Think of it like the TV weater forecast, if the wind is blowing north to south the arrows on the forecast map point south, so in the editor if you wanted to have the wind blow north to south you need to point the arrow direction indicator to face south like on the weather forcast

iirc this was an option way back in 1.1 or 1.2.xxx Right Alt (AltGR) & J was assigned as get in / get out, so it worked same as in F2 view now, but when on the tarmac with canopy open the pilot got out and could be walked around with ',./ or arrow keys can't remember which and iircf you could walk up to another plane / vehicle and get in, so you could have 3 or 4 AI uncontrolled aircraft on the ground you could walk up to get in to and take each one for a spin

There are plenty of situations we can use these, especially with "Baby" arriving "Anytime" soon™ we can hunt them down or escort them to target area

maybe add the burnt area then a 10% static on top and then add smoke with Lilkiki's mod https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2306357&postcount=14 (if it still works) only thing is as smoke is a mod all users need it running to see it

Gazelle Weapons Expansion Mod
Dingo_Bob replied to Hook47's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
for the smoke pod maybe use the smoke rockets from the P-51, and change the location so they attach to / merge into the the skids and the smoke comes off of the rear of skid tip -
Shame RALT + J doesn't work anymore to climb out of the pit, walk the pilot around, walk up to another plane or vehicle, RALT + J again to get into that one

1. no idea 2. yes, one in each and shortcuts (if you want on the desktop) 3. they are already active, clicking the key will disable them, hover over the icon for the module, active modules the pointer wont change, if not active it makes a pointy finger and when you click it it'll download & install if you own it

why does the windows task bar pop up when dcs is running??
Dingo_Bob replied to Raven434th's topic in DCS 2.9
best way to check if you are on true full screen mode is to use volume up and down function on keyboard, if the windows volume control as seen in screen below pops up over the DCS screen then you are not full screen, Alt & Enter then try again and it shouldn't show up but you'll hear the volume increase / decrease -
Swapping SATA Cables, DCS now in Will Robinson Mode
Dingo_Bob replied to BigMotor's topic in Game Crash
short cut should be to dcs_updater.exe but if you use the GUI tool by SkateZilla all will be golden  https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=160053 -
check the videos of in pit the Gazelle will fly almost hands off Straight & level, pilots only making very slight adjustments as needed for wind, in one of the episodes, 3 or 5 can't remember, one of the senior instructors flies just by feel you can see him flying with eyes closed hands just resting loosely around the stick feeling for small changes and correcting with small touches to the stick and collective https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=174759

Getting tired of these type of posts, you can't compare the Gazelle to the Huey or any other DCS heli, they are different animals A good read, ttps://books.google.com/books?id=QvIaAgAAQBAJ&pg=PA79&lpg=PA79&dq#v=onepage&q&f=false and from what I can tell the modeling of the Gazelle is pretty close to how it should behave It shouldn't pitch with rudder input as the Fan blows air horizontally and not angles like the majority of most other heli's along with the SAS that counters it VRS is also countered by the shape of the tail - it disrupts the airflow blowing down and under the aircraft so there is lessened vrs effect

Hi Sahaj Just received my 20cm extension, great service, really well made love the feel of the polished finish on it, just took the F-5 up for a spin and all I can say is why didn't I do this sooner, so much more accurate no fighting the spring, gotta get used to the aircraft with it, it's like day one DCS all over again

How about a "common" Saved Games folder?
Dingo_Bob replied to gospadin's topic in DCS Core Wish List
while waiting on the merge, check your 6 :D use the GME tool https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=171956 - have one Skin collection folder on a HDD, SSD, rpository, somewhere or anywhere and let GME point it to user\savedgame\liveries or mods\aircraft\*Plane*\liveries folders so they can be activated -
just PRT SCRN key will do DCS saves the images to \Users\*yourname*\Saved Games\DCS\ScreenShots or \Users\*yourname*\Saved Games\DCS.openalpha\ScreenShots

I found this in an old file cabinet at home, got the magazine it as a present when I was 12 while recovering from appendix operation thought I'd share it here before it degrades any further it's the center pull out pages from Aviation News Magazine from October 1976 the had a whole write up about the Tomcat that month iirc I'm going to see if i can get them scanned at a better resolution camera isn't the best :D Edit: updated the pics, yes it a Tornado, also rest of the page is bout various airshows & planes spotted on visits to the UK during the year 1976 (shame I don't have the full magazine anymore)

is it possible to use the Razbam M2C pit for the other Dassault aircraft? or does that break stuff since they're FC level
-
@UF_Winterz yes you can set the server app ip to home and players joining connect to via your public ip, also the server does not need to be on a machine with DCS can be anything & anywhere you want it.

Is it reasonable for the F-14 to be finished in 2016?
Dingo_Bob replied to Jaktaz's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
so keeping with the bus analogy, does that mean after all the waiting 3 will come along at once :D
