Did you put them in their own folder (F.C 2.0) along with the .exe off the desktop? I put them in their own FC 2 folder and just ran the .exe and the rest was gravy. ???

Guys keep hitting the download button and try various FTP's (closer the better for me at least). It took me a few clicks, but eventually it worked. It's because of the volume right now, a LOT of people downloading so you kind of have to notch into a spot. Hopefully that helps. EDIT: If you're logged in click "back" and don't worry about the re-asking of login and password.

Furian It seems your just looking to stir the pot...number of activations really isn't an issue. It's a limitation that exists more in your head than in the practical world. I do agree with SH5's DRM is more inhibiting than the rest, there have been a number of problems with that method...but I COMPLETELY DISAGREE with you on your application of this to Black Shark. You're NOT renting this game, I purchased the DL version a year ago, I have WAY too many activations that I will hardly ever use and have not had ONE single problem or interruption while playing it. Rise of Flight I had a problem in my first week where the servers weren't registering and I havent' tried SH5 yet because of all the problems associated with it...plus the DRM there is just WAY too intrusive. Black Shark IMHO really isn't in this catagory...and stop threatening you can get a Black Market copy of Black Shark on the net. $39 is 1/2 the price for 10000000x the gameplay compared to most PC and ALL XBOX/Play Station games. If all else fails, you can ORDER a hard copy of the game which many people may or may not have on top of the DL version. The starforce issues of the old Lockon Days are behind us. I think it's a pretty solid system now that really doesn't impact my playing time whatsoever.:pilotfly: I can honestly say if you're not purchasing black shark for the reasons you stated than I feel sorry for you missing an opportunity to fly a great sim based on a misunderstanding of a protection concept. Rise of Flight by the way and DCS Black Shark do not have a similar system, Rise of Flight requires you to register online and has a very heavy online component...Black Shark my friend does not.

I would assume it would run better simply because the desert landscape is usually a little more CPU friendly. I'm on a dual core 2.8 gh/z macbook pro NVIDIA 9600GT she runs nice as long as I keep my rez down, graphics are at about medium (no bloom). Granted I'm not a stiffler for graphics by anymeans, I am however VERy particular at my frame rates so if she's below 30 at any given second I'm not happy. I'm looking forward to arrowhead big time :)

Lockon/F.C has never been cheaper and you can buy it anywhere online if you can't find it in stores. Frankly PC games in stores are becoming a rare find, let alone anything that's over a year old as console games slowly take over. F.C 2.0 what I gather from Matt's launch post is the FINAL update to the product, a product that many have been playing since day one and have been waiting a LONG time for the next patch (Check out thread patch 1.13). This is the end of the line for the LOMAC series and it's then moving forward with the DCS series. I'm sure in the development process DCS team learned some new things they can later apply to other DCS modules with regards to compatibility etc with F.C 2 and Black Shark among other things. ED is taking all the risk here, they've researched all the possbilities I would assume (money at risk if not) so they know more than anyone here why they do the stuff they do and what's beneficial to them in terms of where they can go/go with the LOMAC series. I was VERY surprised to hear about F.C 2 simply because I always thought Black Shark would have to wait until A-10 possiblity before I could get fixed wing human players into the mix. To me, F.C 2 not only improves my F.C experience, but REALLY improves my Black Shark experience knowing I can call in support from strike/fighters controlled by humans. That alone for me is worth the $30 price tag....but that's just me.

DX whatever, I just want to fly an officially updated flaming cliffs...once released I can start dreaming about DCS A-10.

HBO'S the Pacific has started airing, second episode last night.

I would think it would damn near impossible to create a high fidelity longbow sim. It would hopefully pick up where longbow 2 left off. Have some fun with it.

I've waited until the last possible MOMENT to check the site. Even as I type this I haven't yet taken a peak and it was the first thing I thought about (well first G rated thing i thought about) when I woke up this morning. Woke up, let the dog out, made coffee, made toast, checked the other forum topics as I eat toast and drink coffee......now my fellow simmers...it is time!

It may be premature, but I'm going to put my chips on the table and say FC 2.0 drops with the release of the new web site along with GA's new video. Against the odds, but I want to be on record ;). Or if not, than the official release date will be found on the new site. What better way to generate awareness than a new official wrbpage launch riddled with new content (ga video, game availability) or info giving us a firm timeframe. Perhaps I'm just trying to justify my madness.... :D

Still a good $20 off some really crap FSX addons ;)... I'm hoping it's close Vipe, I can't hardly stand it any longer ;)

Thanks for those video links they're great! For me the "learning" phase is the most interesting...well maybe not the MOST, but definitely the most rewarding. For me super hero movies are the most interesting is when our hero first discovers his power and is learning to use it. But that's just me :)

I would superficially agree with you here...but how many hours are pilots flying these things just to learn to fly them. You're not going to jump into a jet of this complexity and start dropping bombs...you're going to do MONTHS of ground school and flying hours so that you can command her to do as you wish, it's the key to survival. I would actually love to get a group of guys (3, 4 whatever) setup a operations flight from the US to Afghanistan in real time. Take off as a flight, fly as a flight, mid air refuel as a flight and land as a flight. Some people like the aviation side of flying combat aircrafts. For all those people there's this product. It's not a combat sim that's fine, but it has a global map with tens of thousands of airports all over the world and some pretty cool custom scenery additions. It can be fun, depends what you like in a sim.
