  1. You can also heavily rely on the DCS:Mi8-MTV2 manual, as the two aircraft's systems are incredibly similar.

  3. My Hornet still doesn't have a manual. Neither does my Viper. My Viggen manual is still a "Release Candidate"
  4. You need to slowly move forward to engage the shuttle of the catapult.

So while removing wheel chocks are part of the F-14's operation, they are also a relatively minor part compared to the aircraft's central missions of carrier operations, fleet defence interceptor, air superiority fighter, strike aircraft, forward air control platform and others. That's why things have to be prioritized according to the aims of the sim it is part of.

And when you ran a scenario in Jane's F/A-18E Super Hornet, did it instruct you to lift the guard of this switch, turn it on, and view the spin recovery symbology on the DDI's, before resetting the switch and continuing the scenario? And that it was important to accomplish this step because it was a cue for the ground crew to pull the chocks?

  9. If he calls "group of units," you won't know how many there are, but that there are a certain number of them. Upon scanning them, you will see the number is (in this example) 20, and what each type of unit it is.
  10. Hi, I don't think we're talking about the same thing here. I believe this thread is about the Petrovich reports of units he can see outside of the canopy, not the "Target List" when using the periscope. I assume at some point the text will be replaced with voice lines. There will be no list for you to sort through, and these reports are for units long before they have a chance to sit under you.
  11. I'd like to suggest lowering the counting threshold to 8. I.E. Petrovich stops counting unit numbers after 8 units. I think I don't really care if the number of units is between 8 and 20. Also at most I have 8x ATGMs. I'd also like to have a discussion if others have other numbers in mind.

  14. The pilot's cold start isn't useful in a sim. The trigger which the RIO is waiting for before turning on numerous systems in the back seat, for fear of damaging them.. isn't really useful in a sim.

  17. Pressing "Show/Hide Pilot" does not display the pilot on the first press, on the 2nd press it shows the pilot. With the pilot displayed, the first press hides the pilot, but 2 presses is needed to show the pilot again. In the track, I begin the exercise after 20 seconds (on the cockpit clock), I contemplate using the timer, but decide I will use the sweeping second hand, and apply the key command on every 5 second interval of the minute (25-30-35-40 etc).   18. There's a bolt and nut which hold the trigger into position (trigger rotates around it). Use an allen key to very carefully loosen the bolt. It sounds like it's too tight.
  19. Yeah, it's basically what we in the west would call "track hold" or probably more precisely, "track select"

  21. This track is incredibly short. You appear to only make two attempts to use the sight. The first attempt finishes the animation, but at the exact moment the animation finishes, you switch to external view. Then you switch back to cockpit view for the 2nd attempt. I assume this is where you're spamming the binding? Actually, you take the periscope immediately before switching to external view. In this version, I take control of your track after you switch into cockpit view after viewing the outside. The command always works for me, but there is an animation glitch with the pilot body. That is until I make several inputs, at which point the animation rests, and I end the track. HindADSAttempt 2.trk
  22. My next suggestion is for you start trying to remove mods one at a time to find the source. EDIT: Was there any point in the past at which this worked for you? Or have you always had this problem?
