  1. RBs A7 should be able to do this, this is the only aircraft capable of this in the pipeline afaik.

  3. Plus it would be more easily acceptable as a SEAD aircraft for MP over the Hornet, in addition to carrying more HARMs as well? Its ability to use command guided walleye, and afaik the only aircraft lined up capable of carrying a buddy fuel pod gives plenty of reason.
  4. Maybe try some different missions? What exactly is not working? Is the overhead control panel not showing or are the controls on the panel non responsive? I've tried it a few times during the beta period and it seemed to work fine. Also make sure you are in fact on the new version.
  5. I have always left the handle in the full up position, I don't think I've ever lost pressure until the recent patch. I thought dead brakes at landing was some new bug at first but this explains it I guess. It was certainly re-implemented if it was indeed removed in the early days.
  6. 14 curvature with 82 saturation, standard warthog stick. I have no problems with accuracy.
  7. No idea what you guys are talking about, landings and manoeuvres are smoother and more precise than they have ever been.
  8. People deploying countless units that are all trying to path around obstacles. I would like to see a test ran that removed the deployables and see if it still descends into warpcity after 1 hour.
  9. R3R are fairly effective against fighters at 'long' range in headons, they don't turn as well as they used to but they do give you a longer arm than IR. Recommend messing around with them in editor to get a feel for their limits. Also, locking with beam mode gives you something approaching a CQC mode with them.

  11. So if you want it to work like before, you basically have to select the individual pylons. For instance if you before had it set to 1/2, you now set it to 1 and it will fire 1 first but then if you keep holding down the release it will also fire 2. Just like it worked before with 1/2. That is assuming you have an IR/SARH combo. Obviously there are a number of variations in which things are handled depending on your exact load and settings, but it's all fairly intuitive. It's best to go into editor and just fire off missiles for 20 mins to get a feel for it.

  13. Currently the Kh66 booster looks like its on the tail of the missile, rather than coming out of the 2 nozzles on the sides of the missile.
  14. Any chance of bumping the server up to openbeta? Would be nice with all the 21 and Viggen stuff. edit: well, seems like it's joinable just fine even with the beta on.
  15. I wonder how likely it is that there isn't one, it's hard to imagine considering how incredibly useful it is in the A10C.
  16. Devs have also posted pics already of it carrying tripple racks with Rockeyes, Gbu12 and rocket pods.

    It would be a better solution, though I think the Arma solution (low res textures for non-owners) and an inability to place it in editor would be ideal. Wags discussed this option for WW2 pack, saying that they didn't 'want' to do that. No mention of it being technically not possible. Perhaps Razbam would be able to go down that road if it is a technical possibility.

    Or even the guy who just flies his A10C or FC3 plane and not interact in any way with the Harrier or the LHA, who would still need to buy the ships in order to keep playing on the server. This would not be that much of an issue if there was large choice of servers, but the reality of DCS is that you can count the relevant servers on one hand. All of these offer mission structures where a single ground unit or plane type can never be particularly important to the mission as a whole. The reality of it being implemented in this form, ie such as the way WW2 unit DLC is, the value of the package for anyone primarily interested in MP is whether or not these few servers decide to use them. Now unless this number is outrageously high, ie over 80% of the people would have the pack, it seems like an almost no brainer to not use the pack on the server since it would exclude too many people. It would be my guess that 50% owning it would be optimistic, so that would make a server admins choice very easy. Especially in the case of this pack since both red and blue have free carriers available as an alternative. Anyway, that's just illustrating the problem as I see it with these sort of packs.
  19. Thanks for that, should make it interesting to fly. Always gives a bit of immersion to operating when you need to keep an eye on such things. Maybe I just haven't read the right pilot accounts, I would expect poor reliability, or even the perception of poor reliability, to always be prominently featured. The most negative I've read is from maintenance personnel absolutely loathing working on them towards the end of their service life, as their equipment was constantly breaking down. Don't recall anything particularly negative from the guys doing the flying. Anyways, are these documents on engine handling publically accessible somewhere? Would be nice to read up on that if possible.
  20. Seems like a fine version to choose to me. Some ground attack capability, some missile capability and it has guns. Don't see the issue.
  21. I've never read about engine problems affecting the A7 to any notable degree. Wasn't it AOA that caused issues on the F14? I'd imagine that such an issue would not be that noticeable on a subsonic attack plane in general, if it was present at all. http://www.ejection-history.org.uk/Aircraft_by_Type/CORSAIR_II/A_7_USN.htm All navy losses of A7s, with commentary where available. No idea if the amount of losses due to engine problems is unusual.

    Yeah that is also a key question for me, did you guys decide how this would be added? As an MP player, if it works like the WW2 unit pack I doubt there will be many servers that would put it in.
  23. There are no known schedules on any of those, and some like the Mi24 are probably still a very long time out.
  24. It's probably on the backburner until other projects are done and until ED has a usable groundradar available. It has been repeatedly said that they are/will be making an A7.
  25. Did non-SEAD single seater F105s carry RWR equipment?
