  1. So the way to adjust for engagement of DLC is to add power a bit and add nose up trim to get back to onspeed AOA after activation of DLC? Where exactly in the case 1 pattern are you supposed to activate DLC? I was doing it on the downwind leg after roll out from the overhead break and fighting to trim to onspeed, but I haven't had much practice with it yet either.
  2. I'm not sure but I can't help but get the feeling that the DLC in the activated neutral position is causing a very large drop in decent rate compared to when DLC is off... I was wondering if this was accurate or still requires some tweaking still???

  5. Maybe that is the problem, is that the maneuvering flaps are coming out too early or something?
  6. Please can you guys change the emergency landing gear handle activation from a right click to a scroll of mouse wheel instead? I can't count how many times I have pulled that thing on the ground while trying to mess with switches below it for startup and then I have to grab another jet and the same thing happens again sometimes if i'm not careful. So annoying, please adjust it
  7. So, I had the great idea to use the ICS PTT so that it makes no difference if I have Jester in my back seat or a human RIO. This was a good idea I had to keep the same muscle memory and to make it instinctive to talk to Jester or my RIO using simple radio. However, I ran into an interesting snag... I found that I can bring up the Jester menu with the ICS PTT (thus not needing a separate key binding to control Jester or talk to a human RIO but that they would use the same) The problem was I was able to bring up the Jester menu, but I am not able to select anything at all in the rose menu unless I utilize the Jester menu keybind rather than my ICS PTT keybind. Using the ICS PTT keybind I am only able to cycle through his contextual menu, main menu, and turn the menu off. However, like I said... I am unable to select any Jester action in the menu using the ICS PTT key. But I am able to by using the Jester menu control key "A" by default. I would like to see this added / fixed in the future, as I would love to just use the ICS PTT to talk to my RIO in general... No matter if Jester or a human RIO. Thanks
  8. When do you turn the Wing/Ext Trans switch to AUTO from OFF? Every checklist I have read, real NATOPS and ingame HB manual make no mention of this in normal operation. But they do state clearly that for ground operation and take-off this switch should be placed to OFF. However, I find that once in the air the wing and external tanks will not feed the jet and you can starve the engine of fuel while still showing lots of fuel on board. So the question is, is something that should move the Wing/Ext Trans switch to AUTO not happening by itself yet? Or is it a manual action the should do to flip the Wing/Ext Trans switch to AUTO once in the air? Based on what I have read, it seems to me to be something that should happen automatically with several conditional points of activation. 1.MASTER TEST switch actuated in INST 2.when either thermistor in cell 2 or 5 is uncovered 3.when DUMP is selected 4.when REFUEL PROBE switch is in ALL EXTD some insight into this would be very helpful to avoid having fuel starvation to my engines with 8k lbs of fuel showing in the fuel totalizer window lol
  9. yeah that is true but you still need to use a curve to have the physical detent work as it should. The way I tested is to see if DLC and speedbrake retracts at hitting the MIL detent but not going into AB. In the F-14 when you hit MIL they are supposed to automatically retract. Have to be careful with your power inputs tho, it has screwed me up on approach alot when I give too much power and all that retracts and I have to extend them again (thats if i'm paying attention and I notice it and react quickly) this has been an age old gripe in DCS, why not have it so you could physically in the sim place where you want AB detent to be and then have MIL - IDLE as linear control???
  10. now the really odd thing is at 20k ft MSL and holding 10 units of AOA in level flight the KIAS drops drastically to around 180 KIAS as seen in my image, also the maneuvering flaps automatically come fully extended I think below 200 KIAS which may be part of the reason for these indications. I could try to manually override them to retract but i'm thinking in the real jet at cruise you guys didn't need to fuss with the maneuvering flaps for cruise.
  11. Here is what my instruments show when I tried that. Strange the way the airspeed indicator is above 200 KIAS, I couldn't tell what each mark denoted... It wasn't a mark for every 10 KIAS. AOA seems to show a value of 8.0 units
  12. In the Navigation training mission that came with the Tomcat module i'm flying at 20k ft at an alpha of 10 as shown in the cockpit AOA tape... Indicated airspeed is showing at 170 kts, surely that can't be right can it? My maneuver flaps also automatically come down. In that mission you have a fully fueled + external tanks Tomcat, no ordinance. Have screenshots to prove what i'm saying including fuel gauge if needed.

  14. the main gear wheel inside the sharp turn on deck should be turning backwards, in DCS this does not happen and the wheel is seen turning forwards.

  16. for the Warthog i'm using dead zone of 4 on and curve of +15 on pitch and roll... No stick extension, stock Warthog stick. This is the same settings Matt Wagner "Wags" was using in his Hornet setup.
  17. I'm not quite following by how you mean you setup your Warthog Stick, I'm just not understanding what you mean by the quirk you found. On my stick the coolie hat is controlling trim, but I too find that I am missing my targeted trim I want.
  18. please change it so you have to scroll the mouse wheel over the gear handle to make emergency gear extension... It has happened to me on the ground so much just trying to reach switches below it for startup

    I have the CH Pro rudder pedals and I had to open them up and re-solder some severed wires, not impressed that they just leave the wires exposed for the sled to just run them over...
  22. Hi, I finally got past mission 2 (you have to successfully do show of force just like you said) When I was moving around in F2 view I noticed that S-3 Viking and C-130 are spawned at same parking spot on Vaziani going to try mission 3 now

  25. I can't get the 2nd mission of the Mirage campaign in the Caucuses to progress for me... I get ordered by Prowler 1-1 to resume mission as fragged and then nothing happens from then on in terms of instructions from IPs in Colt flight... I have tried flying to different waypoints, forming up with Colt flight... Nothing seems to work after being told to do a show of force (which I tried but probably failed to do in time of message of Prowler 1-1 telling me to continue with mission as fragged) Loving it so far tho, very immersive!
