  2. Not trying to insult, just want to cover bases. The original viewport file from Capt Zeen’s tutorial worked for me to display the RWR. I had to place it where I wanted it, x, y width and height. But it showed nothing, hmmm. Dummy me didn’t turn it on or try the bit test. Once I turned it on and did the test. It was a centered blurry blob so back to searching and I found this post from Canadienbacen ‘So go to Mods/aircraft/FA_18C/Cockpit/Scripts/TEWS/indicator and open RWR_ALR67_init.lua with Notepad++. Change shaderLineDefaultThickness from 0.8 to 0.08 and shaderLineDefaultFuzziness from 0.4 to 0.04. I made this into a OvGME file. The smaller the number the clearer the pic. This made the viewport viewable. I haven’t figured out how to make it an OVGME file and as a result I have to edit the file after each update. This is in addition to editing the other file for stroke and blurriness that affects the DDIs and AMPCD. Hope it helps. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Have you been able to try adding a second powered usb hub along side of the one you are using? When you stated in an earlier post that once you added the last Arduino, regardless of which one, that things went sideways, it made me think you were running out of power to feed demands. 4. Is your usb hub powered? I was looking into what hubs to purchase and found that many hubs can’t provide the full 5v to all the ports in the strip at once. It might help to add another hub direct into the pc. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. You responses are appalling toward fellow players and violate the expected code of conduct with your personal attacks. ED broke carrier ops a month ago. We expect movement toward restoring major item functionality. If you are ok with broken, then be well, and choose another thread. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Reverting to 2.5 eliminates the Tarawa fixes, not such a great solution. The super carrier has been delayed so it just doesn’t seem to be too much to expect the current carriers to be restored to functionality. Not everyone has bought the super carrier and they expect to have the originals functional. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. F-18 is on sale!:thumbup::lol:
  8. If you are going to start a new list for V2, I would like to be added.
  9. You are right but aren’t we limited to late 80’s time frames? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. What is an IBEAM? Always looking for more immersion and google isn’t being helpful. Thanks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. Looking forward to seeing this released. Thanks for your continued work. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. The update changed my monitors from 2 to 1 and offered only 1 or 3 monitors. I wound up choosing a setting that wouldn't allow me to access all the buttons on the settings page. I followed the repair instructions and have ensured my page file is correct. Now when I try to log in the game immediately crashes. Could you please review my log to see if this can be resolved without reinstalling? Thanks in advance. Well with my head hung in shame, this was my mistake. I thought I was fully updated but missed an update. Sorry back in now. dcs.log-20200224-181624.zip
  13. F/A-18C DDI Dimensions Deadman made these for me and put them up on his Shapeways shop. Not a cheap print, but they are accurately sized and use readily available switches. Switch, rotary and potentiometers used are listed on site. The knobs were trials and have since been replaced. https://www.shapeways.com/product/FYXXVQX6H/f-18-ddi-bezel?optionId=141160580&li=shops https://www.shapeways.com/product/8K6HDPANL/f-18-mpcd-avab?optionId=141494826&li=shops Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Sim chair for center mount stick You could use this accessory kit to make your own. https://www.nextlevelracing.com/next-level-racing-flight-pack/ Most of the racing seats that offer “flight” pits have the worst seats. I wound up with the base and a heated car seat from a BMW. Instead of the notch in the seat the welded L brings the base over the top of the seat. I would think you could use the t-slot bolts to fasten the plate under your seat. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Monitor vs TV question Just to add to Vector’s great advice, there are many DisplayPort to HDMI cable/converters and they aren’t all created the same. I had one that worked well on one TV and absolutely refused to work on a another. These guys have a pretty comprehensive ratings list of TV’s for gaming in all price ranges. https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/best/by-usage/video-gaming Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. This is well worth the cost and the software updates automatically. Sometimes it gets hung up by AV during updates but that is when you are sitting in front of the PC. Hopefully this can be resolved by the developer in the future. The added immersion is amazing and well...who doesn’t like a massage chair. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. If you haven’t dropped a line to brunner it might be worth while to just let them know you would make a purchase if they supported DCS They have ever so slowly moved their position from no support to in the future we will.
  18. Hopefully you were able to change your password Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. That’s a good one, Wikipedia, ha ha ha hoo hoo hoo he he he. Wikipedia is a prohibited resource at accredited academic institutions.
  20. Sorry, this was the only fix that jumped to mind for MFDs. Any chance you are referring to the reshade mod? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. Did you manually reset the counters in the cockpit?

  23. Wizard, You have focused on only one aspect of my position, the manual and you let that dismiss the other complaints. So let me expound. It was a single paragraph attempting to capture one point of contention which is the poor state of the RAZBAM manual. It is in a state of disrepair. The NATOPS is the basis for the module and there are some procedures in the NATOPS that have been modeled accurately BUT there are others that are not accurately modeled, so the NATOPS isn’t the go to book. I don’t expect 100% to NATOPS for a video game but I do expect the RAZBAM manual to be the source of documentation and deconfliction from source material. In it’s current state it is not. Part of the procedure for adding features and should be a corrected manual with each update, or it winds up where it is. Sure, I can have fun with the module, but that’s not the point, the point is the lack of progress and poor communication from RAZBAM. I put honey out first by paying upfront for a module based on a promise to complete in the future and that has been rewarded with stalled progress, a decaying module and snarky comments from the developer at my peers who also voice discontent. Your patience may be greater than mine but it doesn’t make your opinion any more valid. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. I am always fine with debating an issue but calling me a liar is a personal insult. You can make all the apologies you want for their lack of progress. It has been 4 months since they provided an incomplete JDAM implementation. So that’s months since a Harrier update and your accusation of being untruthful and hyperbolic is dismissed. Over those months: Promised key binds have never been implemented, if it clicks with a mouse it needs a mappable key bind. The gold standard has been set by ED to have commands for switches, encoders and potentiometers where appropriate along with the i-command structure. The “updated” manual is error ridden and you can’t use NATOPS because they didn’t implement systems by the manual. The Tarawa has been broken for months. They have a history of acknowledging bugs and then marking them complete without addressing them. These forums have post after post of bugs/problems, yet the bug tracker on their website showed only three items as of two weeks ago. Again, the gold standard has been set by BN and 9L with their marking of reported bugs with [reported] [resolved] ...etc. These forums are where we come to get info, problem solve and report bugs and where their community manager should be managing these items not on a separate website. I bought into EA with the expectation of continual progress until completion and it hasn’t been happening. The M2000 saw little improvement until they got a military contract that resulted in the changes we have now. There are significantly different messages being sent across multiple social media platforms. - Here we are being told “nothing new till existing EA modules are completed.” - We were introduced to their new coder that was brought in to finish the M2000 and he has reported being reassigned to other unidentified tasks on discord. -RAZBAM stated on discord that the Super Tucano was currently being actively developed for a military contract, which seemingly contradicts the statement about nothing new until EA modules are completed. - Then there is the @RAZBAM twitter feed, over the last few months there have been over 600+ posts of politics, sports, vacations and girls in between the couple of RAZBAM product posts. Where is their focus? - The RAZBAM community manager here doesn’t seem to understand that the lack of progress requires positive reassurances and regular updates and instead gets snarky with customer complaints. The only thing that is going to change the perception is to make regular updates to the Harrier, M2000 and Mig19 with some semblance of equal attention. The months without progress on the Harrier have taken their toll. Glad to see they are getting military contracts but we have already paid, now it’s time for RAZBAM to start delivering the product with the fidelity promised on launch.
