I just started using the TPOD myself again Saturday myself after about a 6 month absence. I spent a good portion of the day trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. I got frustrated and walked away. Found this thread last nite,,,, I have no answers, thats why I am here

I dont know how well the arresting gear is modeled, but on the actual flight deck, it was not that unusual for the hook to get caught up on the wire. We wouldnt signal the pilot to raise the hook until the aircraft rolled backwards far enough so the the hook would very clearly, clear the hook, and if it got caught up, we would signal the pilot to keep off the breaks, then signal the arresting gear operator to jerk back the wire, then as the plane continued to roll back (rather uncomfortably fast in some cases), clear the hook and wire, signal raise hook, then signal the pilot forward, and rather powerfully at that point. So once trapped, you should be at full Mil, and perhaps even a shot of burner, NO BRAKES applied, you should snap back to idle and let the tension pull you back a bit. (In real life, the the director would be signally you to stay off the brakes so you would start rolling back, then he will tell you when to raise the hook) THEN raise the hook. The cable should be separated at this point and at rest on the deck

I just updated Win 10, all works fine for me. Im not that tech savvy with alot of the file structures, but feel free to ask and I will try and help you the best I can. I am still using Foxy.

Hmm,,, I have not used mine since Saturday, but it was working fine then, I will check and see if all is well, and make sure Windows 10 is up to date, I last checked for updates about 2 weeks ago. I will let you know.

Pretty much the same results for me as well,,, charts or no charts, spread sheets or no spread sheets. it was an instant, very noticeable observation!

I am using the Cougar HOTAS also, and I still use the FOXY software. What I am not clear on is if I press the Dogfight switch LEFT to initiate: "DOGFIGHT/CENTER" and I press the Dogfight switch RIGHT to initiate :"MISSILE OVERRIDE/CENTER" What command do I initiate for the "RETURN" (to center)? E.G. BTN T7 /O DOGFIGHT/CENTER /R ?????????????? BTN T8 /O MISSILE OVERRIDE/CENTER /R ???????????????

Are any of the MODS you are using intended to make the exported DDI's more legible? I only ask because I know that if you are editing those .lua files, there is an adverse effect on the OEM DDIs

I am sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, I dont recall the specific details needed to make this work. I'm sure it is something simple though. If someone else doesnt chime in here soon, and if your not aware of Helios, I would suggest you do the following, and you dont need to install Helios to do this, I am just providing you with an option that may help you. Goto Capt Zeens website: http://www.captzeen.com/helios/index.asp Download the SU-25T profile and extract the files in a temp folder. Open its installation instructions. Outside of the instructions to install Helios, and this SU-25T profile, there are other instructions regarding export files etc, that are needed just to accommodate exporting instruments etc, even without the use of Helios. I would search the SU-25T threads, Im sure others have tried the same thing. You may have already dealt with this stuff? I dont know? I hope you get it figured out.

I think your Shkval width is supposed to be 1920, not 2561? You may also have an issue with the name "Shkval"? I dont use the SU-25T, but there may need to be some editing done with its init.lua to get it to export?

Thank you, that is indeed VERY comprehensive indeed! I will keep that one for sure. I am still looking for a updated QUICK reference chart much like the one I have attached as an example. Reason I am looking for quick reference is because I use a Tablet next to me for quick reference using Excel. Its nice and handy to click on a TAB real quick and select say "Threats" and get a consolidated chart. Thanks for this though,, very informative indeed.
