  1. I recall Prowler saying they were working on one from scratch, like none of it had been form any of their previous models from FSX or SF series or anything. He did allude to having to wait for the ground radar stuff, but that doesn't necessarily mean it'll be out the door as soon as ED releases the rights/info/tech/whatever they say in their biz to other devs. Also it sounds like there are already a few other planes ahead of whatever we as the community speculate and hope for, MiG-19, Super Tucano, and Mirage III have all been talked about as being ahead of a potential A-7 and MH/CH-53 of sorts. We'll just have to wait and see what "Santa" brings us by Xmas of 2019, anything before that is just a special gift. It's hard to be patient lol....Intruder is one of the modules I was most hoping for in the future, and I am as antsy as anyone, but we just need to wait until we get something solid showing progress is actually being made on an Intruder. Which I hope it is :-)
  2. Shags, the Huey sits tail low in a hover, are you sure you aren't tail striking? :-)
  3. The scripts are neat, we can pick up dudes, yep! I'm a CSAR / transport guy in a squadron, and pretty much my role in the unit is open because of the CTLD scripts. It's pretty cool, when I pilot goes down a man is placed on the ground right where the ejection occurred and he starts transmitting a beacon signal to ADF on. Once you're a mile and half away he pops a blue smoke. You can land near him or hover over him for 10 seconds, after which he "gets in the choppah!" (disappears, it's simulated of course). As cool as this is I have to agree with the originator of this thread. Being that we have helicopters why not make a real CSAR function? Admittedly, it's a little hokey to land and pick up an infantry soldier who was plopped down in full tac gear on a hillside, helmet, M16, all of it, instead of a guy in flight gear. It's gets even funnier when the actual bailed out pilot has landed a few hundred meters away is is just standing there like a grouse while you pick up GI Joe I don't know how a real CSAR function would be to implement, but I figure if some guy or gal can write a script for it as an add on and it works then so can ED? It's nice that us rotorheads get some love in airframes and single player campaign DLC's, but with three more helicopters potentially coming, two of them real world CSAR assets, it'd be the great to have something like this come in time for these.
  4. Awful, just awful.......but for whatever reason once I started it I had to finish it...... "You haven't let me down yet!"
  5. Did think to try without, our server runs the above mods, and I don't fly DCS unless it's with my unit. Sorry!!
  6. So I saw this one the other night, fresh spawn, the server is running a few mods but nothing that would make me think this would happen? Mods list: Diveplane's sound mod, Barways v6, Skullz Huey sounds (not the recent one), and an objects pack that I am not sure of the total content - I'll have to get back to BST on that one. Anyone else seen this? these were door gunners with minis, again, these mini's had NOT been used, I had just spawned!
  7. I read that there is no RAT in a Harrier.
  8. Perfect for this module lol....can't wait!!!!
  9. Above - "Uh......whoopsie?" Lol reminds me of the Bill y Jon episode 2, with the rogue Maverick......
  10. How 'bout a twofer?? %5Bimg%5Dhttps%3A//i.imgur.com/e4rQ6Ep.jpg[/img]
  11. Corsair more or less confirmed by RAZBAM early last year: https://www.facebook.com/RazbamSims/photos/a.316309961788982.75719.316077818478863/1220573178029318/?type=3&theater
  12. Buccaneer is being worked on, although it looks to be stalled at the moment; the dev who was handed it is working on the TU-22 which takes priority for him, and also some issue with BAE although I am not quite sure what exactly is going on there to be honest. Still, here's to hoping still!! https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=163181
  13. Thanks Doc, you're awesome! I'll be a better student and look up faraday cage on my own, I don't know what it is but it's a noun and Goggle does well with those. I appreciate the response!! ~Rob
  14. Can someone please explain the "gold" canopies please? I have heard it had to do with radiation protection, but I would like to get a real answer form someone who knows for sure! ~Rob
  15. Oh yes, no one ever mentions that you should uncheck that box. If you have the rudder trim set with your pilot trimmer it jacks up your fine maneuvering on approaches and hovering.
  16. I would also say that this is because you don't see new pilots flying it. Read enough books about Vietnam and you will regularly see that the Huey would "wobble" on landing in the hands of a newer guy.
  17. Smile for the camera lol......
  18. Pavlovian dog theory lol......we're the dogs for sure!!! Ring the bell God, ring it!!
  19. Heyo Skulz!!!! Welcome back! Is this latest version jsgme compatible?
  20. I don't mean to shovel more coal into the hype train, but BST has been doing other than just Hornet. The F-4 has gotten some love, so maybe the F-4 is closer than we'd expect and the Hind not too far, er, behind?
  21. Damn, That's really very nice of them to include Steam users like that.
  22. yes'm, VERY fun plane.
  23. Oh and really neato to see interest from a real life vet from the Sabre age!!! My pops flew FJ-4's in the Marines, he loved the jet!! He passed away a few years ago, but he would have been your dad's age this year. It was always funny to watch him try to play Microprose's F-117 Stealth game with me lol......hopefully your Dad does better than mine did at games!!
  24. If you want a really want to get into a good stick/ HOTAS / pedals combo for not all that much I'd recommend CH Fighterstick USB with Pro pedals. The pedals are pretty well though of in the community, better than any of the Saitek gear from everything I've heard from friends and read in reviews. The HOTAS is nice, but you need the pedals since it does not have twist for rudder. it has a good number of buttons to set and use - not quite so good for the modern jet stuff with a bazillion functions, but it has been perfect for me for Sabre and F-5. Between all of the castle switches, canoe switches, coolie hats, etc, you have over 32 functions you can set on 4 ways, plus your normal buttons, plus trims on the stick base. The only thing I don't like is that the program manager is very old and very hard to use, so for me I have not been able to set up the "slew dongle" or whatever you call the mouse function thingy. I also have a small beef with the throttle not having a friction lock, I have my push to talk buttons on the throttle, so when I get "windy" I notice that I am slowly pulling the throttle back - not a huge deal and for sure a self inflicted wound, but there you go. Price - New around $120 per piece, so $300, but mine have lasted me over seven years, so totally worth it. I've seen used for half that, and listen, after seven years of use, and I nerd out so near constant use, there are no dead zones, no wiggles, loose connections, nothing. They still act as they did the day I bought them. https://www.amazon.com/CH-Products-200-571-Fighterstick-USB/dp/B00006B84X I can't personally couch for any other controllers. I've heard good things from my friend who has the Thrustmaster pedals. They cost him $80 from Newegg on one of their sales days. Hope this helps!! ~Rob
