  1. MiG-21 no longer flies like a UFO now, which is great to see, but can still spawn flares from a different time/space continuum (when not equipped with its dedicated countermeasures pod) - this seriously needs to be fixed... 30GB download for me.
  2. You're posting in the forum for the upcoming full-fidelity module, which doesn't exist yet in DCS as shown on the previous page:
  3. That’s likely because the DCS: F-15C won’t be released until next year at the soonest. At that time there will be documentation available that explains how it works. We only have an extremely simplified version available in DCS now. The forum where to discuss and ask questions can be found here: https://forum.dcs.world/forum/249-f-15c-for-dcs-world/
  4. High quality customer support is a major factor for me when considering any purchase. But that’s a consideration everyone has to make for themselves
  5. I asked the same question on the previous page, without answer from ED.
  6. Yeah, the Apache is awesome for the first 10 minutes, then I’m bored out of my mind. Mi-24 on the other hand: I love that thing and can’t get enough of it.
  7. You loose a bit of capacity (the size of all your partitions added will be a bit less than the total capacity of the drive) by making partitions but that’s pretty much it. Nope.
  8. I’m old-school and always partition my drives to keep things organised the way I like it. I keep C:\ for purely windows and drivers for example, so that I can happily format C:\ if the need arises without losing any data: my documents, pictures and saved games folders are on a different partition. Since I built my new system I do indeed keep DCS on its own dedicated drive. Is there a particular need or benefit to using partitions or even a dedicated drive? Nope, not these days so it just comes down to personal preference and how you like to organise things. Whatever works for you is fine
  9. That’s always been a problem, that is present even in Flaming Cliffs: years ago ED launched a poll asking the community if the reworked Su-33 (new FM with realistic modelling of the canards, among other changes) should have a display light in the cockpit for dorsal air brake deployment (not realistic) or have the indicator light non-functional (realistic). The community at large vastly preferred the non-realistic option, so that’s what we got…
  10. Surely that's not a DCS problem per se, but more a hardware limitation? If you want to recreate the fire bombing of cities in WW2, are you going to have 700+ bombers in the air at the same time, along with diversion flights and who knows how many escort fighters and interceptors? The only way to get around that I think is to work with triggers zones where units dynamically spawn/despawn depending on where you are at that moment.
  11. Tracking is never perfect. I use 3 base stations and even that can move the default position around a bit - but in my case only by very little.
  12. This is not specific to ground targets either. I’ve had Jester AI (Heatblur F-14) call out aerial contacts through mountains when I was flying through a canyon at 200ft.
  13. You’ll need to explain this a bit better
  14. Yup, and it wouldn't have been if it was a BluFor helo...
  15. Neither do I: I don't even have a keyboard in my VR pit. But "1" and "2" are very useful keybinds in multiple modules so I have them bound to my VPC Control panel 2. Yes, using VoiceAttack or similar 3rd party software - as MAXsenna said earlier in this thread.
  16. They were confirmed as placeholder/WIP when the F-16 released 6 years ago and so many people complained about wrong colours (particularly the green nose), missing panels and general low quality. Personally I have been using the replacement texture pack by Texac ever since.
  17. I was I'm not really dogfighting MiG-15s all that much but I have it installed in my OvGME library along with other bug fixes and texture replacements Thank you for sharing your updates!
  18. - With the F-16 being officially out of early access, I take it we can expect the final external textures soon as well? - When we will see the next Petrovich update? Especially more voiceovers would be more than welcome to replace the floating text that we currently have, which is outside of the normal field of view in VR and thus very easily missed.
  19. Since the release is planned in September, you shouldn't expect any videos in the next 4 weeks or so at least I'd say...
  20. Finally we'll have a full-Grumman flight deck
  21. I think there is an issue with them not recognising “delayed activation” units that only appear after an event trigger (but I would need to check what exactly is causing them to ignore certain enemy units). The UN pilot campaign for example I think it’s mission 7 or 8 where you need to go defend one of the outposts from “hunters”. At the very end (before picking up the wounded soldier) you need to “convince 2 infantry and their car to leave the area”, and that never worked correctly (at least in the last 8 years or so): so I end up landing right next to them and shoving the business end of an M60 in their face
  22. The Huey copilot is useless anyway so I just shove him aside and do it myself. Doorgunners get the same treatment when they refuse to fire
  23. Jump to the left seat (default key is "2"), then you can click the door handle.
  24. Yes and I am excited about that: more variety and different handling to get used to. The -L uses a pull - tail rotor as far as I understand, to help with CoG but with the downside of yaw/pitch coupling.
