As rongor said, that's it. There are countless youtube tutorials for the a10, it only takes a lil bit of effort to find a proper one. ExcessiveHeadspace, Gerry Abbott, Bunyap Sims and even Ralfidude have done pretty cool tuts. Seek and you shall find.

Here's why i dont think it's a problem (95℅ of the times): If you are taking off loaded with weapons, there should be at least 20 second gap between rolls. -

To aim with the TGP in A-A mode you can depress the piper to 41 mils, which is the TGP boresight. You do this with the "DEPR" rocker switch in the UFC and the number of mils can be read on the left side of the HUD somewhere below the airspeed. EDIT: canged the mils to 41 :p -
I beleive the maple flag campaigns require you to have q thorough understanding of the aircraft and it's systems before you try them. You should definetely start with the tutorials that come with the game, all of them! After that u might need the good ol' RTFM. Here's Recon Stewart's Youtube Channel, here he posts playthroughs of all Maple Flag Campaigns.

Did you check the fuel flow on the left engine? maybe there was a leak in the left tank and the only way to notice is taking a close look at the fuel indicator, if one side drains faster then there is a leak. And as Cow said, gun failure/jam is only communicated through the DSMS. The best way to proceed with this type of situations is to save a track, or take some screenshots. Even taking a look at the debriefing window, which shows all the failures of the session, including non-caution-panel cautions! Just now i finished a mission in "The Enemy Within" campaign by Baltic_dragon (highly recommendable!!!!) and i got hit by a zues gun, I lost my VHF FM radio and i wondered why in the hell the jtac wasn't responding. After I landed I looked at the debriefing and my antenna had been shot to shite.

China Hat Aft Long by definition will "Slave TGP to steerpoint". Having that said, if you were designating the SPI with the TGP, the steerpoint will become your SPI.

I guess that works toó :). But keeping it as a backup tool is always good. There's no right or wrong in this case, you can do whatever is more comfortable. I try to stay heads up as much as possible and in a dangerous situation i wouldn't use the tgp too much, it drains situational awareness.

using the tgp to create a SPI if you acquire something visually is like tryin to find a needle in haystack. Thus if u see something of interest u can point your aircraft in the general vecinity of said point of interest and set it with the hud. If we were to have the HMCS it would be just a matter of pointing your HEAD in that point and setting up the SPI, but that's far out of reach here :(

I don't think there's a halfway point between full sim and casual in the A-10C. If u wanna blow stuff up may I suggest the A-10A?

Alright I'm putting this back in here (thanks derelor): - p.90, 1st paragraph: "Coolant Temperature Gauge", should be "Oil Temperature Gauge". (EDIT: sniped by 1st post) - p.124, last line says: "Enectrical Kill Switch", should be "Electrical Kill Switch". - On multiple images, the "Oil Temperature Gauge" swaps between Orange and Red outer ring color, which is a mind**** cause orange-ish is fuel related and red is oil related.

Yup, kontiuka is right, to unhook simply TMS AFT SHORT while TAD SOI.

The hook symbol (dashed box) in the HUD is only present when you have a hooked icon in the TAD page (TMS FWD SHORT on a TAD icon). So to remove it you must unhook it by slewing the TAD cursor to the currently hooked symbol and doing TMS AFT SHORT. The hook symbol is independant of the SPI and it's only dependant of the TAD page.

CA brings a whole 'nother level to COOP. Lately I've been doing some sessions with friends. I was Ground Commander in command of an abrams platoon and a bradley platoon, aswell as some arty while providing Terminal Attack Control from one of the Abrams, throwing flares, smokes, etc. Being able to include the human aspect of FACing in such an awesome a/c sim is awesome.

Regarding curves, I used to have roll/pitch at 25 (X-52) and it made me rubberband like crazy when trying to do AAR. Later i watched a video of Bunyap where he said something along the lines of "try to keep the curves as linear as possible, since that's how the aircraft has been represented by the developers/testers". And after that I changed to 3 to 5 on the curves and I've never had to struggle with AAR ever again. That's my own personal experience and what Bunyap said made a lot of sense for me.
