Yeah, I noticed :). At first the RWR may seem like an annoying beeper, but once you figure how it works it's a very good system. And you did a good job with the implementation.
One question: what is a difference between PRF A and B?
ELINT doesn't give you a pinpoint location, but a rectangular area in which the emission source is located. The coordinates you get are the two points of that rectangle, the NW and SE. The size of the rectangle is determined by the quality of your recording - if you approach from just one direction, the area will be pretty large, but if you go around it, you'll have a better triangulation and a much smaller area.
Absolutely. :)
BTW, this can be also useful during the flight, to decipher the RWR sounds. For example, if you hear 400Hz tone 1,5s long, with 8,5s pause in between, you can tell this is the Early Warning Radar.
Since we now have ELINT, I recon we should have a ELINT database too :D. Here is a preliminary version of raw data I've gathered so far. More to follow...

ELINT fail:
:D
I don't know if there is such a list or table, but you can easily make one for yourself :). All the data can be taken from the F10 map. There are not that much airfields on NTTR map, and most of the "new" ones don't have ATC nor nav aids (yet?). So it's probably no more that half a dozen airports. 5 minutes work, a bit more if you want it to look good. :D
F-14 3D model that is currently in DCS is rather old and not very flattering, to put it mildly :D. On the other hand, there's that great looking model created by LN.
I know that ED slowly updates all 3D models, but probably won't touch the Tomcat since the new model will come to DCS by the end of the year anyway.
I wonder, would it be possible that the current 3D model be replaced by the one made by LN, much sooner than the actual release?
It's a separate, independent install, pretty much the same size as stable release (38GB for me).
But updates will take advantage of the other versions installed, i.e. updater will copy some files from the other version if you've previously updated it.
+1
I didn't use beta before 1.5, but as soon as 1.5 came I installed the beta, which became the version in which I fly the most. I still have the stable version, but I haven't update it for months, it doesn't even have all my modules installed. Basicaly it's just sitting there, wasting SSD space. :D
This is truly an amazing feature!
Would it be possible to mark the radar positions (boxes) on F10 map, with the recently added markers? For player's planes and AI, after they land.
RagnarDa, can you give more details about the bandwidth selection? The manual describes different modes as sensitivity, but aren't the bands actualy radar frequency ranges?
