  1. shouldn't be possible because the throttle is out of the idle detent, also only happens with the SEC switch flipped
  2. Roll trim inconsistency the roll trim in the Viper is acting very inconsistent and especially with it carrying TGP or having some kind of autopilot function on. First track here: I enabled altitude hold autopilot, used the override to hold at 20,000 ft MSL and 300 kts with the throttle... I input some roll trim using the grey POV hat of my thrustmaster warthog stick and I am able to get the plane to stay wings level fairly easy without much roll trim or manual control on the stick ( I guess this may be because of the autopilot, but even with the autopilot engaged at the start you can see an un-commanded constant right bank because of not being trimmed) https://drive.google.com/file/d/11JO4MIF75dDmHAPWxDuXcrqaBx63Pdhp/view?usp=sharing same exact situation and mission except I fly manually with my hand on the stick without any autopilot functions engaged... Again, I set speed to 300 and altitude to 20,000 ft MSL except this time I am unable to get the aircraft trimmed to stay wings level in roll and the plane is constantly rolling either to the left or the right. It is almost like DCS is giving too much input in roll trim in either direction with just a tap of my trim hat on my stick. The only way I could hold level is either to constantly input left or right trim or to put constant pressure with my hand on the stick to hold level. I can hardly think this kind of behavior on a fly by wire computer controlled plane... https://drive.google.com/file/d/1d1JTsWsqS1vZBI4m6hltIxeRfIeIk_UU/view?usp=sharing each time I was using my trim hat on the Thrustmaster warthog stick but similar behavior is happening using the rollers on the trim panel inside the cockpit as well...
  3. RWS STT to Dogfight drops lock I don't know if this is correct as in the real Viper, because logically it seems counterproductive to drop an existing STT lock within 5 miles to cycle to dogfight mode. But if you use your radar to lock a target in RWS mode in STT and if the target is within 5 miles switch to dogfight mode, your radar will drop your STT lock and try to acquire again in the dogfight mode. Shouldn't the expected behavior be that the STT lock is maintained and you enter dogfight mode with an already existing radar track? Especially if the radar locked target is within 5 miles. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_hURNNmC5H56Ygwj7WH5PVCYd9wiPM8Z/view?usp=sharing
  4. In the Viper training mission where you do the cold startup going to SEC as instructed always causes my engine and electrical to shut off, it won't go to the RPM it says in the mission to reach before throttling down.
  5. commands to tell wingman using the left windows keybinds are not working, like cover me or engage bandits... Left windows + w Left windows + b
  6. just ran into my RWS scan going completely crazy on me with the elevation of the bars in a 4 bar scan it was spazzing out at like 2 bars scan and very quick duration. Track here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Vbw9EEYa8wI8iuUevR8gRqdd8H6Y-dVv/view?usp=sharing
  7. erased
  8. honestly this should be for every plane in DCS where the pilot wears a helmet with flip down visor, some 3rd parties have added such but to date the visual effect is not the best until I think ED makes their own sun visors

  9. I had it happening constantly with T-90s in a city in Syria map, I used the Ds and Gs... It would lock buildings and street lamps and sometimes be cycling targets nearby when TMS UP. TGP handoff would work only if the WPN page could lock, but inside of a city the WPN page is not locking the intended targets most of the time.
  10. there is a track there for viewing pleasure too
  11. My Viper typically wants to pull to one side when I am braking during the landing roll out. I decided to do a fast run down the runway to test this out and I used the W key on the keyboard instead of my toe brakes on my rudder pedals and still the same results. Is the anti skid braking is not working properly on the F-16? Have a video I recorded and a track wasn't my best landing, I ended up bouncing on touchdown initially. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1V-2OajKToC9rrONgNe6k8ejHfwZl0Ekz/view?usp=sharing
  12. actually there should be a stores config warning light illumination if you are loaded with CAT III stores payload and have CAT I selected to tell you as the pilot yo switch to CAT III. Also the same applies in reverse if you drop all your CAT III stores like bombs and you still have the switch set to CAT III. It says hey pilot go to CAT I. Also this switch has nothing to do with G limitations and everything to do with maintaining controlled flight of the jet, at CAT III the AOA limit will drop from 25 to somewhere between 15-20 (can’t remember exactly) also rate of roll at full stick deflection is reduced and yaw rate is also reduced. Possibly pitch rate is reduced too but i’m not sure. You can still pull 9 G in CAT III, you just need to be fast enough where you won’t run into the lower end AOA limiter. this switch was added because the Viper is an inherently unstable aircraft when loaded with heavy weapons stores and the pilot can depart the aircraft easily in the right conditions maneuvering the aircraft at high AOA, so basically this takes the guesswork out of the hands of the pilot to make certain that the aircraft doesn’t inadvertently depart from controlled flight because the pilot was too ham fisted with the stick and forgot not to roll too fast in the heat of the moment.
  13. in his video they looked to be positioned in a pretty useless way too for checking behind you
  14. clearly the language barrier is getting in the way but I would love to know more information about how the MiG-29 should act in reflection of the real aircraft that it currently does not in DCS and its very telling when a former MiG-29 pilot says they only use the DCS MiG-29 as a wallpaper when not only they flew it IRL but that it was also their favorite plane. Please direct him to make the landing comments in the landing bounce thread and the maneuvering performance in this thread. I honestly would want to hear more information from them.
  15. in these 2 training missions: Su-33 Carrier Take-Off and Su-33 Carrier Short Take-Off the left engines will not start unless you turn electric power to off and then they will spool, also the same for the right engines. Su-33 - Carrier Take-Off.trk: Your file of 7.72 MB bytes exceeds the forum's limit of 5.00 MB for this filetype. so I can't upload the other track Su-33 - Carrier Short Take-Off.trk
  16. Also I created a thunderstorm right above me that has a base starting at 500m altitude in the same mission, you can see the cockpit glass still is shiny and reflecting the cockpit even under and in a thunderstorm where there should not be such an effect physically possible... Track is attached of this particular flight below: su33testzoomstorm.trk
  17. So I noticed in the Su-33 in the instrument panel glass of each and every instrument that I see reflections of my own cockpit inside, I don't think this should be there because you need to be able to do a quick scan of your instruments and this makes it more difficult to read... This is especially a pain in trying to land on the Kuznetsov using ILS in horrible weather. Just for my own sake of due diligence I used the same mission with every Soviet designed plane I can think of that I have in DCS and much to my amazement no other aircraft had this type of behavior of the instrument glass other than the oxygen quantity display on the L-39 but this is because it is reflecting an cockpit wall object that hangs right over the oxygen gauge so this is very understandable and realistic. The effect on the Su-33 however I sincerely think needs to be reviewed and adjusted as these reflections are also showing in times like inside shadows or under cloud cover Attached is numerous tracks of the same mission of me letting the various planes fly into the ground on their own without any intervention from me so you can see the changing light inside the cockpit as the planes nose up and down. if you look the zoomed in Su-33 track you can clearly see exactly what i'm talking about the most prevalent thing to notice is the red ejection handles and seat showing up in the engine temp gauges and ramp position for example. su33test.trk su33testzoom.trk su27test.trk su25test.trk su25ttest.trk l39ctest.trk l39zatest.trk i16test.trk mig15test.trk mig19test.trk mig21test.trk mig29atest.trk mig29stest.trk yak52test.trk
  18. ah the MiG is so beautiful, what do you do after main wheels touchdown as RL procedure? Aerobraking as long as possible and then nose down and use wheel brakes? Or immediately on touching down deployment of drag chute?
  19. Well something I noticed with the MiG-29 when I landed just a little short of the runway into the grass was the nose wheel had no bounce until I had it touch the concrete runway surface... See for yourself here: at the 7:00 mark you can see what I mean, when I hit short of the runway the nose didn't pogo up until the next strike on the concrete runway https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4412598&postcount=119 Also, I think in the future ED should give us more information about these airplanes in the .PDF manuals they provide... If a plane has particular special landing techniques and parameters we should be informed as users so we aren't confused and get frustrated. I really love the DCS manuals but I wish there was more information included with them like performance information. Also hope in the future we can have better tire explosion effects, they looked kinda weak in Yo-Yos video, IRL this is such a violent event and it even can send chunks of rubber into your own plane damaging systems and punching holes into things if you get large enough pieces of rubber
  20. I need to figure out the timing of the flare for landing also is it power on landing or the throttle must be at idle or it depends on aircraft weight?
  21. she needs alot of power to not fall out of the sky in those turns with landing configuration lol well, in those 45 degree turns anyways... If I shallow my turn she won't need as much but I got places to go and landing gear to set down Now if I could just figure out BFM in her without killing off all my speed and fuel by being in AB
  22. but is that intended that way or is it a bug? Because when you are at assigned altitude the deviation bar for altitude should be inside the white circle and the yellow needles should be centered unless i'm wrong
  23. If Yo-Yo confirms, now I am MiG Master! I made mission with clean plane with 50% fuel a little wind at 3 m/s same direction as runway and start from ground hot so I burn some fuel. First part of video is me trying to find out why I am not getting beacons to sound in cockpit then later on MiG Mastering starts at 12-15 and 20-30 if you just want to skip to MiG Master parts. First landing I started a little high above inner marker because I was testing marker and decided to land faster and just bleed the speed off in the flare for landing. Second landing which is my MiG Master landing starts from outer marker at 200m altitude and around 300 km/hr. Yo-Yo am I MiG Master? Track is in link here because too big for forums attachments https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JZ-dyZQYUpNK1gFutZoxyXqv4f46PCJH/view?usp=sharing
