  1. I would love it. When I was in a squadron we did non-firing dogfights as well and just called out “guns guns guns”. With a feature like this we can do that in SP as well, practicing without the frustrations of getting shot down
  2. Yes, I understand and it’s why I support this wish I do the same!
  3. Yes, I ended up binding the command "engage bandits" directly on my HOTAS to avoid all this faffery.
  4. Check out the YouTube channel “Helicopter lessons in 10 minutes or less”. That will give you background information in order to understand why stuff happens the way it does. There are also other YT channels dedicated to DCS helicopters.
  5. Aerodrome 2 and 3 are meant to be “divert airfields”, no? Using that logic, I can understand the RTN button flipping to AD1 automatically, since flying to a diversion base wouldn’t technically be “returning”.
  6. More training missions would be welcome too
  7. I find it pretty easy to quickly glance down and notice the “fuel tank empty” lights, so depending on how many lights you see on, you know when CL tank is empty, wing tanks are empty, tank 3 and 1 are empty.
  8. From the original patch notes: 3D models enhancements in progress: Dynamic reflections on the canopy.
  9. Yes, there’s H, H and H, but also H and I almost forgot about H! Jokes aside, you can probably filter out helo bases for fixed wing modules, and I would really appreciate easier sorting through that list
  10. Those must be modules without native FFB support then, such as the F-18. Otherwise I doubt that very much: many problems have been reported by people with FFB hardware that were fixed by resetting axis curves/saturation.
  11. Yes and it will remain that way until we get the new rotor model.
  12. Absolutely, and I think that counts for a LOT of people. Problem is, finding those people: it's not just a matter of being in the same time zone, but also having similar enough time schedules, and ways you'd like to fly and types of missions you prefer - and in the end the personalities of the people need to be similar too, or it will never last.
  13. Exactly: if there were legal reasons to call the module "MiG-29A", ED could have said so. In case of the Mirage 2000, it was made clear from the start why the module is called "M-2000C" instead.
  14. I had that in my MiG-29 yesterday: I kept asking 100 (the A-50) for bogey dope, and they insisted the closest bandit is the one I locked up, off my nose at 25km. The next thing I see is flames and me tumbling out of control as I hear a voice say: "717, MERGED". Well, that was helpful...
  15. Yes that's fine for Flaming Cliffs, but many people expect more from a full-fidelity module. If Heatblur can call their modules "F-14A-135-GR" and "F-4E-45-MC", then ED can call it "MiG-29 9.12A". It will also make the distinction between FC3 and FF easier for the more casual people
  16. Not at all, but what is likely to get more attention: 5 threads with 5 posts each, or 1 thread with 25 posts? Granted, this quote is about wishlists, but still.
  17. You don't have to like Apple to use an iPhone. You don't have to like ED to enjoy DCS the way you want to, be it as a digital museum or something else.
  18. When ED decides to make a full-fidelity Su-27, let's hope they actually call it "Su-27" and not T-10-1"
  19. Yes, it's been discussed before - and a pet peeve as well that I see people keep using wrong classifications. Including ED, who are quick to say "we are simulating an F-16CM from circa 2005 as been used by the USAF" but keep calling an actual in-service aircraft by the name of a concept that never materialised. It's the equivalent of calling our F/A-18C lot 20 a YF-17. Also, the naming conventions used inside DCS are not consistent. In the ME it's called "MiG-29A-Fulcrum" while in the Special Options it's - correctly - called "MiG-29 (model 9.12A)".
  20. I also avoid public servers for a variety of reasons - one of which being certain behaviours I have observed there (and have been subjected to) that I don't care to repeat. AirQuake simply doesn't interest me, and loading entire SAM sites on a Huey to drop them off using scripts is a bit... err immersion breaking I have joined a few squadrons back in the day, and I have had a few of my own as well, but these days I fly SP with the occasional hop on a privately hosted mission with a friend of mine. That works just fine for me.
  21. Please use the search function on the forum:
  22. If you invert the inversion, everything is back to normal again... That sounds more like a work-around than a fix. If you invert axes in your FFB software when there is no issue with other modules, it will mess those up as well. This sounds like Magnitude needs to fix that.
  23. Then you should have bought the 3 parts separately.
