I noticed the instruments become dim again some 5-10 seconds after I turn UV lights rheostats (left, right) to maximum. Anything else I forgot to turn on? Only needed it once in the Relic campaign so far...

Reported here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=212320 but no one seems to care. This 'scripting.dll' error seems to exclusively haunt my Docker mission in this campaign. Maybe because there are many comms involved, who knows. I really enjoyed the campaign so far and love the visuals/trees in 2.5 (((

Hi all, hope the devs are reading this forum. I installed 2.5 and am puzzled how to set up my axes. In 1.5 I used to have one axis for throttle - the grey slider on my Warthog (uninstalled this version, so can't look now). Now there are separate "Throttle Left" and Throttle Right". There is one twist handle to on the collective stick, one key pair PgUp/PgDn and the manual only mentions one throttle. So I am confused. Nowhere in manual I can find what the "Corrector" is. I tried copying my old 1.5 bindings, and they worked, BUT I started getting random "scripting.dll" errors in the missions. I don't know if the bindings are at fault, so trying a clean start. Also, it would be nice to have a key assignment for GUV (ГУВ) fire selector switch.

Hi all, Loving the new 2.5 visuals, but can't continue with my Mi8 campaign (Spring Tension). When I press the comms menu button there is some 50% chance the game will crash, so I can't complete the long Docker mission. It did not happen (yet) in the Relics campaign for Mig15, but I did see one crash in Huey on PG map. Both VR and non-VR modes. Support went silent after the usual "did you try turning off and on again" (clean/repair/update). Anybody could have a look? Thanks a lot!!! Anyone noticed that SOME trees' etc shadows change as you fly by? Get shorter, move from side to side? Flicker behind lamp posts? Both default and flat only...

I tried VR with SSAA = 2, seems to reduce shimmering. It works fine for a few minutes, but then DCS crashes. Same fate with different module/terrain/driver combinations. I use Oculus Tray Tool to set PD = 2. Does it even make sense to have SSAA and PD at the same time? Logs attached. dcs.log-20180605-120952.zip

I attempted this mission a dozen times and still cannot finish it. With full load I can only take off as an airplane - by rolling first on the grass, and often crash. I stay on 1.5 because the trees are non-collidable. Is there some trick to taking off properly?

Is it only in 2.5 or 1.5 too? I had this due to USB overload. Had to buy Fresco Logic based controller (Inateck KTU3FR-5O2U), install Oculus Tray Tool (it has Fresco registry tweaks) and play around with USB connection assignments. Now it's smooth.

Hi all, my 1.5 stops reacting to keyboard/Target commands randomly. I think this is related to pilot losing consciousness (dark screen) in some situations after being shot. Even ESC key is not working, must wait until crash/explode will end the mission. It appears that such "software flag" is not being reset after I start again in a new airplane. My analog inputs are working, but no keys except Alt-F4 are. Just had it twice in a row in Su-27 on "Just Dogfight" server. Maybe it also happens in single player, which I don't play. Am I the only one having to shut down and restart DCS every few minutes in multiplayer?

Not sure about Dropbox, but I was using a .cmd file with some xcopy /s /d /Y commands to synchronize my folders before launching DCS. That was before I gave up on 2.0 alfa. Waiting for 2.5 to have a fresh install... -

There are mods to put Mig21 in the start menu hangar. I've put mine on Kuznetsov carrier (attached). Then you just get up and walk around. To be able to "lay down" on the floor you must calibrate your Rift in the seated position. So that when you re-center in DCS before standing up, your head will be as far away from the virtual floor as in real life. VR - Kuznecow Carrier aircraft.rar

From the HANGAR floor - must me more than 2 meters to the top of the canopy. The plane hight is 4.7 m!

The height is the height, in VR or RL. If I can lower my head to the floor of the VR garage and then stand up, my eye level should be the same as in real life (I am 185 cm). If my head now is above the Mig21 canopy, something is wrong!

I agree it is small. Many times discussed in various threads. But the most convincing thing is to put Mig21 in virtual garage and stand next to it...

Fast ocsillations between 90 and 45 FPS are around 11 ms rendering latency. When at or under, 90 FPS is achievable, when over - ATW kicks in and the game runs at 45. I do not understand the conclusion, that DCS "is limited by itself" and no CPU/GPU pair can run it with Shadows On and Visibility > Low. In the penultimate chart you show that 10% CPU overclock increases average FPS by about 10%. So, the game, as has always been the case, relies on IT technology from the distant future (((. -
I think they only work with Windows 10. Funny, Oculus recommends GTX 640 )) I use VNC Viewer on Android phone when my HDMI is occupied by OR.
