  1. Well, heck, I'm ready to buy the Spit and the Jug.
  2. Yup. Can't wait to try out that radial powered steel bucket against the Jerrys. Can we get a hint as to the timeframe??? Pleeeeeeeeeeease???
  3. Yeah, Ultra, I think you might be right. My memory is playing games with me lately. Oh well, that scenario forces us to work harder. Screen shots. Alt Prnt. But how do you get a strong of them to save without exiting? Or is it by taking frames from a Shadowplay vid?
  4. Sweet! I actually helped someone! Good to be able to do that once in a while. Thanks for the rep. :)
  5. Ya know, I think I was on that mission, too. I remember someone talking about that very thing. I had just dropped a couple myself, and there were no explosions, splashes or any indication that anything had dropped. I was looking back after only 5 seconds or so. Rockets that hit it on the next pass didn't seem to leave any smoke.
  6. I ban all IPs from China on a site I run. I used to get all kinds of crap from them.
  7. I just picked up 15-18 FPS by looking at my NVIDIA control panel settings for Manage 3D Settings, Multi Display /Mixed GPU acceleration Changed to SINGLE from multi Seems it defaulted to multiple monitor mode. Set it to single and you'll pick up a few.
  8. Thanks, SharpeXB. My noob contribution to the community.
  9. I could start MP at 40 or so frames, which drop to 35 or lower as I approached a town, and then down to 9 to 11 as things started happening. To fix this, I turn off aliasing, cut everything to "low" in Options, reduced resolution dramatically. Basicly, took the thing down to minimums, and it was choppy when I need vision the most. Tried windowing it, even. Cut out all unneeded processes... Turns out to be a setting in my NVidia control panel. In "managed 3D settings", the "multiple display performance" option was selected. I changed it to "single, and now I can play at full res - 1920x1080. I start out at 62 - 64 frames, and drop to 40ish playing. I can get it even lower as the action builds, but it is PLAYABLE now. My card has a 128 bit bus, which I think rally stuffs it up but, without a different card and power supply, I'm not going to find a better answer. So, those of you with minimal machines, be sure to check your NVIDIA settings in the driver for obvious whack-job selections. Sorry, can't help AMD users.....
  10. That was a great video, Solty. If it were black and white, it would be a great retro war film.
  11. CTGuy1955 - I switch tanks, too. Especially when on a decently long trip to a combat zone and I want to set trim and forget 'er for a bit.
  12. All previous flights, nothing but keyboard vision. Very next flight, TrackIR5.
  13. For WWII scenarios, I wouldn't include the F8F. Not unless "hypothetical" rules are in place, and that would mean all kinds of other planes involved. No. I'd prefer any server I flew on to either keep it away. Instead of putting effort into something like that, I'd rather see it applied to tuning existing aircraft of historical note. If it wasn't fighting in a meaningful way, it has no place.
  14. That is HISTORY right there. And that skin is beautiful. Together, they make some very nostalgic notions arise. Someone oughta fly that lil bird in a tribute video. Too beautiful. Thread should be a "sticky" in the P-51 section.
  15. Running 7 on a refurbed machine that cost me under $200 on NewEgg. Dropped a GTX 750Ti SC in it. Took about 3 hours to set it up initially, with a clean license, and updates. Runs pretty good! Wife and I both run Win7 machines. Hers is an i5. Zero problems, nice performance. I'm 6GB, she's 8.
  16. It would be a hell of an opportunity for terrorist action.
  17. I think that's all I have for that. Get 'er cooled down, too, because the RPMs add to the heat.
  18. Every day is a special event on DoW #2. :D My equipment hinders my experience, but even so, I really like that place. Flew a mission last night going up a canyon looking for ground Jerries in a convoy. Loved it, even though I ate dust 3 times.
  19. I love that gunship version. That's a lot of firepower on such a hotrod of a bomber.
