  1. Is it possible to get a refund for my F-16 Pre-Order? Who do I need to contact? Thanks in advance - Dave
  2. There is a sub-forum of DCS World Topics/Mods and Apps/Skinning and Liveries titles "AH-1W". Im not sure how long its been there - is ED teasing us?! Finergs crossed for AH-1W
  3. SCS is a 4 way switch on the real A/C. There is no "depress"
  4. Interestingly, the PRELIMINARY Flight Manual for F-14 (Grumman Document, not NATOPS) 1970, does have specific instructions regarding placing the EMERG Wing sweep handle to 20deg. In the TAXI-PILOT procedures, there are 8 steps, including the EMEREG Wing Sweep to 20/Master reset button - depress as well as FLAPS - DOWN. These procedures are missing in all the F-14 NATOPS I have access to - which contain 5 steps in TAXI-PILOT section.
  5. Are you looking at Change 3 of that document? P227 (steps 10-17) does not contain the step to move EMERG WING SWEEP LEVER to 20. STEP 9: EMERGERNCY WING SWEEP handle.....OV SW. Step 27 (Shore OPS ONLY) EMERGRENCY WING SWEEP Handle..20, but this is then followed up in steps 46/47 (still Shore OPs only) (page 231) moving handle to to 68deg and then back to OV SW position. After step 47, there is no mention of EMERGENCY WING OVERSWEEP Handle until challenge/response before take off checklist. So - it is my understanding, that whilst taxiing - EMER WING Sweep Handle is in OV SW and prior to T/O the handle is moved to 20 and the guard closed - however The checklist does not refer to this step. @Victory 205/other SMEs are you able to clarify the procedure? Kind regards.
  6. Hi all, in the HB Pilot Start Procedures (and NATOPS) - at what point is the EMERGENCY WING SWEEP handle moved to 20 and stowed. (for flight) The last step in both the HB and NATOPS procedure, regarding this control is to place the handle on OV SW. In the Shore based procedure (steps omitted for CV) the handle is moved to 20, but subsequently returned to OV SW. The next mention of the handle is the Before Takeoff Checklist verification (read/response) Am I missing something? Ive check HBs procedure and NATOPS from 1997 and 2004 and can't find the answer. Thanks in advance
  7. Im desperate for more DCS Helos. I think the OPs suggestion of a "vanilla" Hawk, UH-60L has huge merit. The information is unrestricted, and the airframe is versatile. Also - I would MUCH prefer a steam gauge aircraft over a more modern Hawk! Please. OMG please let there be DCS "Blackhawk" DCS Kiowa Warrior/MG-530/Armed 407 would be insane too... Being realistic - we won't see an AH/MH-6 or AH-1Z/AH-64E, probably not even a D If its a naval variant of the Hawk - id prefer an HH-60H (steam gauged, CSAR/SF Muti-role machine NOT an ASW type SH-60B/F) Just saying'
  8. Hi Possum/Victory Thanks for your great SME feedback here. Got a question: Showing up on the ball at max trap wt, would deprive you every sortie of the extra training time that "land lubber" brethren would enjoy until they burn down to their lower required fuel states....is this compensated for by increased sorties/hours per annum for USN guys? I understand that hours flown has varied through time, conflicts etc - but as far as comparable - do USN fighter guys get more flight time to practice boat stuff PLUS all the other stuff everybody else does or does the boat flying cannibalise other training? Thanks again! Dave
  9. For me, the boat is "Mustang"....I'm "Ghostrider XXX" VF-1. (Enemy are always MiG-28s too)
  10. After a belter, said "boink" then....."boink, boink...... BOIIIINK!"
  11. Hey Victory. Great work. 12,000 hrs I prefer same learning methods as you. I can’t find your article on departures. Can you post the link? Cheers
  12. Firstly to the Heatblur team: Let me add my congratulations and gratitude for such a superb model we have with the F-14B! I was hoping you might consider making a cleaner/newer F-14A, as the aircraft might have appeared in the 1970s - early 80s. The F-14B is a work of art - stunning even and i dont want to seem critical. The F-14B looks as it might look TODAY, in a museum, with more than 13 extra years of exposure to changing light, heat and humidity conditions - making it feel older than it would have in service. A factory fresh or near new or "low mileage" A model would offer some variety and with both ages modelled - could please a wider fan-base. On reddit, this idea drew some criticism and some support - which is to be expected. There are few people in this community that can actually attest to what a new/near new tactical aircraft interior might look like, but there are quite a few references available. The fact that an aircraft is out of service does NOT mean it will cease to age visually. this is a point missed by many. Submitted for discussion and consideration. Im really in awe of this masterpiece as it stands. Thank you
  13. here is a 2018 Military Callsign list (111 pages) Stennis NOT in here though.... MCL.pdf
  14. Thank you
  15. hi lxsapper, thanks for the picture - the google drive link was for something else thought...Id be really interested to see the full seat plans. Thank you !
  16. Hey Sy, Thanks for reply. Do the plans include Seat?
  17. Thanks for the link Deadman! Nice one. Hey Rockeyes - Cheers, ive sent an email. Thanks guys for the support!
  18. Joker, some of us want to realistically simulate the experience. I agree with all requests for a box and meatball object that can be placed. If you prefer to head out and ramp strike on your 1st look - fill your boots. You might prefer Ace Combat 7, just sayin'
  19. Hey guys, Can any one direct me? Ive been trying to get access to Viperpits.org but even after sending an email as directed, cant get login access. I emailed Tejay "Stang" about his plans - but he's out of the plans selling business. Im wanting to build a detailed F-16 pit with replica ACES II but cant find full plans anywhere. Appreciate any assistance - Cheers Dave
  20. I couldn't care less if the pilot model was white brown, black or yellow. Doesn't matter if its boy or girl. You know what makes the OPs statement reek of Virtue signalling PC? Its the "request" on behalf of other ethnicities and sex than their own. It wasn't "hey, I'm a dark skinned male - can we have a pilot body that looks like me" it was more like "we should have other pilot skins because at the moment they are all "White, male, middle aged" (and probably straight too). Bring it on - but not because the "community" expects DCS to be gender and ethnically balanced. Lets stick to Combat Flight Simulation. Keep political activism away. FFS.
  21. 1. Israeli Theatre 2. See above
  22. I think most of us would "accept" an O-2 in the absence of anything else on offer - but if there was a choice, and possibility - please give us an OV-10!!!
