"Avoid the formation task in Mission 1?" Are you kidding? I love it! I don't want to avoid it! LOL Can you give us a hint of the new campaign you are working on? Helicopter? Fixed wing? What?

Ive played ALOT of flight campaigns over the past 25 years and this is probably the very best. Being a somewhat rookie helo pilot, it is very challenging yet very fun and immersive. I have attempted to finish mission one several times. However, despite my repeated attempts (and I get further each time I fly it) Im not bored. I love the formation flying and the atmosphere really makes the experience immersive. Also, since there are only 12 missions, the missions' difficulty for rookie helo pilots like me will mean it may take quite some time to finish the campaign which is great. Its like sipping a fine alcoholic beverage, you dont want to swallow it too fast, you want to savor it to make it last. .

I also agree with Raz+r and the subsequent supporting comments. The AI behavior in DCS reminds me of stories of UFOs suddenly whisking away and about without regard to known physics. As someone who solely plays single-player, this is a huge disappointment.

DCS cant please everybody, Flarpt. And it seems you need to leave DCS alone since you feel so bad about it. You act as if you are married to the game and are struggling with whether you should get a divorce LOL. I love DCS and apparently many many others do. But its not for everybody. Its not perfect and no game is. Im old enough to remember when there were no computers or game consoles of any kind in the average home. I can remember when the very first "flight simulators" came out on the first "home computers." The planes were really not much more than blocky stick figures but boy did we aviation enthusiasts appreciate them because that was all we had. Yes, we all could have griped and complained and perhaps move the game industry to abandon making flight simulations altogether forever. If that happened where would we be today? Technology has come a long long way since then and Im grateful for DCS and all the other game developers for what enjoyment they bring us. I say stop griping and focus on having fun, with whatever games give you pleasure.

I am really loving the Gazelle and have spent quite a few hours on it. I have mastered the two piloting skill improvement instant missions. However, I am having a real problem with the static tanks instant mission. I do my best to sneak up on the tanks without being seen, but when I pop up to line up a missile shot, one or more of tanks seems to instantly zero in on me and shoot me down. The rarely miss. I have attempted this mission a zillion times and I can't figure it out. I did find one youtube video of someone peaking over a building very slightly and shooting the tanks but I just can't seem to get that to work for me. Really frustrating. Any tips? Maybe I just need more practice.. .

I have a similar issue in Mission 3 of the Reflected's p51 campaign. Havent played the Spitfire one yet but its on my rig.

It is a great campaign and Im sure the Spitfire one is great also which I have purchased not yet started. Do you plan on doing anymore? How about one for the BF-109? or Huey? or Gazelle? or a sorely needed Korean F-86/Mig 15 one? Im a 60ish guy with a voice like James Earl Jones but if could be used would be willing to help out with the voice-overs.

I believe it is more likely the other way around given the high cost of VR and the requisite hardware. I always buy high end used monitors very cheaply and would never get buyers remorse if i didn't like the monitor. I have tried VR and stay current on the development of the technology. At this point, its not for me. As said by others, in time, Im sure it will reach a stage I will use it exclusively. Lets' face it, pc hardware is like choosing sneakers. What one person likes may be different than what another person likes. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. If a person likes a brand of sneaker different from what we like, should we preach how wrong that person's decision is? Of course not. Different strokes for different folks as the old saying goes.

RUDEL where in the world did you get a P-38D Module!!?? The p-38 is one of my favorite planes! I've never seen it for sale.

For those of you who had problems with a 3 monitor setup lacking height, you may want to try turning the monitors on their sides and configuring them for portrait mode instead of landscape mode in your control panel in windows. I have done that with three 32 inch tvs and I get what I believe is the best of both worlds, plenty of height and width.

Does anyone know whether there are any Gazelle Instant Missions included with the new PG map? Its my understanding there are several for the Huey. If there are, have anyone tried them?

Has anyone tried the Huey Instant Missions included with the new PG map? If so, how did you like them?

Are there any A10C missions included with new Persian Gulf Map? If so, how many? Has anyone tried them?

Its my understanding that there are instant missions for the Huey. Since I am first and foremost a helicopter nut, can someone tell me just what are PG Huey instant missions? It may convince me to get PG now rather than later.
