  1. That it does. It will be out when its out.... Early Autumn doesnt meant Sept. 23rd (was correcting his dates, not sure why people thing the first day of fall is the 21st....) it means before the end of Autumn.
  2. I have no issue reading anything in the Hornet Pit.
  3. autumn begins on September 23rd, not the 21st...
  4. Can confirm this. My system died when 8 hornets met me at the Tanker last night. Once they left out of visual range everything was find. Then had 8 Tomcats join me, had no issues. My specs are below...
  5. Good point, update. I do not have an image. I'm sure there is one out there somewhere showing this.
  6. You are probably taxiing too fast. You should be taxiing VERY SLOWLY. Try to only use one engine and be easy on the throttle.
  7. Commencing: Hook down in the port hold, no less than 2,000 ft Push out of Spot 3 on the Reciprocal BRC +30 Degrees. Accelerate to 350 kts / Descend to 1,200 FT and level off. At 300+ kts, sweep wings to 68° you are looking for 8.0nm DME on the HSD. At 8nm DME, bank left at 30° and being your decent to 800 ft. Usually 200 FPM descent will do just fine. MAINTAIN 350 kts and a 30° bank angle or you will swing way wide on starboard or short to port Use your HSD, TACAN and CRS line to get yourself lined up. Use your instruments, it's what they are there for. Roll out just to the right of the ship on the BRC. Call Initial at 3nm This will get you in line every time. There is a reason this is the way things are done. After Trap Speed brake and DLC come in since you went to MIL power on touch down Once stopped and slightly pulled back, Throttles to idle then Hook up flaps up wings Bomb mode, Enable NWS Turn right to the six pack / street While doing that, the wing sweep cover is coming up and I am lifting the Emerg. sweep handle to prepare for over sweep. Once ready, wings go into over sweep. head to the Corral, get de-armed. then taxi to parking.
  8. I went from the O to the O+ and had very much the opposite experience, as many others have as well. take this with a grain of salt.
  9. We should have the ability to, regardless if "most" had them on at all times......
  10. hello team. I know you are all busy plugging away at bugs and new features. However, any update into the ability to remove the Fuel Tank pylons like you can with the phoenix pallets (and hornet pylons)? thanks!
  11. I don't know about AI wingman, I fly in an air wing. I dont know the official references for the tanker but here is why I do. I fly co-altitude with the wing tip, and put my eye line down the leading edge of the wing so that it looks like a straight line. Then keep a reasonable spacing. (maybe someone knows the official bearing lines to hold. If you are going to have to tank from the Starboard wing, you will start from the port observation hold, transition right slightly behind, and below the guy on the left wing. Then the rest is just like the left wing. Come up call pre-contact and grab gas. Stay below the engine line as to not hit wake turbulence and jet wash.
  12. Ah, there is your issue. Wake turbulence descends the farther out you go. Proper Tanker approach is to move in on the port side (left) away from the wake. Once established in the port observation hold (formation on the left wing), you get cleared into pre contact position. From the left hold, descend to be below the wing and engine line and slide to the right inline with the pod. Call pre contact and wait for the basket to extend out. you should not be that far behind the tanker, you just slid to the right from the hold. Then come up just a tad to be in line with the basket and move forward and plug it. when don't tanking, retract probe, drop altitude slightly and reduce airspeed to drop back. Then slide to the starboard observation hold and climb up to wing height. Come forward a bit and then fly formation while you wait for your wingman.
  13. you need to stay below the wings. If you are hitting the Wake Turbulence, you are wrong. drop down on the left, come under the wing tip vortex, line up and pull up a little and remain under the wing. If you are hitting the wake, that close, you are too high.
  14. 1 and 3 a parallel. 2 and 4 intersect but a long way out in front of the boat. Doing the departure procedure deconflicts them, plus 2 is in front of 4.
  15. The first hornet academic video was posted on July 31st, 2017. The hornet released in May 2018. So not quite.
  16. Should be 1 and 3 simultaneous and 2 and 4 simultaneous launches. They would do 1 and 4 as the launch paths intersect. So, if you follow this rule and proper departure procedures, you shouldn't hit any wake turbulence from departing aircraft.
  17. Yes, on full scale carrier, a tomcat on cat 2 could launch before a Tomcat on cat 1, even with both of their wings spread. There is a good 7-8 ft of clearance between them.
  18. the empty tanks don't reduce the mileage that much. They are pretty streamlined with the airflow over the air-frame. Bring them home or piss off the guys on the boat. BUT, if you must, the option is already in the jester menu.
  19. They are still WIP per the patch notes....
  20. They are likely too busy fixing bugs / issues caused by ED's changes.
