  1. I agree, there doesn't seem to be much point having a bigger screen if you are sitting further away than normal. I'm currently about arms length minus the hand away from the monitor screen - so I imagine it would be similar in a jet (so that you can easily reach all of of the instruments from a strapped in position).
  2. You can never have enough load out options :) (even if it can kill your passengers lol)
  3. Hello, I'm curious to see if anyone might know the what size screen(s) to have in order to get the HUD and flight instruments at a size that is 1:1 as a real aircraft. I would also like to set the field of vision (zoom) to what is realistic. (for that screen size). With my current 1080p 23" screen I feel like I have to zoom in a fair bit to get a proper look at my instruments, but then i can only see a few at a time, and the amount of zoom feels very unnatural, meaning I am constantly zooming in and out in order to get correct amount of peripheral as well. Thanks!
  4. I guess the cool thing about PC's is that you can have a playlist of your own choosing playing in the background while you fly :)
  5. I have read on wikipedia that the Gazelle lacks a trimming system - is this true? and will that be part of your module? thanks :)
  6. Congrats and looking forward to these amazing choppers :)
  7. Of course it should be the one and only: Herb Alpert - Spanish Flea
  8. Why would you want to use these for DCS World, when you can use these for something as exciting as 3D spreadsheets!!!!! :D hahah oh dear. I think the canopy idea would work very well - but if you are already building a canopy that almost entirely surrounds you, it probably isn't much more work to hook up a projector or two and have it all done via rear projection. Then you would have a proper peripheral view for better situational awareness and you wouldn't have to even wear glasses at all (I dunno about anyone else, but I find wearing my glasses annoying (I'm short sighted)).
  9. Congrats again :) Also could you please make your facebook page public for those of us that don't have an account / don't want one. Thanks :D
  10. Now you just need to figure out how to transform a throttle into a collective in 3 or 4 easy clicks and in under 30 seconds and you'll have the most popular left handed sim product of the century :) well that and maybe a universal forcefeed back attachment.
  11. Warthog all the way if you already have a trackIR. If not, I think I'd be getting a CH stick and then getting a trackIR as well, and a really good set of rudder pedals since you fly helicopters. You just can't get the full DCS experience until you use a 6 DOF head tracker, and you saitek or CH pedals aren't accurate enough for choppers :) Going by this review I've heard Komodo Sim AT pedals are a way to go: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=142565 I'm eyeing them off myself actually! I play a lot, and while they are twice the cost of saitek/ch pedals, I figure I will get the value out of them over a 10 year period. If it makes flying enjoyable instead of fighting poor pedals.
  12. Nothing a bit of Pilates can't sort out haha!
  13. Site looks great, but I'm here to fly :)
  14. Thanks for posting this :) Truly amazing!
  15. Hi guys, I'm thinking about getting one of these, but have a few questions first. 1. Will the Gamtrix cushion fit into an Obutto Ozone seat? 2. How loud is it? Is it much louder than say typing or fans on a graphics card? 3. Is the Mig-21 supported? (and other 3rd party modules) 4. Will there be support for new modules in the future such as the F/A-18C or the Mi-24? 5. Is this device USB powered? Or does it require to be plugged into an electrical outlet? Thanks :)
  16. I'd get a delan clip. It's metal :) http://www.delanengineering.com/
  17. Hi Rich, I saw this on your facebook (sorry don't use facebook). Are these controls(cyclic and collective) something you make? They look amazing. So many buttons :) What helicopter is it from? Thanks
  18. I honestly think anything much more than the Logitech 3D Pro or Thrustmaster T.16000M is overkill for FC3 aircraft. If I had $200, I'd get a TrackIR and one of those sticks. The TrackIR makes a HUGE improvement to how DCS is played. (try driving with a car neck-brace times two) Also in my experience rudder pedals aren't that useful for jets - but they are great if you are flying ground attack aircraft so that you can aim your cannon and rockets more precisely. They are also great for helicopters. But for F-15/Su-27/Mig-29 you will be able to control very easily with a joystick twist rudder.
  19. I think there would be a lot of interest in selling these as a ready made product that you can attach to a desk. (or a kit with some tool-less assembly) I mean I bought an Obutto cockpit because I didn't have the tools, time, space and skills to make even an ugly version. I guess some people wouldn't want to permanently modify their desks, so it would be good to have clamping version too. I think it could save some relationships by having an easily removable and attachable set up haha :)
  20. I'd probably never get one unless I was going for a license but, I think it's a good idea to get more people into DCS - nobody should have to fly virtual aircraft in other flight sims that can't get their frame rates over 30fps.....
  21. I don't know about anyone else, but I'd like to know more about Wags and the team making DCS World. How you got to where you are etc. I always find it interesting to hear from people working in their dream jobs :)
  22. DCS World 3 confirmed LOL :) (end of Q&A session)
  23. I don't think it's real, it looks very fake to me. I don't believe the plane with the passengers ever left the ground.
  24. oh nice! VTOL would be a unique experience for certain!
