Yeah not sure about simmeters, but one thing I do know is someone else out there is trying the same thing as us and will figure out all the hard stuff for us! Makes it easier for a noob like me!
I think as long as you can have the data for what you want to do virtual panels should be possible (in theory at least). I'd like to do the same thing so I'm right with you in wanting to learn how.
One thing to make sure is to check all axis assignments in game and make sure the axis' are not double mapped. I had this very problem with my Saitek gear when first starting the sim. What I did was delete every axis command (for any and every controller then re-assigned the commands. I know you mentioned you set up the axis' properly but did you delete all the axis' commands first? Whatever it is its gotta be something simple! Check what I mentioned to see if that may be the problem.
Sweet thanks a lot. Perfect timing because I have the upcoming weekend off after spending the last five weekends painting our boat. Now its back to the same old BS err I mean new BS!
Definitely got the spouse and scarring skills and I'm no slouch with a hammer and nails. I guess I just need to get my tub started one of these days. Any case really inspiring work you all do!
Yeah Wasp as I've mentioned on other forums great work definitely gets the award for most unique simpit. And thanks for getting back to me on what kind of controller that was (sounded like a good party way back).
Oh that simply comes down to game ratings if they put too much blood and gore into these games the ESRB will rate the game as for adults only and kill the potential sales to ADD suffering kiddies (I mean the base lol). GTA III had gore where you could literally pop peoples heads like balloons and shoot their legs off leaving them to hop along but they took it out of the game due to ratings and enabled the feature via cheat code. Hot Coffee Mod comes to mind next although that was as lame as a nude Lara Croft!
Yeah if you figure in the thriving mod community after the game was cracked and the sim has never been better. I still prefer the stock game as I don't like messing with the mods (no reason other than just too lazy to actually try them) so I'm definitely looking forward to this!
Grizzly is a savage the stuff he's built even the non functioning stuff is just amazing. Some really cool ideas from the generic pit to full blown in that thread and of course a shameless plug for my pit!
I think the Saitek Aviator is well suited for lefties as well and is a much cheaper solution than other options. Check out http://www.saitek.com for more info.
The woodworking skills of guys around here always amazes me. I can build a pretty nice backyard deck if I want to, but you guys really take the cake with your projects. Are the full real pit builders cabinet makers in another life?
Pretty sure I haven't had to d/l missions if I had them installed already. Maybe you haven't put the missions in the correct folder for multiplayer? Not sure but its a thought.
I'll be out painting our boat this weekend (same deal last weekend) and maybe next weekend too. We use Team Speak and you could always get with Cat he'll probably be around this weekend. Connection info at http://www.DCS-Mercenaries.com
