  1. Not a lot fortunately. Mostly how to use it and some features. But the real question is how much of it will we be getting. Some of the pavers are redacted.
  2. I just got this running correctly today. So far it’s been really nice to get this implemented into my flying. I fly exclusively in VR so this will make things very nice.
  3. How do I change the DCS path. I ran it in debug mode and it seems like the DCS file path is incorrect.
  4. Thanks to all that applied. As of right now we have all the application slots filled and recruiting is currently closed. We will be open recruiting once this class has completed training. Thanks again!
  5. Still have a few more slots available.
  6. The 476th has opened recruiting for F/A-18C pilots. All interested pilots should review the our recruiting page link is at the bottom. Of note, for our initial batch of Hornet recruits we are looking for pilots who can help us in development of Hornet Mission Qualification Training (MQT) as well as Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs). Especially Air-to-Air combat and Naval operations (which will likely be part of continuation training within the 510th vFS). The following is an overview of our recruitment process. If you have questions, please feel free to ask. We will post any updates to this recruiting period on our forum page. Step 1 - Submit an application. We will review them as they come in. Once our quota of applications is reached, it will automatically be closed. Historically the application window is usually open for about a week. Step 2 - Once we have reviewed all the applications, those that make it to the next step will get a private message (PM) inviting them for an interview on our Discord server. Step 3 - Please join us in Discord during this first week to get to know the pilots of the 476th and for us to get to know you. Ask questions, tell jokes, etc. As a part of this intro week, we will try to host a couple flight nights where recruits and 476th pilots can fly together around NTTR and continue to get to know each other. Step 4 - During the second week, recruits will go through an interview and observation flight. The interview is simply a chance to make sure we are a good fit for you and vice versa. Its also a great time to ask questions. Assuming the interview goes well (they generally always do at this point), we will schedule a quick flight were can can verify recruits can fly TACAN approach and refuel off a tanker. Step 5 - After the two week period of intro and interviews/flights, those pilots accepted will get another PM from the 476th. **Unfortunately, not everyone who applies will be accepted. While we would love to accept everyone, we simply don't have the training capacity to do so. Our training process takes a lot of time and effort by our current pilots and we are limited on how many folks we can accept at one time. http://www.476vfightergroup.com/content.php?144-Recruitingmain
  7. I was getting the same thing before the last update. I was able to run MSAAx4and PD of 2.5 at the same FPS with MSAA off and 1.5 PD. But since the last update I’ve come up empty handed. My system is fairly good. The worst part of my system is the Motherboard witch is an i-5 not an i7 but I have an Nvidia 1080ti with 32 GB of RAM. I’m not on my computer right now so I don’t know the exact numbers off the top of my head. But I’m also willing to accept that it was all just a placebo affect.
  8. Actually someone pointed out was that this mod only works if the GPU is what is causing the problems. Not sure that’s what my problem is. So I could just be the MODs doesn’t really work for me as my GPU isn’t the problem. I’m just inclined to go with out it for now. Hopefully ED releases Vulcan at some point.
  9. I’ve installed the mod. I’ve done everything you said. What I’m trying to say is that the mod no longer working after the last update, which I find difficult to believe as others are able to get this to work. Now I can tell the mod is installed as on my computer screen I can see the rounded edges from the mod that aren’t there normally. However I am getting no increase in performance. I’m only getting 23-29 FPS just as I was when I don’t have the mod installed.
  10. So I’ve tried everything that everyone suggested but I still cannot get this to work. I know the Mods installed. But I do not see any proformance increase in anyway. I will always concede that I’m probably doing it wrong but I can’t get it to work. Now I’ve been trying to do it via OvGME but no joy. I’m going to try and manually do it and see if o get a difference.
  11. The 476th is about to open recruitment for the F-18 any day now. You should check out our website. http://www.476vfightergroup.com/content.php

    An Idea

OnlyforDCD I hate to tell you this but the stable branch isn’t stable. Especially in multiplayer. So if ED’s thought is to update the stable branch before the code is actually stable that will be problematic. I get that we need to update the game to add content like the Hornet but there are people that want no part of beta testing or Early Access. They want a finished, relatively, big free game. And I believe this road map will not provide that.

    An Idea

So here’s my idea, based off of the thread about how updates are going to go. I don’t think the plan of updating the beta one week and then the stable the next week is a good idea. For one, it doesn’t make sense to do that. What will happen is there will be bugs with the beta patch, they’ll need to get fixed before you update the stable. The better plan would be to get the beta far more stable before you update the stable. If that takes a month or longer than it does. But then you make sure that the stable branch is, well, stable. If not then you’ll get far too many people who didn’t sign up to be beta testers complaining that they’re beta testers. And their point would be very valid. So update the beta as often as needed, and update the stable only once you’ve got the majority of the bugs taken care of. And then add to beta new features, rinse, repeat.
  14. So in case anyone is wondering, the warping is still prevalent in MP. It get worse the longer the server is up. My wingman crashed into me tonight as we were at the tanker. It makes things quite difficult to get good training with these problems.
  15. Okay I’ll try that and see if I get a better result
  16. Anyone else having issues with the mod after the latest update. I’m getting the old performance before the mod with it installed. Not sure what I did.
  17. Cause you could blow up
  18. The paddle switch will also disengage the autopilot. That’s why the caution comes up.
  19. The inlet ice is a bug. You should see what is wrong on the ddi. You don’t need to switch pages it’ll be the words down at the bottom of the left ddi. U less it’s off then it would be the right ddi depending on the page you have up.
  20. Buy an extension and you shouldn’t need any curves at all
  21. I want to say yes it does but my Memory isn’t what it used to be.
  22. It does change the pitch of the plane if you land with no flaps. The angle is not correct and you’re too fast. To achieve the right angle to trap, in real life not the game, you have to use flaps to slow you down to the correct speed. Trust me, having done some LSO missions with the Stingers you learn really fast when someone’s not configured correctly. There’s a reason why Flaps to full is part of the landing checklist.
  23. The SJU-17 is a 0-600 knot and at an altitude 0-50,000 ft ejection seat. I worked on these for seven years. Well mostly I worked the SJU-5 which was the predecessor to the NACES but I did work on a few of those as well at 125. It’s not the seat that can’t function. But the human body can only take so much. But it is survivable, you just won’t be having a good day if you do.
  24. To give more context the radio isn’t overwriting the frequency, only what’s in the scratch pad window. At least when using SRS.
  25. You should never be in full flaps for take off. Take off flap position is Half as per NATOPS. On landing you should be using Full flaps. Again per NATOPS.
