  1. A Growler is not a legacy Hornet. If my memory servers, Super Hornets, which the Growler is just a variant of, have ILS. However legacy Hornets, outside of the Blue Angles which almost never landed on the boat due to the high trap times, did not have ILS. This Hornet we have is modeled off of a USN mid 2000’s legacy Hornet. Sorry bud, your reference is just bad at best.
  2. I’ve had this problem on occasion. Not sure what causes it. It was after I landed on the Carrier and tried to take back off. Outside of that I was fine.
  3. Or just try to find the NFM-500 which is the pilots pocket checklist. Also if you download the 476th F/A-18 checklist it is based off of the NFM-500. http://www.476vfightergroup.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=493

    Navy HiVis

So are we going to get Navy HiVis planes. Right now all the HiVis is just on the Marine Squadrons.
  5. It’s happened and their stuff is proprietary. It’s their way of giving you an opportunity to stop.
  6. So true story, if you think adding the “v” is a bit of a nitpick, wait until the actual military group sends you a cease and desist order for copyright infringement. It’s not pretty. Adding the “v” actually does help you with that. The OP is trying to help people. If you don’t want to take his advice don’t. But if you get a C&D, you’ll have to do what he is saying anyway.
  7. Makes sense, you would want the HARM to self destruct so no enemies could reverse engineer the thing.
  8. It’s something like 800ft at 3/4 of a mile if memory serves
  9. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=233572 Here’s the fix
  10. You need to wait longer between testing the fire loops. The tapes need to rewind. This would happen on the real thing too.
  11. This happens anytime you are between 19,800 and 20,000 ish feet. Just go above or below and you’ll be fine.
  12. What is the optimum speed for the hornet for AAR? With the KC-135 now being usable we can finally refuel at a higher speed. I’m just wondering what the best speed is.
  13. Already made sure of all that. everyone is on the same freq. Hence why I get the VO to work. Zarma I took the Campaign that Baltic Dragon made for the Mirage. The one that comes with the module, in the Cucuses
  14. So I took the M2K campaign and converted it with the permission of Baltic Dragon. However, I am having some issues with the JTAC in the last mission. I cannot get him to answer through the menu. I know I’m on the right frequency as the VO’s do come on. So I’m not sure what is going on. Any advice would me most welcome.
  15. Mission 13 JTAC Is anyone having issues with the JTAC not answering? I’m on the right frequency and I get the VO but I do not get any answer from the menu.
  16. I haven’t tried with a different button being the TDC depress but I only bind the keys through DCS. I have no issues with the radar just the MAV. I don’t mind if they keep it the way it is as long as I can move the cursor. It’s just very strange behavior
  17. I don’t use Target at all. But it sounds like I am the only one having this issue. As far as dead zones, I don’t use any. I do have the saturation sett slightly differently.
  18. Slew AGM-65F So I’m having the issue with slewing the IR Mavs. I hit the TDC Depress and can move it to the right and down, but for some unknown reason, I can get it to move up and to the left. Anyone else having this issue? I have a TM Warthog and I use the TDC that’s on the throttle. I have no issues with the radar cursor. I have only tried it once but I thought I’d ask if anyone else is having this same issue.
  19. Or you can’t carry that munition on the centerline. Just saying
  20. So I’m not sure if this just on the hornet or if this is a big problem for all planes but I cannot tell my wingman to go to the tanker. It does not show up in the comm menu. Does anyone know if this is a problem or am I just missing the place it is at?
  21. Former F-18 AME here, the F-18’s that I worked on had self sealing tanks.

    Bronze Star

It’s hours in the sim. I think 10 is the first and then 25?
  23. Really, I’ve been getting the carrot and the half circles
  24. Yes it is implemented. BIT stand for built in test. So the BIT, or wipeout as it is called, is a test of the FBW system of the hornet. In our Hornet it is faster than what I remember and the controls don’t move in the same fashion. However I say that with the caveat that I worked Lot10-12 mostly with few higher Lots the last few years I was in.
