H-19 or H-21 would be more fun from that era. Just because it got famous on mash doesn't mean the OH-13 can do all that much.

My money is on a F-15. It only makes sense that they would finish out the teen series. Razbam eventually doing the E is the only thing that makes me question it. I'm hoping for pretty much anything else though. The teens are Toyota camrys. Yea they do everything really well but they're not very exciting or fun to drive.

Yea but that was for the weapons system stream. If he was referring to the the one before that the FM was supposed to be wip but representative of the final thing.

The two should be nothing alike. The Huey has an underslung rotor and has a max gross weight 4000 lbs higher. The Oh-58d should be much more responsive and nimble than the Huey.

Did you get the JF-17? I have confidence in Heatblur and Deka EA. Other devs... Not so much.

More coders is what's always needed for faster delivery of modules. Sure you'll get a Bo-105 now but at the cost of delayed projects from Razbam. Since Miltech consists of an artist it doesn't help with the bottle neck.

I know there's a large portion of the DCS population that wouldn't be interested in long flights without much to do but there is cross over with the xplane crowd who simulate real time flights across the atlantic. Plus it would be a good red weapon against the blue fleet with its massive antiship cruise missiles. It sucks there wont be a mainland china airbase in Marianas but otherwise it would be great for that map. If we ever get a cargo plane though C-2 or C-27 would both be a good place to start. i lean C-2 with the focus on naval ops. Il-28 would be nice for the mig-15 and sabres. I'd have alot of fun with that one too but I just see the bigger plane with potential to act as a tanker as more interesting and relevant to what we have going on in DCS.

I don't think the thread's name is inappropriate when I was trying to aggregate the various supporters of B-52's, C-130's, C-2s, E-3's, KC-135's, etc around a single plane that a developer has expressed interest in developing. We are not going to get each of those anytime soon. Razbam has expressed interest in doing a C-130 along with every other plane developed since WWII and they have a list about 10 years deep. Deka said they would have an internal vote to decide which of the modules they listed they would choose to make next, so why not try to put our thumbs on that scale and influence the outcome by showing it has many people interested in it? And I did express why I thought it would be a good fit in my original post. Whatever though. I thought it was a good idea, obviously not. I guess I just wanted to complain about my wishlist going off topic.

Ok, this is ridiculous. Sorry but I have to vent my frustration here. The point of this thread wasn't name the big aircraft you want. It's we could possibly get a specific big aircraft from Deka so why don't we rally around that one instead of voting for a dozen different ones. But never mind we'll probably get a Q-5 instead which will still be cool but not bring about a large aircraft in DCS.

As a helicopter pilot the Mi-8 is probably my favorite flight model of the helicopters in DCS, however if the OP means vortex ring state/ settling with power when he says VERTEX it is way to easy to get into in Mi-8 and Huey. Not sure about the Ka-50 and its not modelled in the Gazelle.

Hopefully they'll put out a full fidelity F-15 and we can put the teen series behind us and get to the more interesting planes. Rest assured though when a Phantom comes out I'll be flying it on the Iranian side Bug hunting.

That whole thing was confusing. They never said if they were talking about an undisclosed module or one they were already talking about. From how I remember it he could of been talking about the P-47.

I'd like a C-2 or C-27 but the point of the post is we have a realistic chance of the Tu-16 because Deka said its one aircraft under consideration for their next module. I was hoping to build some support for the idea among people who have wanted a C-130, B-52, or the like since its in the ball park and were probably not going to see anything similar any time soon.

Fair enough but it would be the first dedicated bomber in DCS. I'd much prefer the Tu-16 but just for the sake of a new role I'd be happy with the Il-28 also.

Yea it would probably never happen anyway... And I'd definitely buy and love the Z-5. But it's just like damn... So close but so far.

A Z-5 would piss me off only because its so similar to an obscure helicopter I really want but it isn't it. The H-19, my grandfather flew them in Korea and I have 70 hours in them.

Most are copies licensed and otherwise. I just love the idea of something completely different with the tu-16. I know a lot of people wouldn't be thrilled but i think enough would get it. Otherwise Id say a Q-5 for a read striker. Su-17 or 22 would work too but I didn't see that in uboats options.

Matter of opinion, I know not everyone would care for it. Fly for two hours just to take a Phoenix to the face. But I think it would be really interesting to add a new role to DCS. So far its either fighter or striker.

Yes, or maybe hauling out replacement pilots/crew. Or give an enemy the chance to kill a high value target making his way to the boat for an inspection. There's plenty to do with and evryone has different tastes.
