaps we could pin it to the top of the F-14 Bugs & Problems Forum? There seems to be a bit of confusion about what your team are and are not aware of. It's gotten to the point where the key information is scattered amongst so many threads it's no longer efficient. It's like a hard drive that needs defragmenting. I believe sharing this 'snagging list' with the community will help focus us all on what's left to test and provide feedback on.
  12. Attempted carrier landing in the F-14. At 800 feet, 300 knots, called kiss-off just before the break and my wingman immediately collided with me. It's a thing of beauty: Trap Practice.trk
  13. Is this the reason why light blooms seem so difficult to implement on the F-14? Just as one example, the formation lights (green slimers) on the F-18 look glorious as they shimmer at night. Why aren't ED helping HB get the F-14 to where it should be? After all, the F-14 is one of the finest modules and will have helped bring a lot of attention to DCS.
  14. I was at an airshow on July 24th 1986, at RAF Brawdy, Pembrokeshire. I was just a kid watching from the side of the runway when a Phantom came by for a second low pass at what must've been just above stall speed. I distinctly remember something falling off the plane and onto the runway as it went by. After that it seemed to have trouble gaining power as it dipped over the horizon and out of sight of the crowd. Tragically the two crew ejected beyond the safe envelope as the Phantom crashed into St Bride's Bay. Anyway, I would love to see a British variant. I built a model as a kid. I love HB's F-14 so much their Phantom module is a guaranteed purchase for me.
  15. VIRPIL EU - VPC MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle (virpil-controls.eu) I want one ...and just bought one. Watched the Grim Reapers' review and it put the hook in me. It's more beautifully engineered than the real thing. Blasphemy, I know.
  16. These references were pulled from at least three different sources and were spread over a two year period. This is for a single bug that has been tracked by HB since 2020. I appreciate they're probably too busy to maintain an updated list, but giving the community a peek at what HB have and don't have tracked could save an awful lot of redundant posts and may be a more efficient way of moving forward. If no one else thinks so then fair enough, we'll just carry on as we were.
  17. If a veteran user like yourself can be wrong and spread misinformation then you're just proving my case for me. Thank you.
  18. Even Google can't find something that doesn't exist.
  19. You've just pointed out above, in response to Draconus's post, that the Ejection seat arm/disarm switch sound file is working as intended. Could you please post a link to where HB have [explicitly] stated this?
  20. That's my very point. Two years ago the list of remaining issues to be resolved and systems to be implemented would have been too unwieldy for it to be practicable to share in this way. Only now is the F-14 is considered to be coming to the end of early access. Perhaps now the tracker is of a manageable enough size that a snagging list could be shared with the community of Open Beta players/testers. It may be a more effective method than the current one of people talking over each other across multiple threads. Case in point: you made reference in your post above that a veteran forum member like @draconus may have missed correspondence/feedback from HB regarding a long-term bug/issue. Personally I think you're mistaken. My point is that this multiple threads system has had its day and it may be time to look at alternatives.
  21. Why is this guy's altimeter in standby?
  22. What about HB pinning a regularly updated copy of the Tracker to the top of the F-14's forum? Colour-coded for priority perhaps? Am I talking crazy? As mentioned in the recent HB interview, the F-14 is considered to be on the home stretch of Early Access. In theory the tracker/snagging list should be more manageably sized at this point. Glancing at the tracker has got to be quicker than waiting for task saturated developers to respond, only to find out they did respond in a different thread you knew nothing about.
