  1. And you should also follow the pattern entry with the overhead break to bleed energy when entering downwind - but yeah, air brakes need to be fully deployed (and anticipate the nose up with the brakes, flaps, and gear)
  2. and there is the difference in the real world when you take into account the sense of g force - a mate of mind took me up in a Yak-52 and it was only after that I really appreciated flying under stress to be easy on the stick - in all honesty, it changed my approach to combat flight sim flying (I still can't hit anything :) though)
  3. Also worth having a look at this post http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2107320#post2107320
  4. I would suspect that v2.0 would be released as part of the open beta model whilst the MiG-21 isn't a beta and will likely just have a small update in DCS - speculation on part
  5. LOL - so poor Bunyaps wasn't going mad! Really enjoying this series (as I do with all of Bunyaps videos) - it'll become a quick ref when the a/c is released.
  6. Watch this video, it should help
  7. regarding the pressure - think its part of the beta "features" i.e. what we get isn't inline with the expected operation.
  8. Currently to use the system (as a boost) you need to pull the handle, then switch the system on with the switch just to the right of the magneto control - whether this is the correct process or just a bug... Refer to pages 48-49 of the manual for switch position. The WM50 is a engine boost system with injects a water/methanol mixture into the intake charge of the engine (like a inter/after cooler of Allied aircraft engines) EDIT: as shown below by other posters (and IvanK) - I had this incorrect, the handle is for the aux fuel tank and not required for the MW-50 operation - thanks for the corrections.
  9. That's what I'd like to understand as well
  10. Awsome work mate - thanks for them
  11. As the OP of the Kph comment - I wished I hadn't brought it up as it has taken away from what is a fantastic series of videos and I apologise for getting this thread off track - it wasn't my intention (just me being pedantic).
  12. Bunyap - great work putting this together, your last landing was entertaining :) BTW - I know it's foreign to you - but Kph is kilometres per hour (I know you know that), it's just very strange hearing someone say Kph, try to imagine someone literally saying Mph and you'll know what I mean! That's not a criticism - you range of videos covering DCS aircraft are top notch, have enjoyed them all so thanks for putting this effort into it - it's appreciated by many.
  13. Yes, not actual aircraft access, it just confirms that you don't need buy the pre-purchase from the Eshop.

  15. Correct - no autopilot
  16. Have you selected the Loop or ANT as opposed to the Compass?
  17. I don't see why people are so hostile about this question - sure, I wouldn't fly with the mouse (though did back in the 90's) and yes, I would prefer that the devs spent the time on other things. But I just sometimes don't get this hostile approach some people have.... it's a simple question - give a simple answer - no, there isn't one (mod) and DCS doesn't currently support it.
  18. I fly where there are players (and acceptable ping) _ my challenge is finding servers that have the settings I like. I don't want to sound like saying "full switch or nothing" but I prefer to fly where there are no icons, no map icons, and no external views (unless it's the aerobatics server).
  19. upuaut - will be great to get a hold of the Hartmann's skin
  20. The template load outs aren't there - just go to the arming screen (in ME), select new loadout. and then add the weapons of your choice
  21. I actually had this very problem in my first setup attempt (like IvanK I have the MFG Crosswinds), no matter what I did the pedals were inverted. I resolved it my removing the rudder, left & Right axis assignment. Exited DCS, started it up again, and then reassigned (I had to invert the brakes again) - worked fine after that.
  22. Well then.... why not a F-105F or G model if you like SEAD missions?
