  1. To give more context to the frequency problem in the presets. It wasn’t rewriting the frequencies it was just showing the manual frequency all the time. That was with SRS. So we had a manual frequency of 118.500 and changed to preset 4 on Comm 1. Preset 4 was 235.650 but it showed 118.500 but we were still transmitting on 235.650. So it’s just the display of the frequency that was wrong. Again that was using SRS.
  2. I’d you enjoy the M2K in dogfighting then you’ll love the Hornet. It’s in a more polished state than the M2K is right now. And I like the M2K. The missile lock doesn’t drop unless you roll too much. But that’s normal as the radar has to move.
  3. So the reasons the coordinates are changing is because you enter them I a hour minute second format but the computer changes it to an hour minute decimal format. It’s the right coordinates just in a different format.
  4. That light isn’t as bright as you think it is.
  5. I really enjoyed the Maple Flag missions I highly recommend them. If you don’t want to do the basic on and just get to bombing stuff then skip it. OPF is really good, anything from Baltic Dragon has been fabulous so get that one. I liked Red Flag but it’s not as good as OPF and TEW.
  6. There is also a an exceptable variance on the displays. Like N2 is usually +-1
  7. Awesome! Wags I really appreciate the quick responses on my questions. Thank you as always.
  8. So when you have SIM boxed on the stores page shouldn’t I still get the SHOOT cue in the HUD? I was pretty sure that it is supposed to be there. But I could obviously be wrong in my interpretation. Thanks as always.
  9. Okay I wasn’t sure or not. It just dawned on me and I haven’t had a chance to check. Thank you for the answer
  10. So the Hornet has a physical flight idle when it’s weight off wheels. I don’t know if it is modeled in the game. If it isn’t that might be why the jet drops like a stone when your getting dirty. Can someone confirm if the flight idle stop is modeled?
  11. That’s correct. Wags said that it’s been implemented internally but right now we don’t have that in beta.
  12. That’s awesome! Thanks for that info Wags. I am loving this jet.
  13. I’m actually just going to use the cookie hat and use the nub as my ATC button. More realistic to the real grip. But I do agree it should be an option for others if they want to use t that way.
  14. Okay it’s awesome we have the moving map, but I can’t turn it off. With the moving map on the MAP option should be boxed and it isn’t. When unboxed there should be no moving map. Is this a bug or was is it not implemented yet?
  15. With the UFC it takes about two seconds or so for the colon to show up. Give it Time and it should come on. Getting it to turn off that’s a different problem I’m having. The only way for me to disengage it is by paddle switch or yanking it out of parameters.
  16. Also Moderators can this be moved out of the wishlist? This isn’t a wishlist item just a question with how our Hornet is modeled?
  17. So the NATOPS states that with OFP 13C the aural tone that the GPWS gives us when the configuration check is ROLL OUT ROLL OUT. But what we have is in OFP 15C, the ROLL LEFT ROLL LEFT. So my question would be is this due to Boeing giving Betty to ED and that is just what is used now? If that’s the case then I’m way okay with that. I prefer the ROLL LEFT anyway as that was the Betty I had when I was in.
  18. So NeoFighter was a 18 pilot until about 2000. The manual that your using is from 2008. I can tell you that there were tons of changes during those years. It is quite possible that in earlier hornets the speedbrake worked exactly how Neo states. I’m inclined to believe him actually due to the fact that I got a question wrong about how to get MMP codes from the NWDDi on my PC test that was no longer a procedure due to a Pub change in the PCM. It happens. As for Betty, I had one jet when I was at 97 that had the old voice. It was weird every time I did a LPT on it. But the rest had the new Betty.
  19. Also the brightness knob needs to work. The map is way too bright for me in VR.
  20. The Manual states that ICLS isn’t functional at this time. And for the Hornet ICLS and ILS are interchanable. Also be aware that since the Hornet has ICLS that it is not compatible with ILS stations at land based airports. The best you’ll be able to do is Tacan approaches.
  21. This will not work. It shows up in the modules ready to install but you need the update first.
  22. Is that not what the changelog is supposed to tell us BigNewy, that the update is ready and what’s in it? If not then why release it before the update is ready. Doesn’t make sense in my head.
  23. $80 isn’t pre purchase price
  24. Another thing for people to use during their cockpit inspection before start up is cockpit switchology. For the Hornet it was really simple: NO ASS. This works for almost all switches in the cockpit so let me explain. N-Normal O-Off A-Auto S-Safety S-Standby Every plane captain was taught NO ASS when I was active and it works so well. Switches should be in normal, if no normal than move it to off, if no off than auto and on and on. This doesn’t work for some switches such as Anti-skid, hook bypass, launch bar but you get the idea. Happy Hornet Eve everyone!
  25. This needs to happen. With the Hornet arriving on Wednesday it would be amazing to have a Red Flag with F-15’s, A-10’s, Flankers, Mirages, Tigers, and Hornets! Oh it’d be so much fun.
