I'm very interested in getting the M2000 for some time and since the Autumn Sale has just started... :music_whistling: Is there anything to know, before buying that module? What is still missing? Are there still bugs, which take away the fun? Do you enjoy the Mirage? What do you like? What not...? Would be helpful to get some opinions from users, using the M2000 for some time. I watched Bunyaps Videos on YT and overall the Mirage looked promising, but I read about some minor but annoying things. I currently fly L-39 for general Training, F-5 for fun & have the Viggen and the A-10 on my plate and to get into. But I'm eager for some 4th Gen. A2A Module. Rgrds, Dennis

I started with DSC when scratched canopies were already gone, but always wondered, when watching older tutorial vids on YT, why there were scratches. I don't find them to be too unrealistic also. I would also want them back as an optional thing to choose from.

I have several English Cockpit Mods in use for Su-25T, SU-25A, KA-50 & the VIGGEN. I have placed them in the Liveries Folder in my User-Savegame Directory, like all Addon-Liveries. Works and dorsn't require the use of JSGME. JSGME is however really easy to use, once you understand how-to.

Steht bei mir auch für den Jahreswechsel auf dem Zettel. Wird langsam notwendig, denke ich.

Das kann ich absolut bestätigen. Bei einem L-39 Testflug hatte ich da mal versehentlich den Haken beim Nebel gesetzt und ähnliche Werte waren da eingestellt. Katastrophe... Null Sicht und final eine Bruchlandung. :D

Hilfreich; endlich habe ich verstanden, dass Thickness beim Nebel die Höhe bedeutet. Sehr gut... :thumbup:

Gerade beim Nebel tu`ich mich auch manchmal noch etwas schwer. Im Netz gab es schon einige Videos mit richtig schönem, vereinzeltem Bodennebel. Muss mich da auch nochmal dransetzen. Schade ist eigentlich weiterhin, dass ED keine mehrschichtigen Wolkendecken einfügt. Das wäre genial...

Da ist was dran... geht mir ähnlich. Gefühlt wird zu viel angekündigt, in letzter Zeit. Mein erster Gedanke ist dann oft "macht doch erstmal XY fertig. Was ich nicht ganz verstehe; die F1 ging bisher völlig an mir vorbei, als Modul. Das 3D-Model sieht schon ziemlich gut und ziemlich fertig aus. Jetzt soll es an Cockpit und Systeme gehen. Wieso brauchen ambitionierte Entwickler dann dafür oft gefühlte Ewigkeiten? Wäre es nicht manchmal sinnvoller, nicht gleich zu Beginn so viele Features (Zweisitzer-Version, etc.) anzukündigen, anstatt tiefzustabeln und dafür zügiger und vollständig abzuliefern? Gerade bei der 101 und Aviodev ging mir das so; sehr interessantes Modul, aber als ich mich das letzte Mal damit beschäftigt hatte, fehlte das realistische Flugmodell und die angekündigte Bewaffnung immer noch. Das ist IMHO heutzutage ein Unding in DCS. Es wäre schade, wenn am Ende eine schöne und detaillierte F1 verfügbar ist, diese jedoch nur mit Standard Flugmodell ausgeliefert wird. :smilewink:

Das Muster find ich generell interessant. Habe AvioDev aber durch die C-101 auch erstmal leicht vorbehaftet bei mir abgeheftet. Hätte gerne die 101 im Hangar stehen, aber dazu müsste sie fertig sein. Dennoch speichere ich die F1 mal irgendwo im Hinterkopf ab. AvioDev hat vlt auch dazu gelernt.

Ich hab ähnliche Erfahrungen wie Sofapiloz bei ähnlichen Einstellungen (auch alles auf hoch, auch HD) wie kubanloewe. Ich kratz' mich da auch öfter mal am Kopf und frage mich, an welcher Stellschraube ich aufrüsten soll, muss, könnte. Im Winter ist der Prozessor eingeplant & die GraKa ist auch mittelfristig fällig. Aber ich bin im GuG doch angenehm überrascht, auf welch' gute FPS (von 45 am Boden auf 90-110 in der Luft) ich in 1.5 mit meiner Hardware doch komme. Über die verzögerte Schattierung in 2.1 reden wir jetzt besser mal nicht & Normandy habe ich noch nicht angefasst.

+1 from my side, as I finally found time to learn the module that got me interested in DCS. I like the clear and detailed tutorials of John and they are a treat to watch. His calm way in presenting you the information is fun and helpful. Even my wife was following one of his videos, while playing her arcadeish games on the ipad, and that means something... :lol: PS: We had some fight about the question, where John is from. Wife thinks he is from somewhere Eastern Europe, my guess is more Scandinavian. Perhaps someone can settle this? :music_whistling:

I was looking for some basic profiles (SU / L39) myself, some time ago. I too started to map all the important functions myself. Took some time to get myself started and took some try & error till it was done, but I must agree, that I learned and remembered more and easier, than using some profiles from other users. I could share my basic profiles for SU-25A / -25T & L-39, if you wish. Just to give you some gentle push in the right direction. :smilewink: I'm using a TrackIR system, so no controls for viewing around, mapped to my FCS however.

I'm using Opentrack with a Delanclip & a PS3 Eye (with IR Filter) for 4 weeks now and it works great. Setting up the Curves in Opentrack took a few hours, but that's it. No performance issues or anything. And for just a bit over 50€ (S&H incl.) it's a treat, compared to TrackIR, which would have cost me far more. Delanclip looks really durable to me. My advice; if you're looking for some Tracker system and are hold off by the price for TrackIR, go get one of the cheaper competitors and try out Opentrack.

Same here. Noticed that yesterday. Accompanied a C130 with my L-39 and my KI Wingman. Both were flying at low speed and were stalling, although waypoints were set with higher speed and altitutes.

Bei mir auch. Nicht mehr ganz taufrischer Rechner und trotzdem auf fast überall hohen Settings zwischen 60-70FPS (am Boden) bis 140FPS (in der Luft). Okay, mit vielen KI Einheiten hab ich es noch nicht getestet... :music_whistling:

+1 here I havn't tried out normandy yet, as my SSD has just not enough space available. Will definitely go for some sim-dedicated SSD (500 Gig), to store my DCS & Steel Beasts Installs on it... :thumbup:
