SweetFX 1.5.1: Nvidia card Compatable!
blackbelter replied to Rise Tragedy's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Hi, I've got a question: what are the improvements of Sweetfx 1.5.1 over the old versions? I have been using PeterP's sweetfx mod, and am perfectly happy with it. I wonder if there is something appealing in the new version (1.5.1)... Thanks. -
It's even worse if you run 1.2.6 trk file in 1.2.7. I tried for a few times. Apparently the reactions of AIs under the same conditions are different in the two DCS versions. I find myself, instead of shootng at the AI, shot at nothing. The AI, on the other hand, performs much more effective maneuvers than in 1.2.6, and easily blows me up from my back.

Possible to import original Lock On campaigns?
blackbelter replied to Roosterfeet's topic in DCS: Flaming Cliffs
One of the st*pid things that ED did was to ruin great missions and campaigns in each and every major update. Wasting the time and effort of builders, and killing the online community along the way. -
Virtual reality now: less virtual - more real
blackbelter replied to zahry's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Looks awesome. But the price tag is... Have to give lottery another try... :( -
For the few weeks that I used my 6-year-old X52 with FC3, it worked flawlessly... Hold the button until the missile is launched. For axis controls, maybe you need to check the curvature settings? Or maybe you had too much oil in the tank and/or other payloads? Or maybe you are moving too fast through air? That I am not sure...

Source of the sound found. Sorry, my bad.

Is this a new feature? When I heard for the first time a high-pitched sound, very much like that made by a bird, I thought it was some external sound. Then I heard it again in another mission. The two sounds were the same as far as I could tell. Is this a new feature that I just discovered? I don't recall reading about it anywhere... Even if it is a new feature, it is not implemented rightly... It is hard to imagine one being able to hear a bird making such a loud/clear sound amid all the noise made by the engine. So what is it?

I have been experiencing various issues, including flickering frames, green line-shaped artifacts, and applications-crashings, roughly from the time when I updated the driver to 334.89. I wonder if I am alone here. I will revert back to the previous version of geforce driver. Will report back if things change.

I thought with the new customer-rewarding system, people do not need to wait for sales anymore... There are various ways of (legally) taking advantage of the system. Use your creativity...

A compensation for their stupidity in other aspects, I assume... :D AI = Stupidity + Supernatural Capabilities Intelligence still wins, most of the times at least...

Please Provide The DCS Applications Of Chinese Version
blackbelter replied to loo_ohs's topic in DCS Wishlist
It will be great, for both the community of Chinese players and ED. Looking forward to it... (Assuming we are gonna get an affirmative answer from the ED team.) -
Well, apparently your current is different from our current... I remember seeing in Ironhand's tutorial that that was the case in Lock on. I didn't try it then, and things have changed.

I am not sure if this is the same thing as the 'jumpy' thing that OP is talking about. But for example, when Su-27 is below the minimum speed, it is uncontrollable. Usually I will let it dive for a bit for speed. At certain speed, it SUDDENLY revives, and becomes very controllable again. I feel the absence of the speed range in which the aircraft is somehow between absolutely incontrollable and very controllable. I guess this is a consequence of the SFM underneath, in which case things will change when AFM is released. But I could be wrong.
-
Thanks! In one drink? Maybe in my dream... But I will keep doing it. Hopefully will be able to do that in one go soon. I would think so too, due to the AFM of A10-C. I have been wondering what it would be like to refuel a Su-33 with a realistic AFM... I have been using the J key... at least for now. It is controls the speed very accurately. It enables me to focus on maintaining a stable connection. When I am able to refuel in full in one go, I will try to do so without the J key. That won't be so soon, I think... Thanks guys.

Filled the tank of Su-33 in full for the first time EVER! What a feeling... :(

Good marketing strategy. Now we need to spread the words around...

My wife will be happy to hear this, because I won't be occupying the TV all the time, and she can watch all the soap opera she wants... Once I lay hands on an Oculus Rift, that is :D Thanks for the update!

Difference between TV or Monitor for playing
blackbelter replied to rajdary's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I have been running DCS on a 42 inch full HD TV... IMO, if you are going to stick to 1080P, do not go for more than 46 inch... or else you will either see some very grainy picture, or will be too far away from the screen. 4K TV is another story, which I have no experience... Next time when I upgrade the display, I hope some personal 3D viewer, such as the one produced by sony or Oculus Rift, will be mature enough and more cost-effective... -
IMHO it does make sense to model the ocean floor when the first DCS: submarine module is added. Care to make a guess how far that will be into the future? :D The good news is by then computing power available to us average gamers will probably be sufficient to model half of the observable universe :joystick: So performance-wise we will not have anything to worry about. :megalol:

Will do:D

I think OP will be glad to know that DCSW core with Su-25T is free to play, so that you and your friends don't have to take the other (pirated) route. BTW, welcome to the forum:thumbup:

Have you tried diabling the intel graphics completely in the bios or in device manager?
-
I think intead of ditching your current CPU+mb, it is more cost effective for you to get a decent cooler for you CPU if you don't already have one, and OC it.
