F/A18E/F Super Hornets block 1 and BLock 2 E/F ( lot 26)

F/A18E/F Super Hornets block 1 and BLock 2 E/F ( lot 26)
Hammer1-1 replied to Kev2go's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Theres as much hope that ED will do the F-18D as the F-18E early blocks...but with that said, theres literally nothing to learn when it comes to flying it - providing you already know the Hornet inside out. Literally not a whole lot of work to make an F-18D other than a new external model and cockpit. The Aircraft CG isnt that far off from the C, the aircraft basically handles the same, same payload...and ED already shot that one down. IDF Mods is making one and honestly cant wait for it. Its about the exact same amount of work for ED to make the suggested SH...probably a little bit less considering the cockpit is almost identical. My crystal ball tells me to GFM. -

I want my F-15 with ASAT. And to keep that on topic, ..would the GAU-5A be a loadable weapon? And I dont mean on the dashboard either; point, click, shoot out the window. -

Dude. No Super Hornet. Its not even realistic or feasible. Its just getting annoying at this point; you're welcome to pray for one and miracles do happen sometime, but you're going to get disappointment more than a miracle with an F-18E/F/G. -

Theres a lot of things wrong with that question. That implies Glen Powell is familiar with the back seat and knows what to look for. -

the laser used in the Apache's targeting system is basically the same laser you would use in a remote control for your old school television. Dont remember where I read it, you could change the channel of the tv using the laser, but not sure how true that is. -

Rest assured the Australian govt will be just as tight lipped about their aircraft as we are. They're designed to work with NATO members seamlessly especially their growlers. I can pretty much guarantee that they're going to have those options installed. Interestingly, if the Indians happen to secure a Boeing contract, exceedingly good chance they wont. Thats a lot of tech they will have to incorporate into their Mig/Suhkoi fleet that the State Dept would absolutely hate to see happen. Still wouldnt even hope to see a SH in any way - even as an AI model. -
Well I can tell you after owning no less than 3 sets of Cougar MFDs (and how fast they turn to junk), the $240 USD starts to look like a bargain after you start replacing them because of wiring bundle issues. The way they package those cables, the way they're routed, put an insane amount of strain and wind up yanking soldered wires off buttons after a while. Ill take quality 10 times out of 10.

VR Shaders mod for better VR experience
Hammer1-1 replied to Kegetys's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
those that state failed to compile are those that need to be pulled. That means those shaders have depreciated and are no longer airworthy. Youll have to manually delete them if you want to fly, youll have to wait for a further update. Not saying you have to uninstall the shaders as a whole, just the defective ones. From the looks of it, its reflections.fx, atmosphere.hlsl (19,80-94(thats the range of shaders you need to pull)), and shaders.hlsl (19,2-95). That very well could be the entire mod, but its been a while since I last used it. From the looks of it, strictly weather related shaders. -

Playing this tutorial, I heard 3 different voices during the mission. One accented in english, one russian...not sure about the other. Is this normal for this training mission?

Well, that worked. Comms menu working again with Voice Attack and Vaicom Pro...had no idea they went open source with it. Was wondering why I havent seen an update for it in a while, but yeah that worked! -

Ill give it a shot...from the looks of it, might be uninstalling and reinstalling - playing that game. Ill report back when I get it installed and tested. -
The Harrier is fun; the Hornet is fun. Both are complicated - one is easy to fly and hard to learn while the other is exactly the opposite "kinda"...I know the Hornet inside out, but since Razbam is always updating and upgrading the Harrier, its really difficult to learn the technical aspects of it...but theres not nearly as much to learn in that aircraft as the Hornet. If you're at a loss as to which one to get, wait for the F-15E to drop.

Hammer1-1 replied to Hammer1-1's topic in General Bugs
nope. triple checked, also triple checked the tick box in VA to see if by chance it was...and nope, not ticked. every time I open up VA it installs those files regardless. Fairly certain now its not SRS. -

Hammer1-1 replied to Hammer1-1's topic in General Bugs
either. seems like every time I do a repair, some UI folders get rebuilt and scripts keep getting introduced that keeps me from using the comms menu. I disabled SRS and Voice Attack...odd that I dont even use them often and they shouldnt even be causing conflict yet here I am...I think voice attack might be installing scripts regardless of my options ticked in the box. -
So....this happened again. This is the 3rd time Ive noticed this and it always happens the very first time I load into an FC3 aircraft. By first time, I mean a complete reinstall of DCS of some sort where the logbook is empty and new. Didnt get a track file, but I did a quickstart F-15 mission that lasted all of 10 minutes and managed to get a full 10 hours in the logbook. I only happened to notice it because I have 28 hours in the log, 18 of them in the AH-64 which is accurate and was questioning where the other hours came from. I spent a few minutes looking through the logbook and the only other aircraft I have more than 10 minutes of time in was the F-15. Sure enough, I have 10+ hours in the F-15.
