MemphisBelle replied to FZG_Immel's topic in DCS: F/A-18C

^^^^ this, we all should remain silent in this subforums until mid or end of July...if HB didnt released it until then, we can start moaning again

I´ve created the F/A-18C Guides Tutorials and Reference documents Page and added some URL´s already such as all Academic Videos from Wags and the NATOOps ressource pages. Would be nice to see that page growing over time.

NOTE: The crashlog zip file has a total size of 35mb, which is exeeding the maximum filesize of this Forum, thats why I´ve uploaded it onto my own webserver, please get the file from this link: Download Please let me know when I can delete this file again from my server. regards Memphis

No I hope that these information as well as the attached crashlog might be helpful Memphis dcs.log-20180524-080653.zip

On my opinion, it´s all about IRIS Simulations who announced their Tomcat back in 2013. Everythings went well, development updates came along and they were promissing to not drop the Tomcat...suddenly they quitley disappeared from DCS Platform together with the already hyped Tomcat. That´s why I personally feel still a little "traumatised" about that. That was a shock for many of us who have waited so long for this Airplane to finally be seen in a really serious Simulator environment as it is DCS. I know that HB wont do the same...but the fear about that is somewhere sneaking in my mind that moving and changing release timeframes will somewhat turn into a perminant Silence about it. Personally, I´ll believe that we´ll really get the Tomcat the day when it is been released. Until that day everythings applies to the well known sentence "everythings is subject to change"...even for the whole Tomcat Program. Thats why some people (including me) are so impatient about that. BUT I´ve been readin the latest update from HB which sounds very promissing. I´m also aware of the incoming (roundabout) 2 month of "productive" silence and really cant wait to finally read about the Early Access release announcement :)
-
I can not wait for the next update regarding development schedules, shouldn´t they meanwhile have reached a status where a "road to release" can at least be estimated? Just wondering...

that pretty much depends on the Modules and the customers prefrences. In my case i.e. it looks as follows. I purchased the Hornet because I knew there´ll be lots of space between the bug and the following two for me even more favourised Modules to come which is the Tomcat and the Phantom. As I purchased the Hornet just to have it and because its a cool bird, I rather would like to have the Phantom and the Tomcat now. So in case of a close by close release I´d definately purchase the Tomcat today and the Phantom the next month, or vice versa...but of course, just taken my self into that example :D.

correct me if I´m wrong, but I consider the Carrier spawnpoint and map representation system similar to the other maps we have, I pretty much believe that we will be able to place Aircrafts and define their starting Positions as well as their conditions like Rampstart, Rampstart Hot, Runway/catapult etc. I also believe that we´ll have the known drop down menu to select spawn points...everythings else wouldnt make sense and also wouldnt justify the Carrier Module to be a full Prize DCS Module...my thoughts.
-
so it is confirmed that the carrier Module will be available togehther with the Hornet by end of May/Spring 2018 (in EA)? Or am I´m mixing things up here? Dont forget the things which were mentioned in the latest newslatter Quote from the latest update: link sounds all very promising

2021 (and earlier) DCS Newsletter Discussion Thread
MemphisBelle replied to NineLine's topic in DCS 2.9
sooooo, the mentioned persion Gulf release set to end of may 2018 will then go hand in hand with EA of the Hornet? That pretty much makes absolute sense...great...so, just 4 weeks left to wait :D -
Thanks @Scrape for the good explanation.
-
really? Even though its understandbale from a marketing point of view, it doesnt makes sense to me from a technical point of view. I mean...its the same engine, the one need to know what the other´s doing to make sure it´ll work later on within the same workframe..Am I´m wrong there?

Hey guys, I stumbled by accident over a YouTube Channel which became to one of my favourites. It´s called Aircrew Interview and the Idea there is to have interviews with active and retired Pilots from all Areas of Modern Air Combat Airframes as well as all sorts of Aircrafts. To make sure that there´s no missunderstanding, this channel does nothings have to do with my Person, I do not own that channel nore do I have any responsibilities with it. I just want to share what consider to be worthfull for the DCS Community. Have fun: https://www.youtube.com/user/Aircrewinterview/videos

DCS: A-10C Tutorial Collection (PDF´s and Videos)
MemphisBelle replied to MemphisBelle's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I checked it and it works fine again on my PC (Windows, Google Chrome Browser). I also testet the wiki link on Opera, Firefox and Safari and all works fine on all the browsers (see the linked screenshot, which represents the safari browser) Try to load that URL: http://en.wiki.eagle.ru/wiki/Main_Page this is the direct URL to the WIKI main Page. If that works (it actually should) then try to load this one http://en.wiki.eagle.ru/wiki/DCS_A-10C_Guides,_Tutorials_and_Reference_Documents which is the direct link to the A-10C rootpage on the wiki. regards Memphis -

MemphisBelle replied to MemphisBelle's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
hmm, strange. When I've tried yesterday it worked out fine. Once I'm back home I'll check it again via PC. If it still persists so it could be due to a temp technical issue. The wiki worked quite reliable all the past time. -

PLEASE CHECK OTHER BUG REPORTS BEFORE REPORTING A BUG
MemphisBelle replied to Teeter's topic in Resolved Bugs
even though the last post happened in 2016, I´ve got a question @Teeter, have you guys considered to create a bug list or some sort of bug tracker either on this board or on the Wiki or an external bugtracking tool -
