Its a limitation. Rwy and Approach lights are Time dependent only. It would be nice to Have a ATC option for the pilot to call for them.

After the change to the PFM and new cockpit a few changes to the MIG29 came along and a few omissions. It would be nice (pending a full detail MIG29 model) that a few things were corrected NAV SYSTEM Please some waypoint numbers in the HUD (A la SU25T). These numbers should reflect the active/selected Waypoint in ENR mode and the Airfield ID number (which should be published for each map) in RTN and LNDG modes.(This should be carried on to the SU27/33 as well ... at least the map in the 27/33 allows you to have a rough idea what you are steering to) HSI ILS NEEDLES At present the HSI ILS needles only come alive at around 8Km when on a Russian ILS even though the HUD K and r mode annunciations appear together with the deviation circle. The ILS HSI needles should come alive as soon as valid ILS signals are received, and the OFF flags are removed. Also the HSI ILS needles should be centered when not in operation with OFF flags visible. At present they park in the bottom left corner of the HSI. This can be verified by any MIG29 cockpit image/video either on the ground or airborne. AIRSPEED INDICATOR (ASI) This has a White sector in the 12 O'Clock area that has a Number 1 in it. The Needle will only go around once then stops at 1000Kmh. The White window should be black and without a numeral for airspeeds below 1000kmh. As you go past 1000Kmh the sector should uncover to reveal a 1 then the needle continues along. so at 1200KMH the needle will be on 2 with the sector uncovered with a 1 so the IAS can be read as 1 200. TRIM Can the trim rate and or amount be adjusted to allow precise trimming. At present any trim application results in over trimming the other way. COCKPIT LIGHTING Can the internal instrument lighting be made a little brighter. Be nice if the flood lighting was just slightly increased as well. FUEL SYSTEM WING DROP TANKS Given the fuel feed sequence is now correct (Thank you ED). The jettison system needs a little work. At present you can only jettison all 3 tanks together. You cant jettison the wing tanks separately. IRL there is a dedicated jettison button for just the centreline on the stick. Wing drop tanks IRL have a dedicated Guarded jettison push button on the main panel just below the AOA/G gauge. If you try to jettison the WDT by the stores jettison the order results in anything on the outboard wings going first ! A suggested fix. "Jettison tanks" command should only apply to the centreline tank. Provide an additional command "Jettison WDT" would be nice. MIG29G This is weird as its now just MIG29A with HUD IAS in Knots and HUD altimeter in feet ... everything else in the cockpit in KMH and Metres ! ... No TACAN anymore either.

Just revisiting the MIG29. (and loving it). Why is it that when performing an ILS to an airfield equipped with a Russian ILS system in LDG sub mode that the HSI ILS needles only come alive at around 9Km ? Yet the FD circles in the HUD and the fD bars on the ADI all come in to view when you go into LNDG mode and the H and r HUD legends appear. I would have thought all would be displayed at the same time. HSI ILS needles appearing at 9Km is a bit useless

The DME component of a VORDME station is not working on any map. Seems if the DME section of the coding has been missed. It would also seem that ILSDME has not been coded at all. The DME component in a VORTAC works just fine.

Is the speed command pointer enabled in the 101CC ? I would think that IRL it would only operate say with Gear down then ref the AOA On speed ? Doesn't seem to work at all in the Sim

Running Simple Radios. Persian gulf map 20nm from Fujairah where I want to land. I bring up the ATC comms menu to call inbound ... F1 through F10 has every airfield but the one I am closest to Fujairah ! So how do I get Fujairah listed to call inbound ??

C-101CC - No DME information received from VOR/DME beacons.
IvanK replied to Recoil16's topic in DCS: C-101 AvioJet
Both VORDME and ILSDME should be sorted by the devs in DCS maps. -
Found a VORTAC that works in the Persian Gulf map. There would also seem to be a VORDME there as well ... has the VORDME symbol but only gives bearing info. (C101CC)

Cant find any combined VORDME or ILSDME stations in any of the various maps. Do they exist in Sim and if not why not as they are a common Real world Navaids

"On no, another jet with radar stick... " I have many hours Stick fiddling ergonomically it was pretty neat. (Cyrano II Mirage IIIO)

Cyrano IV manual of sorts pretty detailed https://dlscrib.com/cyrano-iv-airborne-fire-control-radar-utilization-manual-thomson-csf_58b1f5516454a7ab10b1e966_pdf.html

Correct me if I am wrong but the later model F1 look down shoot down capability was not PD but some other pseudo look down shoot down thing. with an MTI type function.

The bog standard R530 has zero capability against a maneuvering target. It was designed for non maneuvering bomber types. Its Influence and contact fuzing had severe issues with the arming sequence that occurred immediately after launch. This resulted in hazardous pre mature detonations right in front of the launching aircraft, certainly on the Mirage IIIO/E.

Question: How usefull is GMT radar mode IRL
IvanK replied to daemon1808's topic in Military and Aviation
Great for locking up trucks and driving there Fuzz Busters insane -
That is very common install in Yak52's in many western nations. Altitude in Feet is mandatory is some countries though IAS in KMH is not so much an issue, Be nice option IAS in Knots, Altimeter in feet.

Ver 2.5.6.59625.1 None of the "Toggle' function key bindings for the YAK52 work
-
I dont thing any of the "Toggle" functions work in the Yak 52

These are the actual tuning boards for a real YAK52 ADF located in the rear fuselage. So the freqs can only be set up on the ground i.e. a maintenance task.... funjob :)

The statement in the manual doesn't mean you physically get the nose gear off the ground at 90 Kmh. The idea is to reduce the load on the nosewheel by applying some bacstick.
