  7. Thanks I will give it a go. It was helpful that I already knew the generators needed to be activated. Hopefully pointing these issues out will help ED improve the lessons for new simmers. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Just not worth dealing with the apologist trolls. Apparently fairies and unicorns ensure the generator switches are in the on position and the pilot isn't responsible. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  12. Very nice Job! Have to agree with using a hall sensor to eliminate future issues. Can't wait to see the finished product. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. Beginner with toggle switch Where are the above entries are you coding into? You said in a prior post you want to assign in DCS? The copy and paste additions from the forum post I sent you will add additional options within the DCS control assignments pages. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Have a look at this thread, there are a number of custom commands you can cut and paste with directions for where to paste them. The default commands you are using require an on-on switch and two positions on your Bodnar card. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=89226 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Have you tried setting your resolution to 2800 x 1600, that's the native resolution, it may help to not send extra unusable data. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. Struck a nerve with you apparently. I don't necessarily support a subscription model. I used to be able to buy a copy of a WORD processor and use it for years, usually until the next version of Windows came along. Now the only option is a monthly or yearly leach attached to my wallet, and everyone wants in.... Watches can cost $10,000 or $10, Rolex and Timex both tell time, one does it with more style and accuracy. Rolex doesn't make excuses/apologies for cost and they aren't trying to put a watch on every wrist. DCS is the Rolex of combat flight sims and it costs money to produce authentic realistic simulations. No apologies should be made for producing and charging for a premier product. If a $60 map is equal to half your salary, you have much bigger problems than map costs. There is already a model in DCS for casual flyers, FC3. The forums are full of those looking for free and that isn't a sustainable business model. The hook for the deeper game is provided by the free engine, base map and 2 planes. There are too many free aircraft mods present. Why would anyone pay or want to pay? This sandbox should be closed to licensed 3rd parties. In other game arenas "X" game, slightly improved is sold on a yearly or bi-annual schedule with paid DLC interspersed quarterly and you pay a yearly fee for the place to play those games. A similar structure could be applied here. The issue is the transition, too much has already been payed for on a promise to finish later. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Using the previous suggestion with RSMapper sending a talk press command and the close command on release could work for you. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. There needs to be a way for us to pay into updating the core engine. It's too much to ask given what we want, ATC, Weather, lighting, better damage modeling, dynamic ever evolving campaigns, net code for multiplayer. The modules are already too cheap for the depth of simulation, they should run $75 for WW2 and $150 for modern jets....and those are the sale prices. Stop the constant sales! The COVID sales have done nothing but provide more anger for those that paid higher prices for EA. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  21. Bodnar Cards and Lost Bindings Thanks again to everyone for their pointers. I flashed all the cards with the Bodnar renaming firmware. Hopefully that solves he issue permanently. It would be nice if Bodnar did a better job explaining the firmware with a readme in the .zip files. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. DIY MFD - should I have used shift register - how would it look like? The cleanest build I have seen so far is Blue73's MFD. He told me he used a resistor ladder. Way above my skill level. 23. Bodnar Cards and Lost Bindings There is a decent video in the RSMapper thread. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=205492 I Would like to keep this thread on point for documenting how to help folks in the future with Bodnar cards. We are definitely the exception as hardcore users by having numerous Bodnar cards. Off to re-flash the Bodnar cards. (Sigh) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. Bodnar Cards and Lost Bindings Missed a couple posts. Thank you to everyone that responded. I will have a go at trying to rename the boards. I did flash them all when new but they don't show up as 1, 2, 3, 4. They all do have different serial numbers after flashing and are recognized by the Bodnar encoder software individually. The directions could definitely be better from Bodnar. For the BU0836x the directions steer you to a certain firmware for flashing based on date of manufacture, with the renaming files being older. The author of RSMapper provided some insight. His software references the same number as DCS. Those numbers are generated by Direct X and seem to be assigned when devices are connected to the PC and potentially shuffled when new devices are added, plugged/unplugged, loss of power. Ugh. I was able to download a piece of software called USBDeview. Out of all the devices attached to my pc, 8-Bodnar cards, 2 - Arduino, Virpil stick and throttle, MFG rudder, jetseat, keyboard, mouse, only the Bodnar cards have a USB serial number. 25. Bodnar Cards and Lost Bindings Interesting. I have started the process of learning RSMapper are you using it as well? I have looked at some posts elsewhere related to the Bodnar boards becoming scrambled for users in other programs. It seems the culprit may be that DCS and RSMapper use the (Windows??) Device ID and not the Unique USB serial number that Bodnar uses to make them individually identifiable cards. I am somewhat confused by the loss/scrambling of bindings as it does not effect the Virpil joystick or throttle or the mfg rudder pedals. I have spent some time trying to figure out where the Device ID shown in both DCS and RSMapper comes from. I found a program called USBDeview which details quite a bit of info on connected USB devices but no info called Device ID and I have had no luck finding it in Windows device manager. Can anyone shed any light on this? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
