My wallet is at the ready. All carriers and tailhook aircraft are immediate purchases upon release.

What Would You Think About a Fully-developed CA Module?
Oubaas replied to rassy7's topic in DCS: Combined Arms
I'd buy modules for Combined Arms. I just recently got into it, after owning it for a long time. Decimating an airbase with an M1A2 Abrams is fun! And I haven't tried the other stuff yet. If you have it and haven't tried it yet, maybe you bought it on sale and forgot you had it, like me, give it a try! I saw a post with beautiful screens of a new ship recently as well. And if ED should decide to make a ship player controllable with weapons systems and navigation, I'd spend money on that, too. Just thought I'd mention it. -
And the correct Navy/Marine Corps medals.

I just trapped aboard Stennis in the Hornet and it got me to thinking. A few nice things for the logbook would be... 1. Cats 2. Traps 3. Bolters 4. FCLP/Field Arrest 5. Day/Night landing differentiation. 6. Navy ranks, i.e., Ensign, Lieutenant Junior Grade, Lieutenant, Lieutenant Commander, Commander, Captain, Commodore, Rear Admiral, Vice Admiral, Admiral, Fleet Admiral And anything else associated with Naval Aviation and Naval Aviator logbooks. It's been a long time since I looked at a "Yellow Sheet" now that I'm old and retired, but there's the list off the top of my head. Do they even still use Yellow Sheets? Thank you for your consideration. Oubaas :pilotfly:

I'm very much looking forward to the Yak-52, and this report increases my anticipation. This is going to be quite an airplane lover's module. Thanks for the information!

What would you expect from a carrier modul by ED?
Oubaas replied to RED's topic in DCS Core Wish List
We need an AI plane guard, and the "Angel" should work properly. An SH-60B or later would work in that role, though what I'd really like is an SH-3G, just for old time's sake. Carrier ops with no plane guard would seem incomplete. And maybe a C-2A. Somebody has to fly those spares aboard. The ability to rig the barrier would be nice. Working elevators and a hangar deck? -
Beautiful work, Dev Team! I've got everything installed, Caucasus, NTTR, Normandy, all my modules. It's a whole new world and everything works great and looks amazing. You've created a masterpiece!

I'm very much looking forward to the Yak-52. I hope it comes with skins for the Romanian aerobatics team that flies the Yak-52, or that someone will paint them shortly.
-
Well, what the heck, I'll jump in and be one of, "us", LOL! :D I'd go for the Su-30 subset, in fact all of the Sukhoi products, but I'd add another one, the Su-24M and/or other variants of the Su-24. And maybe even an Su-15. The Typhoon and the Tornado would both be nice to have as well. And I'd really love an English Electric Lightning or a Hawker Hunter. And last, but not least, on the WW2 end of things, I'd whip out my wallet instantly for a flyable C-47! :pilotfly:
-
True.
-
We need military gliders for the Normandy scenery. And troop transport missions. Think of it, no engines, almost no systems, rig them to be towed by a C-47. And as long as you're at it, throw in an ASG-29, a light civil tow plane, and some excellent thermals.

Well, if they ever do it, I'll be dancing on their virtual doorstep, wallet in hand, ready to buy it the instant that it's released. :pilotfly:

I think we should pay for the new CAUCASUS????
Oubaas replied to Psicodreamics's topic in DCS: Caucasus
The Caucuses map should definitely be free, but I will admit that if they offered extensions to complete the rest of Russia in its entirety, I'd buy them, especially if they integrated seamlessly and I didn't have to load a new mission to get to the next section. I want to fly non-stop from Cape Dezhnev to Lavry. Get the tankers airborne. :pilotfly: -
Put it in manual reversion mode and the computer will stop preventing you from commanding enough negative Gs to make you come back for debrief with raccoon eyes. :D
-
Once they've completed every aircraft that the U. S. Navy has ever flown, they have to start on the Marine Corps stuff that wasn't included in the Navy inventory. After that, they may have time for more mundane things. :D
-
The Viggen. But do pick up the Gazelle later on.

I think we should pay for the new CAUCASUS????
Oubaas replied to Psicodreamics's topic in DCS: Caucasus
Yep, sure seems like it to me. After paying $50 to $60 a pop for most of the modules, more money for Nevada, and probably more eventually for Normandy, they're already trodding along the edge of a precipice. If this gets any more expensive than it is already, my interest is going to start waning, severely. I sure hope you don't have a urinalysis coming up at work anytime soon. -
Next up after the Tomcat is "DCS: Vought XF5U Flying Flapjack".
-
Excellent! I had been daydreaming about a 202 in DCS, and here's a 205 in work. Even better!
-
We need liveries for those guys when the Yak-52 comes out. And speaking of Romania, we need the I.A.R. 80/81 for the World War II part of DCS.
-
I'm retired from real life military aviation. :pilotfly:
-
Yeah, I'm actually sort of looking forward to it. I'm mostly interested in combat aircraft, but I love all airplanes, so I'll buy whatever anybody offers, so long as they seem prepared to stick around and support the product. In this case, the Yak-52 is coming from ED, so I'll definitely buy it.
-
The lack of focus is concerning. There needs to be an effort to keep things focused on appropriate aircraft for theaters and as opponents. DCS is becoming an unfocused airplane sandbox. I'm surprised that ED doesn't restrict what can be developed in order to see that it is in line with the overall picture. But, I'll take what's available when it's released. I love all aircraft, so I'll just keep buying and flying what they give us, whatever it is. Look on the bright side: if you're really bothered by stuff that gets released, you can use them for gunnery practice. :D

I wouldn't mind seeing the Italian MC.200 and MC.202 added to the flyable aircraft, especially the MC.202 with the Daimler-Benz powerplant. That's a nice airplane and pleasant to fly. Anyone else concur? :pilotfly:

What I want is an option to call the boat and have them rig the barricade, like I lost my hook point in blue water or something.
