Hellicopters in this game are pretty awesome. I'm saving up to buy the gazelle next.

:helpsmilie: So last year I decided to quit all flight sims. My computer was broken and so I sold all my DCS modules after looking through threads, etc and trying to work out if it was legal. The thread was never locked or shut down so I assumed it was OK and forgot all about it. I then sold and transferred all my modules to new users. I sold them at a huge loss to what I paid ED. I never planned to use the so since I thought it was like accepting a few $ from a friend for something I had no plans to use again. I come back and read that they have changed the system. What I did breaks the rules? So I'm on my module manager about to re-buy a couple of planes when just for fun I check the serial number of one of the modules I brought and then sold and press 'bind to my account' It binds :doh:Oh dear. I open the game and it allows me to download and use the module again. (Awww man this user is going to be mad!) So I do actually want this module again, but who is in the right? Do I give the person a re-fund from the original amount? I din't think it would re-bind. Do I have to re-buy the module at rrp? I kinda feel like I just stole the module  from this user. I paid ED so I'm set with that, but I did technically give it away to them so even though i want it, it is theirs. Do I still own all the keys I transferred so should I issue re-funds since I could technically re-bind all the modules I had to my account? Will ed (because of this thread) ban the keys? So what is the correct rule for this situation? Was it now illegal for me to transfer the modules and accept a payment or was it the users own fault for buying them when they should have paid the correct price as I did off the ED website or got them in an ed sale? Do I accept I sold it and re-buy the module(s) again from ed (paying them twice). Some mess I just make for myself.

V cool. Well worth a re-watch.

You learn to filter out complaints from customers. A case like ED, they know they have a good product and they know people will pay for it. It just needs a little polishing, that's all. It's not broken. With their technical ability to make world class aircraft simulations they could market these modules as trainers for real pilots if the home user market dried up such was with the A10c. They have nellis so it's not a far fetched idea. I sometimes stand and admire the mustang at duxford thinking... ...technically I could start that now. Flying it might be quite a leap though! Real mustang pilots have flown the one in the game as they would their real plane and told the devs how similar. If I recall there were a couple of differences, but I forgot what they were. For what it is, DCS is the best flight product current on sale. You can spend as little or as much money as you wish. You could easily only ever fly the tf51 and the frog foot which is one of the best planes in the game. Just for fun - An Indonesian mustang and miss Velma. i notice people always mention price, but why do people even feel the need to buy every single plane that comes out? If you are financially secure then no problem, but even having 15 dcs level planes I can't imaine someone plays all of them or plays all of them well as if you have one or two. I, certainly made that mistake in the past and then found I had no time to enjoy using them. There is a case for this conversation with the ww2 planes and the corean era fighters because they are simpler, but if you own the A10c that's about most of your gaming time to be an expert in it. I would say then that it's certainly worth the full price even with it being as old as it is now it's still THE benchmark for the A10 study level. If then you become an expert in the A10C systems, are you suddenly an expert in delivering your ordinance to the intended targets co-ordinatig with other team members and becoming a valuable asset to your team? Just because you own one or two modules and you don't play every day the game does not mean you don't like it. It's a hobby not a job after all. You shouldn't really be playing every day if you don't feel like it. Should ED change their path? Meh. I've not spoken to their lead so i have no idea what their end goal is. Be certain though that many of these plane pits wil be the benchmark for a long time and each one could be classed as to a game unto itself.

Thanks, +1 this worked exactly. I also tried just opening the file with notepad and setting the tf51 to true and re-saving it which also fixed the issue. Can now login and launch game.

I've got exact same problem. Disabled tf51 because I only wanted to play with the frogfoot and maybe buy the a10c again. Re-started and the game loads, but does not let me log in. When I go to module manager it stops at 12% and have to force crash it. I even re-installed the game, but something must have still remained because the tf51 was still disabled and still would not start. I have done repair and deleted auto update.log followed by repair without luck. I tried deleting the tf51 and letting the game re-download it. First time with this problem. You can usually disable any module if you simply wish to not display it. I can bypass the login and use the options menu, but when you try and fly a plane the game won't load.

Still rubbish for training before going against ace multi player and getting wrecked over and over, getting bored and not playing. Last ai 190 I tried to shoot down landed with all the blades broken on its prop. Wings full of holes, engine full of holes. Pilot probably shot 20 times.

Started in 2011, still going in 2016. Pointless thread is pointless. Where we're going we don't need roads. Now, everybody listen to me! You wanna get out of here, don't you? It is impossible! Well, we'll see. Is that how this story ends? You wanna get out of here, don't you? Great Scott! Doc! Doc! My name is Lord Vader. I am an Extraterrestrial from the planet Vulcan.

Labels does not help in multiplayer though and based on ai that can stay in the sky with ridiculous amounts of damage and maneuver perfectly in the sky then add the poor spotting I don't think the ww2 stuff is worth it and I've not even fought in my ww2 planes for over a year. I can't see myself ever playing them again in actual combat.

Bs2 has about 10 million more switches and is harder to fly and shoot in than the mig 21. Download the english pit from the mod section and follow the in-game startup tutorial which takes about 10 min. You only need to flick around six switches to get it turned on and about 5 min to get it in the air. The F-86 sabre is probably one of the easiest click pits to start, land and fly. Feel free to take mine off my hands. At least once you master the mig 21 in dcs you'll be able to get into a real one and fly it. :D

100fps. You can tell. 60fps should be min. 30 is suck.

No more needing to de-frag either. 5TB SSD? Puny, PUNY! 16TB SSD. http://arstechnica.co.uk/gadgets/2015/08/samsung-unveils-2-5-inch-16tb-ssd-the-worlds-largest-hard-drive/

Even since this was posted ages ago the AI still has issues which is really annoying. Mustang (me) vs 190. (AI) Good little fight till I run out of ammo. AI Goes in for a perfect landing covered in bullet holes, damaged tail and lands. When it turns its engine off the prop is destroyed. I've never had the chance to have enough holes put in the 190 as something breaks or looses control long before the prop breaks. I never feel one vs one against the AI as if they have different fms or are able to fly perfect all the time or have different damage models.

ED SIMS SCREENSHOT AND VIDEO THREAD!!!! (NO USER MODS OR COMMENT)

So there is wildlife in the dcs waters.... Great pic. -
I got this game because of the ww2 birds. I got sidetracked by all the other fancy stuff, but at heart I'm a piston pilot. The 109 is just everything. Hard to use, rewarding to fly and you look damn cool using it.

Just got back from work (12h time difference!). PM sent.

A bad pilot is a bad pilot no matter the plane  I started with fc3 too. Worst thing I ever did. It got me to buy all the other modules!
