It wouldn’t be “random” though. Not in real life.
Your ability to tolerate Gs is tied directly to your body mass, your fitness level, your flight currency plus genetics.
These are not random factors.
I think the OP needs to temper his expectations just a bit.
Nobody just jumps into an A-10 (or any combat aircraft) and instantly becomes Ace Of The Base.
Get on YouTube and start watching Bunyap Sims “On The Range” series. They were made in Hog-1 but 90% of the tips and techniques will translate to Hog-2.
Lack of Point Track shouldn’t matter. Laser hits where TGP cursor is pointing (but the rest of the system may not see it as SPI)
But the Laser is one window of the pod and the camera is another so depending on orientation, one can be masked while the other may not be.
If you only see a PLUS Sign on the HMCS, then the cursor is not caged to where you’re looking.
You need to see a “Maltese Cross” (Plus Sign has serifs on the ends) to be sure your HMCS cursor is caged to your LOS.
Might be a calm wind runway issue at Kobuleti so ILS may not have been active for that runway.
You need at least 7m/s surface wind (I think) to get an airbase to use a particular runway.
The A/P on the Hog really only babysits and does not “control” the jet.
It’s a very manual aircraft and requires trimming almost constantly. It’s a pilot’s plane and not a robot.
