  1. Will check with the coder to see if there is something that would lock it down. Next time it happens try to write down what you did just before. Like if you pressed any keys or any buttons.
  2. Were testing it. But keep in mind there a lots of variables at play here...computer speed, ram, graphics card, and hard drive type contribute to it greatly. So if you don't have your specs in your signatures, please let us know the information for those variables.
  3. Ok so let me ask a different question - do you have any sounds from any other aircraft?
  4. Very cool. I might have to get my old USB monitors out to use for this.
  5. This is pretty much what I do when I start at a FARP. I just program waypoint 9 with the FARP's location and get going.
  6. wow, resolution on this looks amazing - what graphic card are you using?
  7. It's a bit complex. But essentially the change log date is the date that code was sent to ED. At that point during the next upgrade (either to 1.5.3 or 2.0) the updated code will be send to the Gazelle. So in theory, the next update for either 1.5.3 or 2.0 should see all the ins in the changelog.

  8. How about a BO-105? She can carry six HOTs along with other weapons. As to the original question....were working on modeling and coding the 20 mm gun pod and rockets. Also working on the Mistral as well. Can't give a timeline yet but it's something were working on.
  9. Helicopters a different aircraft then planes in a lot of ways. But one thing I hear people say is they think the collective increases and decreases throttle. This is not true at all. Most helicopters have a set throttle that rarely gets touched in flight. What the collective does is modify the angle of the planes to increase or decrease pitch.
  10. Did you make a video? Would love to see it. I never tried it with my DK2, although it should work just as well. It feels like the CV1 cords are longer too so makes it easier to walk around. I did order a HDMI extender and USB extender so I could make the cable 6ft longer to be able to walk around a little more...should be fun.
  11. Has it happen on a regular basis? Can you provide some steps to what your trying to do so I can try to replicate in testing?
  12. Yep working on it. I have most of the standard procedures done, just need to work on emergency ones. Then testing...lots of testing.
  13. It's a known issue when landing in grass or outside airports. It's on the bug list of things to look into.
  14. So were learning something today. I'm actually working on the checklist that mimics the real Gazelle checklist and I decided to look up, since the steps above was what I just did. so here's the official from the manual method of stopping the engines: 1) Set the controls to neutral. 2) Move the fuel flow control level fully aft. CHECK: the 'ALARM' red warning light comes on. The rpm decreases. 3) Tighten the cyclic and collective pitch friction locks on the aircraft not fitted with the SAS (doesn't apply to us since we got SAS). 4) Return the starter to "OFF' position when the rpm and t4 temperature have stabilized. CHECK: The "STOP" (BLOC) red warning light comes on and then goes out. The "ENG P" (H.MOT) light on the failure warning panel comes on. 5) Set the booster pump switch to "OFF" (ARRET) 6) Wait until the "STOP" (BLOC) warning light goes out, and switch all switches OFF except for the magnetic brakes. CHECK: the failure warning panel lights and all the warning lights on the instrument panel go out. Next section is how to stop the rotor. Basically saying that when RPM has fallen to 170 or under apple the rotor brake. So looks like I was wrong in my list, hence why I'm working on the official checklists to be released.
  15. She didn't fly it, I did. She replayed it to test the game seat and the Cv 1. She had a blast on it and it was a great review for game seat.
  16. Let me know if it works now.
  17. So someone on my youtube page asked if I could wing walk. I figured I have a replay of an L-39 flight....how hard can it be. So it's terrifying and the coolest thing in the world at the same time. So as far as I know, and until proven wrong I believe that this is: a) The first time someone has wing walked on a jet plane. b) Someone has wing walked on a jet plane in DCS with and Oculus Rift CV1
  18. So here's what i've done: 1) Turn of fuel flow 2) When rotors are spinning slower, start applying rotor brake 3) Turn off AP, pitot, trimmer, magnetic brake 4) Turn off Gyro, Nadir, RWR, any other system like weapons systems 5) Turn off Radios and countermeasure system 6) Turn off Fuel pump, battery, generator, alternator.
  19. Well according to the actual manuals I've seen (and working on transcribing the checklist from) the fuel level starts from a rear position and is moved forward. As far as I understand, when you turn on the fuel pump it just pumps the fuel to where it can be injected into the engine. The starter then injects the fuel into the system when it's turned on. Sort of like when you turn on your car and its just at idle. Then moving the fuel flow forward (like pressing the gas pedal) adds more fuel into the engine making it go faster. So if the engine was just shut off, the fuel would most likely already be in the lines, and you wouldn't need to pump it for 20 seconds. As for the fuel shutoff, it's not modeled but it's right of the fuel flow lever. We did have a request to model it and it has been added to the master sheet.
  20. It's only on 1.5.3 Open Beta right now.
  21. That would be good. I think it would help with the gazelle missions
  22. I made a quick review of it, it's worth it: Ok back to praising....Polychop rules!
  23. Nope. Only Alititude mode which holds alt, speed more holds speed - then you have auto hover. Pilot points it in the right direction.
  24. Yeah were getting there with testing. I find it very awesome when you hit the vortex she starts to shake. Gives me a couple second advantage so I can recover much faster. it's saved my Gazelle many of times.
  25. So need to try to replicate this...but it seems like the second picture is actually aimed at the windows in the tower - which the laser would go through since they are transparent. I would try aiming for the top of the tower where its solid. Will test this weekend when I get a chance as well.
