  2. By default, the bases selector is tuned to your starting base, you can contact it by using presets. The A/G button is used for VHF frequency, C/F for UHF. All the presets are in the kneeboard. Your flight's frequency is on the preset channel 1 (top row buttons). H button is for transmitting/receiving on guard frequency. There's also a possibility to monitor both selected and guard frequency, but this feature does not work (devs, hint :)). Other "special channels" in the same row, labeled 2 and no label can be set in mission editor. Button "-" is used for manual tuning. Other flights channels are located in the bottom row (buttons 1-9), used with the left knob (group selector). The presets are automaticaly generated and can be found in the kneepad. It does work. :) You either have easy comms turned on, or you messed with the radio selector knob, which will fry the radio (bug). :D
  3. MFG crosswind pedals have a feature that axis can act like a button, so you can assign W key to the toe brake axis. It's not a perfect solution, it will work as a keypress not axis, but it may work for you until the proper brake axis is enabled. I used to use it for Su-27 before it got proper brake axis recently. I think the option is disabled by default, you have to enable it in MFG crosswind configuration software.
  4. Maybe not related, but I had another crash during shutdown after a longer mission (cca 40min). It crashed when I shutoff the high pressure valve and tried to open the canopy (didn't exactly folow the proper procedure :music_whistling:). The master mode was still at NAV. DCS didn't create .crash file (neither did at previous crashes), so I'm including windows log instead, and DCS log. Hope it will help. dcs.zip
  5. Yesterday's update removed the huge stutter when loading terrain, that was introduced in the previous patch, so yeah it does feel much better.
  6. Maybe they end up in your junk folder :D.
  7. Fiddling with multiple installations, beta, alpha and whatnot, is not everyone's cup of tea, that' perfectly understandable. :) I'm sure you'll enjoy the Viggen once it hits 1.5 stable.
  8. It seemed like the takeoff is not going to end up well :D. Looks good, thanks for sharing!
  9. Could it be that only longer missions are affected? I've tried BER a few times today, but only after short missions, no crashes. When I had crashes it was always after longer missions (about 45min). And there's a similar report here.
  10. Thanks!
  11. Mission accomplished, heading back home.
  12. The difference between 1.5 stable and beta is much smaller than you seem to think. Unless there's a major gamebreaking bug found in beta update, the release version gets the same update a week or two later. Besides, it's very likely the Viggen will be released in 1.5 stable with the next update. As far as buying early access modules, that's really up to you. If you plan to buy it anyway, I see no reason to wait until the full release. If you're on the fence, or can't tolerate bugs and WIP, then yeah maybe you should wait for the full release. Viggen, only a weak after release, is a damn good module and great fun to fly. Sure there are bugs, the bug section has like 10 pages of reported bugs (and we'll sure find 10 pages more :D), but most of them are relative minor bugs, no true showstoppers so far. Anyway, how could you not want to buy a plane which has the Automatik Fart Kontroll? :D
  13. All switches/levers should have both on and off and on/off toggle. All rotary knobs should have CW/CCW keys.
  14. Viggen and A-10 nicely complement each other. You wouldn't wanna do a deep strike interdiction in the Hog, nor a CAS in Viggen, although Viggen can do some CAS in a pinch. Plenty of room for both planes.
  15. Thanks for the update, I really didn't expect 1.5 patch today. Nevada can wait for a while as far as I'm concerned. No sea there anyway. :D
  16. SiThSpAwN said last night that the Viggen probably won't make it in today's update. It's not in the changelog, so yeah, no Viggen today. I still kinda hope we'll get 1.5 update, but it's unlikely.
  17. Best update ever. :D
  18. Yes.
  19. I did have a few crashes after I finished a mission and parked, but I assumed it was just random CTD. The last time it crashed I messed with the master mode selector. I'll try to reproduce it and post the logs, I don't have any mods to uninstall. :D
  20. :megalol: Let's hope Viggen will make it to Nevada tomorrow, even without the sacrifice. :D
  21. Thank you!
  22. I've added the "Mission and Rejoin" command to the Engage menu. If you want to try it, replace Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\AJS37\Comm\comm.lua with the attached file. Backup the original first! comm.lua
  23. Thanks!
  24. You're right, it's only in air to air mode, my bad . I'll try it later.
