  1. And there you go, didn't take IvanK long to pick up on this thread!
  2. I know one ex delta lady driver who would love to see the Mirage III
  3. Not sure what Dino did - but he's obviously sorted something out considering that Lockheed Martin have included it in their prepar3d product.
  4. Roger that Tango - thanks for the update
  5. Another point to note is if you are comparing the F-14A to the F-15A in terms of radar and interaction on the part of the pilot: the design philosophy for the F-15A was to enable a single operator to manage the systems with the aid of a computer to the highest level possible. It wasn't easy to achieve with the then sate of the art of computers but the design philosophy pushed the project forward. Whilst the F-14A had computers to aid the operators, the Navy and Grumman didn't believe that the role of interception could be managed by a single operator with state of art of computers at the time.
  6. Thanks Chief1942, that was what was doing it...
  7. I have the same issue for the Su-27 and the F-15C
  8. Yes - the post appears to be a little misleading (unintentionally so)
  9. excellent - thanks for that!
  10. Yes, Accu-Sim models a persistent airframe, largely focused around the engine and it's dependant systems. I've been a big fan of theirs for a long time now and the quality is great - it's just a shame it hasn't been done to date in a combat sim where in a career campaign it would be fantastic to have (though as long as all of the AI don't always have brand new aircraft).
  11. How's this going ArturDCS - not enough interest in terms of donations to make it worth while?
  12. It's actually the saitek drivers rather than DCS not working with it. Have you seen these threads, they might be of interest: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=118988 http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=129384
  13. A-7B..... Navy aircraft that you would have thought the Marines would fly but didn't...
  14. Homeplate is your home base. Picture - bullseye is a pre defined spot on the map (mission planner, you will see a series of small circles defining the spot). So in your example, the single group is 89 degrees from the bullseye point, for 5 miles (or could be kms depending on what side you are on), height is 20000 ft (or could be meters depending on the side you are on)
  15. I'd say the sound will be there, just as it is for the Dora (though it is rather quiet from within the cockpit)
  16. Cobras comment on it being an aircraft you would have expected the marines to fly does bring to mind the A-7, it's an attack aircraft, single seater, unlike the F-14, which as a fleet air defence fighter which personally I would have never expected the marines to fly.
  17. Crosswind - the best flight sim pedals I've ever had and well worth the price!
  18. +1 absolutely needed (IMHO)
  19. I've got the newer one (for photography) and works like a charm and glad I went with it.
  20. Thanks Lino
  21. Bump on the kickstarter - not many more days to go and the target has yet to be met
  22. +1 agree, it would be good to have this as an selectable option (if that can be done) in a future update (not that this is a critical item). The A-4C coming out in the future will have the same challenge - no nose wheel steering.
  23. Restart Mission key binding - really helpful for practice mission for fast reloads versus having to wait for the briefing screen
  24. Well get used to that experience across all aircraft types - looking at the trends of aircraft fit-out developments, you can see that they are redesigning aircraft interior fittings to allow more passengers (whilst also keeping them within limits so that no additional air crew need to be on-board). So the toilets are getting smaller, and in some cases (such as Qantas), the number of toilets has been reduced.
  25. Yes - it's now open!
