Also it sounds like you’re also hitting wake turbulence coming off the Tanker. I would think that it wouldn’t be that dramatic, but I’m not a pilot so I don’t really know.

Raven One: upcoming DLC campaign for F/A-18 Hornet
AMEDooley replied to baltic_dragon's topic in Missions and Campaigns
with the addition of the cheek station TGP adaptor, will this help move the campaign before the ATFLIR is out? -
My argument is NOT that I want it to be free or that it should be free. I bought the damn thing, and gladly did it. My argument is that if it is a module as you are claiming it to be, then it should behave like every other module. In this case we are talking about placing it in the ME just like we can with any other module. You’re asking people to jump through hoops for a module, that isn’t required for any of the other ones. Asking someone to do what I can do for every other module is a bit ridiculous honestly. They can’t use it unless they own it, so I don’t understand this decision. It doesn’t make any sense. And if you just going to say it’s an Asset Pack, then call it that. But then you run into the same problem, asset packs do not function consistently. I’m glad you made it so that MP servers can have owners and non-owners participate. That was a very smart decision. This issue is also a no brainer, keep it consistent with the other modules and allow it to be placable in the ME.

Your mission testing is actually not a very valid point. I know mission designers that don’t own every module but use them in their missions. They simply fly other jets that they do have to make sure it works as intended. I don’t need to own a module to test a mission. I just need to place it in the mission and watch the AI do the work. And then change what isn’t working. I don’t own any helo stuff except the Huey, but I can see that they work in mission that I place them in. No one is asking for the SC to be different than any other module. In fact all they’re asking for is that is like all the other modules. I don’t think that’s too much to ask for honestly. That way there is consistency, and mission designers know what to expect with upcoming modules.

Turn off your MFUZ. It will not work with MFUZ on. As to you’re distance problem, I have seen some issues with the laser being noticed with LMavs. Not sure if your experiencing the same issue. What does the TGP say after you pull the trigger?
-
Sorry nineline but I have to disagree. I know a lot of my squad mates don’t fly the Hornet or other naval aircraft and have no interest in buying the SC. But they do want to build missions that include naval flying ops for those in the squadron who do fly it. And I know we aren’t the only vFG that operates in this manner. I get it that MP isn’t the end all and be all, and that your stats show more SP than MP. But don’t forget that MP is a good portion of your user base. This is not an asset pack, this is a module according to your own advertising, just like the Hornet, M2K, or Viper. We can place those in missions with out owning them, this should be no different. I have no interest in the Viper, but I do want to include it for those in my squadron that do. It’s a valid argument, one you don’t like, but it is valid. Just for clarification, I bought the SC.

So my question is about the ability for mission designers to place in the Super Carrier in their missions. Will they be able to with out purchasing the module, just like with the other modules? Silly question but something a squad mate had asked.

You can’t transfer target info from the TPOD yet if memory serves. That’ll be later in EA

Dean I think you’re missing Dragons point. He said he does that and it still doesn’t work. I’ve had this same problem on occasion. It’s really weird, and for what ever reason it’s completely random if it happens or not. Take off, land, take off again (making sure that trim is set properly) and the jet goes heavy nose up. No amount of trim helps. It happens on the Carrier for me, with only one time happening on the beach.
-
I doubt it as you would have to redo the model. The islands are different on those two, but they’re slightly bigger as well. I never was on the Ford but I’ve been on the Reagan a time or two.
-
It would fit in perfectly with the Tarawa. It has a BRC all the pertinent info would still work. Obviously no need for the LSO stuff but the rest would translate well.

Sorry but not knowing what the discount for the Hornet owners is a bit ridiculous since we already know the pre order discount. Those should have been decided together since the company stated long ago that Hornet owners will get a discount. Honestly the discount should be the same, if not more. Then you will get more people to buy the Hornet and the super carrier. Makes the most business sense in my opinion.
-
Deck lightings not really a thing. It’s dark for a reason. And yes it’s super dark on a carrier at night time.

I love the BFT, AFT, and MQT training campaigns. They are really good. I highly recommend them after you’ve gotten the basics down. They will make you a better pilot. And give you good training on the systems of the AC. Sabre did a great job on them.
-
Can we get training 120’s. It looks really weird to have a CAP and a live 120 on the jet at the same time. IRL we had training 120’s on the wing tips and I would like to recreate that as much as possible. Plus you could use them on other A/C. Thanks

I was in SP doing the DLC BFM Campaign. It happened every time I lowered the launch bar. The nose would raise and you could see the nose strut extend in the F2 view. I was also in VR.
-
So this is a strange one for sure, but when you lower the launch bar it causes the nose to come up. This wouldn’t happen in RL. The launch bar does not have enough power to lift the Jet up. I’m not sure which update this started happening. The launch bar just rests on the ground.

[REPORTED] High-quality A-10C cockpit switch logic
AMEDooley replied to Redglyph's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
This is for everyone that wants a new cockpit look. Cockpits look new for about a month. That’s it. My jet arrived from the LM factory two weeks ago and it’s all ready getting weathered. New doesn’t last long, especially the leg wells. Just saying for everyone’s info. -
FA-18C Aggressors BFM Campaign
AMEDooley replied to Sabre-TLA's topic in F/A-18C Aggressors BFM Campaign
Hey Sabre, any thought in replacing the F-14 and F-16 in campaign with the Heatblur and ED versions. That way we’re fighting the new awesome modules instead of the old ones? -
Got to make sure that the right color of wands are given to the right people.
-
Latent Track While Scan. It requires you to designate the target twice to get a hard lock to fire a missile. It’s useful so you can get more information about what that contact is doing while still seeing other contacts.
-
I got nothing as far as tracking numbers so... hopefully soon!
-
The Hornet was never designed to carry the LAU for a 120 on the wingtip. Plus the added weight on the 16 cause many wing cracking issues.

The 476th has a checklist based off the NFM-500. Check out their download section

Ginsu don’t worry about being exactly at the points described. If you’re doing an overhead break, that means you are in VFR. As long as you can see the places you can deviate a bit. Just worry about hitting the correct numbers: 1500 AGL, Pull 1% of speed in G (350KNT=3.5G pull) get to the 45 on the down wind, turn and drop altitude. The rest will just kind of take care of itself.
