  1. 6 is correct for Full NORM alignment, Stored heading align only gets to 10. The difference in accuracy is not that relevant at the moment as we don't have INS/GPS guided munitions like JDAMs etc.
  2. Please calm down, the F-16 hasn't been abandoned. ED has taken time off from development over the holiday period. This happens EVERY YEAR. The EU/US staff are away for the normal Christmas break and then in Russia a lot of January is taken up with national holidays as well. Things will get back on track. Give them a chance, jeez.
  3. You’re going to be waiting a while for the F-16 to be “Completed”, probs 2021. I’d jump on board now and have fun with what’s there and understand that there will be bugs and unfinished things... but there is plenty to still enjoy. But that’s just how I do it.
  4. Can you be more specific what sub-modes of dogfight mode you mean that aren’t currently modelled?
  5. Damn. Sniped! I was just about to post this as well.
  6. Frederf, did your test mission have zero wind?

    BIT

Might want to be more specific. Lots of components in aircraft run BITs, which one do you mean specifically? Also it’s like ATM Machine, you just said “The Built In Test test is missing.”
  8. Weight is only one part of the equation, drag is the other. A single Mk-84 on a pylon is MUCH less draggy then a TER with 2 CBU-97s. Also you mention him taking Mk-82s? OP said he was taking CBU-97s which on its own is much draggier then a Mk-82.
  9. The only trim you should need is roll really. I can't remember using pitch trim in the F-16 at all. I agree the aileron trim is sensitive, you just need to flick the trim hat as quickly as possible.
  10. 3 Tanks + TERs and 4 CBUs is going to be A LOT of drag and weight. If you're going a long way I'd take 2 tanks and 2 bombs (probs MK84) or if they have to be CBUs only take 2 of them.
  11. Hmmmm no. Try clearing out the FXO and Metashaders2 folder in your Saved Games DCS folder, might fix the issue.
  12. This, exactly this.
  13. I do it in about a second, two quick clicks and it seems to work fine...
  14. Good work PetRock. Just a question, was this latest open beta patch?
  15. I'm sure it will be adjusted in due corse, but it is not a priority right now. It has no effect on the functioning of the aircraft in the sim. There are bigger fish to fry. I would like to see it corrected but I wouldn't expect it until after the aircraft is otherwise feature complete tbh.
  16. My bro who flew Danish F-16AMs for 4 years around 2012 told me that you can reduce range with the cursor while in TWS... In fact he was extremely confused while using my sim over Xmas why he couldn't. I don't see why the Block-50 would be different from that... but who knows.
  17. Once you set the INS switch to either of the alignment settings you then confirm each line of the existing coordinates by going ICP Enter / dobber down / Enter / dobber down / enter / dobber down etc until you've confirmed each line of the existing coords, alt and heading if you're doing a stored heading alignment.
  18. Ah ok thats a different problem to the rest of this thread, perhaps there is a binding issue with his pitch trim? I've done hundreds of takeoffs, touch and goes and carrier landings followed by launches and never had any issues as long as i've reset the FCS and cycled the flaps a few times.
  19. Dragon, Before takeoff press the FCS reset button and cycle the flaps from auto-half-full and then back to half for takeoff.. All your problems should be solved.
  20. Nice flying! Good work! Have you ever seen this Demo? It would be cool to see you have a go at that, seems somewhat more aggressive then the current one.
  21. The 37000 ft Mark also coincided with the aircraft accelerating past the relatively draggy transonic zone. I'd expect to see the acceleration rate increase as transonic drag decreases. Note image below not F-16 related, just for illustrative purposes.
  22. Yeah it absolutely should be calculated in reference with with aircraft and NOT the world.
  23. The only reason I reach for the Hornet these days is if I need to throw a HARM at something. I can't see me flying the Hornet much once the Viper gets Harms/ HTS and Mavericks. Then I'll be a happy camper. All of the above is not surprising though. F4 was the first really serious combat sim I played and my brother spent a few years flying the F-16 so its really what I've been waiting for tbh. But everything everybody has said is true, currently the F-18 is just a more capable jet. Nowhere near as pretty as the Viper tho.
  24. I've had a constant problem with this on Hoggit Georgia at War or Persian Gulf at war. Data link full of red contacts, and even if I IFF them and get a green Mode 4 return they stay red. I haven't tried since the last patch but ill try and get a short-ish track and see if I can show anything tomorrow.
  25. I don't know the mission, are you using the TGP and swapping steerpoints while the TGP is running and you're in CCRP AG mode? In the above scenario there is a bug that will move the next steerpoint to wherever the TGP is currently looking. Way around this is to use the bomb mode switch (nose wheel steering button) to swap to CCIP mode, Swap the steerpoint and then go back to CCRP and it should slave to the new point without altering the SP location.
