This relates to my computer as well. When I fly the Cat in MP, fighting against F-18s and F-16s, and things become hot (enemy near), the sim gives me 1 to 2 fps for about 2-3 seconds. Total mess in memory/re-load strategy, I already have upgraded from 32 to 40MB RAM.

Currently the afterburner has a little dirty glitch: At closer range the AB isn't shown (my aircraft in F2 view, not AI aircraft!), but a little more far away it is shown. @Cobra847, can you please take a quick look. I flew ~1.000.000 sorties with the DCS Viggen (at least!) until yesterday During a longer discussion with other members (including @RagnarDa ) and testing a lot, I finally found out that waiting for the timeline to overlap the markers (not just touching them) is currently "my" key for a "solid & round & smooth" lift-off. It seems to me that lift-off at approx 310-315 km/h is what the DCS module currently needs. I know that @320 the tires should burst, and yes ... they do! X-tank mounted needs according to manual approx 2.5 to 3 nos upp, while no X-tank requires ~0. I add a few tracks I did today morning: You can see that in the DCS module there is even no stick necessary for a nice & smooth lift-off, when using good "nos upp" values. The trim values depend on which stations the load-out is mounted, but as a general guide 5° to 5.5° nos upp are just fine. Aircraft always interesects the steerpoint while not beeing aligned correctly. Here we go. The TMSup for enabling POINT track right on target didn't make the AGM65D seeker head to aquire the target. I tried firing the weapon, bit without luck. A few seconds later I manually switched to the WPN page, and pressed TMSup again. Only then it was possible to deliver the weapon. The only way seems to be using the AUTO mode of the TGP. In MAN mode it doesn't work. This at least is written in the manual (finally I found the correct page). For me this is solved. 2021-07-23_F-16_TGP_not_locking_AGM65D.trk

Anyone noticed changes in the presentation of clouds in VR? The edges and borders of clouds don't look that nice anymore to me, especially when they touch mountains/hills. Can't really tell for sure, and since I am not willing to go back for making screenshots I am asking if someone else noticed this.

Today I started cold. I boresighted all Mavericks before take-off, but in flight I wasn't able to get a lock by the Maverick. The handover from TGP to the weapon DID work and it placed the seeker head on target, but I wasn't able to deliver the weapon. Instead, I had to switch to the WPN page, press TMS up once more, then the lock was active (vibrating lines), and only THEN I was able to deliver the weapon on target. Distance to target was far below 5 miles. Was in MP, so I have no track.

BTW: happens in Caucasus as well, just had a freeze two hours ago.

I wonder what is happening at ED's on that issue?

This is the second flight I got a freeze when doing just a looping over the runway, using Viggen as the only aircraft in a simple single player mission (starting from the mission editor and taking off). It happens when passing the vertical. DCS freezes, and there is not other solution than killing the process via the task manager. It happend several times in the last days, so now I have enough of it Edit: had to change title, because it is not related to Marianas Islands only. The LOG is attached. dcs.log

Best ist to treat her like a lady when using wheelbrakes In case I dont have long runway I usually use half pedal deflection for wheel brakes and full reverser until red light comes on, then use 75% wheel brakes until the aircraft comes to full stop. This is my own "DCS procedure", let's see if RL Viggen pilots come in here for some more advice.
