  1. So thinking around christmas then??
  2. interested in this project too
  3. any chance for an update?
  4. Im assuming some of these are the missions you are looking for. You can see where they are located, but looks like they are on the Normandy map. I thought the Normandy map encompassed the Channel map in its entirety, sorry its been a while since Ive flown these maps. I HAVE them, just rarely fly nowadays so didnt meant to be misleading. Select your aircraft on the aircraft icon on the main screen, instant action, and pick the map.
  5. I just used some wood screws and screwed them down to the floor. There are countersunk holes in the base of the pedals that allow you to do so and they fit perfectly with wood screws or any self tapping screw. Or you can just get a bunch of velcro, tape it up on the bottom and place it on a chair mat or a carpet saver of sort.
  6. you guys really should treat the newer guys a little bit better than that. the hobby is hard enough to get into without the inane hard time over something minor like not knowing the designation of an aircraft or cant speak english natively. be better than that.
  7. 2 versions of the Mirage F1 are available now since 2.9, and the latest is a 2 seater.
  8. heres to hoping for a thanksgiving release date and can finally enjoy a Corsair for a change.
  9. its not odd, most youtubers run their own servers. they also probably have dedicated employees running behind the scenes taking clips in real time while they film from different angles. every time I record a video, I almost always have to use 10-20 ppl to record various scenes. one of the benefits of being in a squadron.
  10. to get the server side track file, you have to ask the host for it. Its generated on the machine thats running the server. Your machine records your aircraft alone in MP; the server records everyone's aircraft, and its actually the best version with the least amount of errors in the track file...at least before the fix, so Im not sure how accurate that statement is anymore.
  11. twist in a rotor blade or a propeller blade is the entire blade twisting along its axis via the shank due to drag created from the created thrust. the leading edge of the blade tends to thrust up or forward (or aft if it has thrust reversers) increasing the blades angle of attack in and of itself.
  12. you have to get the server side track to watch.
  13. Right click on the top slot and set it up. It will bring up a menu asking to locate your saved games folder and main directory. Used to be there were icons on the slot selection for that...
  14. Channel map IIRC.
  15. Oh I work with sheet metal for a living, Ive no doubt I can do it. The job isnt all that hard, I just dont have space here at home to do so. Maybe when I get my own place I will build one, but this current economy prevents that from happening.
  16. Yeah Ive looked at that, and its about perfect for what I need and then some. Unfortunately its a tad bit out of reach for me. I "might" make a concession to get both of them though as it has just about everything I want and need in a cockpit. Id love nothing more than to build my own. I know where to find the extrusions, the hardware, everything. I just dont have a place of my own to do the work, else I would have done that years ago.
  17. Deleting the tail numbers (left blank) results in a default of 000 being placed all over the aircraft. No other aircraft has this issue, but tail codes are now displayed in 14(!) locations on the jet since 2.9. In this screenshot, I used ... in lieu of numbers. This was a start in air, not a rearm. Doesnt happen during a rearm.
  18. Ive been waiting on something like this to start in the F-15E. I dont really have time to read the manual, its best to have a hands on learning experience to learn the hows and whys. You're my hero for the day!
  19. going on 10 years now....time sure is a' flyin' by...
  20. So I have a Wheel Stand Pro warthog edition at the moment. Its a few years old, performs for me very well, but I want something more. Ive been looking at buying a few new cockpits like the Boeing Military Edition Next Level Racing cockpit and a Simfab DCS version. Need to keep my budget under $1000 USD. Ive scoped out Voltaire and Monstertech and I find them a bit expensive or less transportable. Something that doesnt necessarily come with monitor stands but I can slap on upgrades at a later time, say for like a collective or a Winwing Hornet UFC. Looking for something that has everything I need out of the box though at first. Does anyone here have the Boeing ME NLR cockpit by chance? Im fairly interested in getting one, but only if I can fit my VKB MCE w/ 200mm extension onboard, two Virpil throttles and eventually a collective. Are there any upgrades or addons for the setup? Or are there better options out there that I havent seen yet? Need some opinions if possible!
  21. best I can find, something to do with foveated rendering and eye tracking. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3332882/
