  1. does VD also works with wired Internet or only with WiFi? My router is too far away and the signal is too weak to sustain a stable Connection.
  2. sorry for resurrecting this Thread, but that is....not smart. ED treats People like children if they do this. If a Mission Designer is causing a crash on Deck because of AI Aircraft crash into statics, then the Mission Designer will move statics around to make it not happen again. I think the main reason is that ED does not want to fiddle around too much in the AIs core engine which would make the AI to select that Catapult which is not blocked by statics (mentioned above already a couple of times, @Eldur made a smart Statement about it. But I think that it should really be possible to have a realistic Deck set up, I mean DCS is no War Thunder, if people cant deal with it, then DCS is not for them...my 2 cents.
  3. for some strange reason this Topic has not continued. The TACAN issue still persists on Syria map. I´ve created a Trackfile that represents the TACAN Signal from Beirut (KAD) even though Beirut (KAD) does not even have a TACAN Station (Screenshot). Thx null Beirut TACAN on 73X.trk
  4. It did not essentially break the Game for me. Just go the meta Quest settings and turn off Developer settings, that fixed it for me. Sure You cant use your Hands anymore, but that didn't worked well anyways.
  5. negative, it also showed up for me on a SP Training Mission. I´ve used Mods. On a naked Vanilla DCS Test Mission (1 Airborne Hornet armed with LBG-12, ATFLIR, Maverick F, GBU V2 1000lp)....no crash
  6. I´m having another issue. My Hand controllers do not appear but the Mouse pointer is locked to my hand anyways (not the hand controller). Even if I turn off the Hand controller its messing up my Cockpit interactions
  7. sorry for resurrecting that Thread, but Cage/uncage does not have an Effect at all (DDI is SOI)
  8. sorry, what? Very low settings? Your setup is beyond mainstream and rather considered HighEnd. I used to have a Rift S using the same processor and a RTX 3080 with maxed Out settings and max FPS. I wonder what storage you use, I have DCS installed on an M.2 NVME 2TB (Samsung 980 Pro) and I have 64Gb of DDR5 RAM and Win 11. May be these are the differences.
  9. Update on the F/A-18C Hornet Tutorial Series Collection by Redkite His complete Series has been added now to the Collection
  10. make sure to set the max FPS limit to 40 or 45. I've set mine to 40 and with max settings I can fly the Phantom with stable 40 FPS in VR with my Quest 3. Anything higher than 45 is rediculously unnecesarry. Setting that limit will help stabilize the performance.
  11. I just wanted to mention, that I have created an own Twitter (X) Account to better communicate on the addition of certain or specific Tutorials. I'm aware that my website still has many issues and lacks lots of Tutorials for many Modules, but I'm working on these items. Furthermore, I have recently managed certain Milestones like ensuring security by enabling SSL certificates and the addition of a better understanding of which Modules are covered with Tutorials and which are not. However, this applies for the Module Tabs, but not yet for the Series Tab. I'm still working on its completion.
  12. The first 2 OH-58D Kiowa Tutorial Series have been kicked off. The first one by CasmoTV and the second one is a german Series by Celricaviation
  13. CasmoTV surprised us today with the OH-58D Kiowa Start up Tutorial. Thus the Kiowa Section on the website has been opened up for the Kiowa to present the Tutorials which are yet about to come within the next weeks and months. Enjoy
  14. I gave up on the new concept of Highlighting covered and not covered Modules on my website. I now decided to showcase Modules without Tutorials (at least not yet covered on my Tutorial Collection) with a dimmed image and a respective Tool Tip information. Next big thing is the growing Tutorial base on the F-4E Phantom. Whoever sees this and is a Content Creator, please don't hesitate and send ye links to your material. I´ll add these then to my website. That of course does not apply for the Phantom alone, it applies for all available Modules. The third subject on this news List is the addition of the Fire Control Radar (FCR) of the AH-64D Apache, which has now also received a separate Category on the Apache page, go and check it out.
  15. Holy smokes, I´m very impressed about your Hardware stock. Looks like I have to place another order sometime in the near future
  16. Important Information about the Websites Security issue. The Warning concerning insecure Website has now been fixed. The Website HTTPS forwarding was set up and works, certificates are in place and mixed Content issues solved. From now on, I continue on finishing the new layout and add more content. null Let me know if you like the new representation of Tutorials covering a Module, or if you rather prefer the old style. The Mouseover Effect still only turns the Module color from Black/white to colored. null
  17. Major Website update with yet missing Modules added to the Modules overview. Secondly, the F-4E Phantom II by Heatblur Tutorial Collection page has been opened up with the initially released Academic Videos: https://www.dcs-tutorial-collection.de/contents/pages/F-4E_tutcol.php#top Second thing to say is that I´m still working on the websites mixed Content issue (warning message that this Side is not safe). My Website is safe to use as it does not contain any Data collecting assets, it's a very simple Website created just of html/CSS and .php pages and very minor scripts to embed user counter in the footer. All that is only to represent Youtube Links. In fact I could have done that also with a Text file a very simple HTML only code, no CSS and no PHP, but no one would dare to check it then. Thus all the efforts are just to give this all a nice eye candy. Its not even a CMS, its entirely constructed in Notepad++ from scratch. However, a SSL encryption certificate has been installed and I´m tracking down remaining http: references. I just want you guys to know that there´s no need to worry about to use my Website. Update: You might notice, that I´m currently working on the Website. I plan to provide a better understanding on which Modules are covered with Tutorials already and which are not. This will be enabled by a simple border frame around the image. Those who have a green border have tutorials and those with a red border have not. But that all takes a while as I´m changing the module icons in the same process. However, meanwhile I´ll of course keep adding the latest Tutorials for the Phantom.
  18. That is correct and the meta Quest 3 is wired via Link cable. You can of course also use Air Link via WLAN, but that is not recommended in DCS as its too instable...except you sit right next to the router. The entire F-10 map is a strange concept as its a recreation of the entire map in just a different view, even trees are moving in the wind.
  19. have you changed the Bitrate in your OculusDebugTool? Dont forget that the Quest 3 works differently than other native PC VR Headsets. The Quest Link is streaming the image which might be affected if some settings are not set. The only issue I have when returning back from the F10 map is, that the image is overall overblended for a few seconds (too bright). I have not yet been able to track down the reason for that issue.
  20. What headset do you have? I do not have anymore of those effects in my Quest 3 since I´ve added a higher Bitrate value in OculusDebugTool
  21. Holy Cow, you have these issues with an i7-13700k and a 4090? I run now a meta Quest 3 (see my Specs in my Sig) with quite a good performance. Whats the serving Program to run the Pimax Crystal? For all old a later Oculus and Meta Quest Headsets, its the meta link App on the PC, which comes with lots of tool to enhance the performance.
  22. I also stumbled over a VideoTutorial (in french with somewhat helpful subtitles), but the tips and tricks there helped me to not having DCS crashed anymore and get a better overall experience in VR. I've described my settings in DCS and oculusDebugTool here in the ED Discird VR chat: https://discord.com/channels/542985647502393346/585923879059587082/1234575464199094443 @BIGNEWY I'd say that this Thread can be closed then with a "solution found" or whatever standarts there are. Thx.
  23. Can you meanwhile confirm that a DCS crash does not occur during Headset raising, when OpenXR Turbomide is deactivated? Cant test atm.
  24. Which VR Headset are you using? Or do those issue appear even in 2D?
  25. Have we talked about your Specs already? What a System do you have? Apart of it, are you running Windows 10 or 11?
