  1. Hello is it possible to have the conversion of units done seamlessly whilst in a server or singleplayer if using multiple aircraft from different nations? The reasons is because fuel requirements, weapon loads, navigation and weight systems for aircraft are easier to calculate depending on their units. For example the fuel for Mi24 Hind and Mi 8 are fuel load is in kg or litres and distance is in kilometres whereas the US units are in gals or lbs of fuel. For the rearm and refuel and ruler measurement on the F10 map view it would be a great Quality of Life change instead of exiting the server changing it in the menu game options.
  2. MEI CFI from Aussieland here, your best bet is not to rush anything like that. Standard procedure for a failure in multiengine is to throw all engine controls forward, Mixture, pitch and Power, gear up, flap up - in this exact order so as to not break engines. When the power comes on the aircraft will swing and thats when you apply rudder to centre the yaw ball or turn coordinator. Whatever leg is doing nothing that is your failed engine - "DEAD LEG, DEAD ENGINE". Even the most woeful underpowered civvie aircraft will maintain height under normal conditions let alone the power of a merlin and the mozzie being made out of wood is even better. So you should have plenty of time to get the aircraft trimmed and work out, what to pull and what not to pull. Youre dead right in regard to your scenario - many a civil pilot and probably military pilots with early twins have rolled and spun to their death cause of mishandling of a failure. Any number of NTSB reports and the pattern is the same, pilot loses engine, mishandles it, becomes low airspeed high power - typically a go around or take off scenario, cartwheels and crashes. Sometimes the case the engine was perfectly fine and it was starved of fuel or the mixture was too lean.
  3. Sadly, the navigator cannot even navigate on multiplayer servers only singleplayer or when hosting the mission. The cockpit is not synced between the pilot and navigator and the DF beacons do not work when a dedicated server puts down beacons to follow. So even local play wont work, unless everyone wants to follow the leader which is a single mosquito who is also the host
  4. Specs On DCS since the addition to new clouds - I have been getting the most irritating frequent stutters to a total freeze then back to 45 average in MP servers and singleplayer, all aircraft either high or low altitude. I have optimised to death with all the SSAO, SSL, AA to off. Muddled with the textures and slider bars to the point where the taxiway signs on airports are like trying to read with glaucoma. I have deep dived into nvidia control panel, I run game booster programs which unload RAM and disable useless programs. I have windows on SSD 500gb and 1tb SSD for DCS and video and music on a HDD. Besides an upgrade (Im aiming for a cpu change to 10th gen i9 which will require a MOBO change), am I missing here before i burn money?

  6. A10 shakes like the MiG21 now. Is this new? wasnt mentioned in change log
  7. ED, What is the point of these modes and the HAD if your HARMS do not follow the logic of targeting separate sensors. EOM search field is supposed to be a narrow FOV and the POS PB is a wide FOV. I separated via steerpoints with one scenario and another with the HAD system. they all tracked the same SA6 regardless of others being separated by more than 10nm
  8. Hello ED, Is it possible for convenience to have the ability to change the unit type metric/imperial whilst in a server due to multiple aircraft uses in one play session - save the loading times of exiting in and out of server. It is really helpful for realistic servers which have no F10 or aircraft with basic navigation devices
  9. Sorry, can you explain that? Does that mean I'll have to unload 25 percent intervals?
  10. Mosquito won't allow unloading of fuel below 42%. If you try to load less than 42% it hangs for eternity and prevents the pilot from moving. The refuelling sound constantly loops
  11. I have this issue as well - I when I tried to unload fuel below 42% it just hangs for eternity.
  12. @BIGNEWYIf there was an open source document that described it would that be enough to bring it back
  13. I had similar type of crash. GBU16, manual code of 1622, adjusted waypoint via HSI and did WPDSG. Set to auto mode, set to DLY1 on multiplayer in Syria map. Watched the bomb fall line come down press and held weapon release. immediate crash.
  14. Hello, Request that the volume controls for both the pilot and RIO radios to have axis bind available.
  15. Took the Thunderbolt for a long distance flight - now that it has drop tanks. As per the manual you have to take off on Main, then externals and then use the AUX until near empty then back to main. When I used my belly tank up I transfered to Main tank to prevent the engine from starving of fuel. When I jettisoned my belly tank - I then tried using the left wing tank with the Rheostat pump set to full. It starved the engine, When I tried switching back to main then selected the right drop tank, then back to external the engine died again. I believe the issue is the jettison code believes that if one tank is jettison then all of them are gone - even though visually they are there. Looking at the P47D 25 to 35 variant manual it states that you should be able to selective jettison the belly and use the wing tanks.
  16. Yup you are correct the sounds are from a GSH30. It is the case for both the D30 Early and D40.
  17. The axis nor the keybindings for the volume control in RIO pit are responding. I can get the forward radio to respond to keybinding INC DECRE but neither of the axis respond to my VIRPIL CM50 throttle axes and the rear radio does not respond to keybinding or axis.

Does anyone know a work around?

  20. Wing Load If you are doing quick missions or you know how to use the mission editor, use less than half fuel setting or even 30 %. The P51 wing tanks are far too big and will decrease performance. You will recognize a difference in the amount of snap rolls occuring.
  21. Done this no luck. Also now this crashing is happening to multiple games.
  22. Hello, I recently upgraded my computer and have reinstalled DCS solely on the SSD. Now I am getting instant crashes to desktop with any aircraft, any map within seconds of hitting the fly button. Log files are attached. dcs.log-20190417-111112.rar
  23. For us Australian peasants in a different timezone. What time GMT/UTC/Zulu will the F-14 release?
  24. I need that airbrake toggle back, I do not have enough buttons or profiler mods to operate it cleanly. Not everyone can blow 600AUD on a thrustmaster warthog. You now have six separate airbrake controls. It shouldnt be a guessing game when opening the airbrake for the F-86.
  25. I can confirm the loss of engine sound whilst outside the aircraft. When you see the info bar at the bottom it also says 0% RPM which is what the sound coding follows
