If you have the Warthog stick the A-10C is a no brainer - it makes the A-10C about 90% easier to learn and fly having a matching HOTAS. A-10C is also probably the easiest plane to fly it has a lot of feedback if you are going to stall or pulling too hard etc. Although as other have said, there are a lot of systems to manage - but that is also where the value comes in, you will have plenty to get your head around for a long time to come. Although you don't need to know much about any system to engage targets and just fly. I mean you can just use the HUD for everything.

I would be going to 4k @60hz for that kind of money. Assuming you don't mind 60hz. It's kinda hard to go back once you have had 120hz or more :) Something like this would make DCS sing Philips BDM4065UC 40inch 4K UHD LED Monitor

Q: Are there any plans to make airports occupied by functional workers and vehicles? e.g. Fire Engines come out to spray down bad landings, refueling trucks or even ground crew rearming the aircraft (even if they just stand around and move their arms about to look busy)

I hope they came to the conclusion that having a fancy website is more or less a time waster. As much as I dislike Facebook and Twitter, they are pretty much custom made for customers and future customers up to date.

I'd dare say that the western aircraft sell a lot more. Looking at the guides on Steam, the F-15C tutorial has double the amount of views as the Su-27 tutorial (although the F-15C tutorial has a few months head start).

F-117 has been retired for about 7 years now, so I wouldn't be surprised if they had enough information to create one for DCS.

Some of those screenshots could be mistaken for photos if are just scrolling through. Amazing!

Of course he isn't afraid of flying, it's probably his 5th or 6th flight :)

Squeeze away my friend, the buttons are very strudy :) (I have been pretty rough with mine for well over 3 years (long enough for some of the red paint to come off the trigger) and no sign trouble yet). I felt like a baby when I first got mine because of how much force the buttons required haha.

This would be most useful when in a new aircraft I guess. E.g. you want to bind the gear handle to a button on your joystick. Press ESC for the menu and select "Live Controls Assignment" Then you can click on any cockpit button and it will send you to the corresponding row of the current controls options screen. So you don't have fish through the 100's of rows trying to figure out if you are looking for "Gear Handle", or "Landing Gear" or "Aircraft Landing Gear" Ok so landing gear is a pretty simple example, but a lot of other controls aren't easy to find, when you aren't certain what they will be called. We've seen the F-5 external model parked at NTTR I thought in some screenshots or videos. Seems likley and cool :)

make sure you are getting at least 75fps :) (put all of your graphics settings to low/off and see if this helps - then start turning things up one at a time to see how far you can go without it jittering). Also making a new mission with only one aircraft (yours) helps too.

I would love it if someone could record the next stream and show some highlights so that people like me don't have to wake up 5am :P

For people like me with no workmanship skills or tools - 4 metal angle brackets in an S shape and you can do something similar for a few bucks. Of course it doesn't look as slick though!

I agree with the DooM trailer being underwhelming - but I thought the 20 minute gameplay videos were quite impressive. The section in hell being very old school DooM - similar colour palette and lots of strafing around monsters. QiinO9JPUGw
