  1. Thanks for the tip! I'll check it out.
  2. You need to get the supercarrier to get the new Kuznetsov as of last I read.
  3. So normally I don't participate in preorders. I prefer to wait for release and get a few youtube reviews and I don't mind supporting ED with a little more money. The 50% off discount was too good to ignore though and I also want to encourage ED with my few dollars to support the DCS ecosystem and not just churn out modules. Thanks ED, looking forward to it. P.S. Please help Razbam sort out spawning on the Tarawa!
  4. I'm pretty happy with the Cat's progress :) things could always be better but it seems reasonable to me. It would be nice though to get a quick update on the Forrestal (coming near term or delayed until after supercarrier etc) but I'll live without it.

Pretty sure the Hornet and Tomcat work just fine from land. I'm sure the A-7 would as well ;) I'm still not even convinced its happening though. Harrier and Mirage finished sometime 2021 maybe "declared finished" in 2020. Mig-23 2021 that gives F-15E 2022/2023, A-29 2024, Sea Harrier 2025 ish, HarrierII +?, Pucara 2026ish, Super Entenard 2027 ish, Mirage 3 2028 ish? And thats being generous with only a year to develop each. Also the Bronco has been teased and they might be helping code the Bo-105. As excited as I am about the idea of an A-7 I have to remind myself to manage expectations.

Well if we get an A-7 at all we're only getting one. I think it would be a shame if wasn't a naval variant.
  7. Try the wishlist subforum under the 2.5 forum. Also F-4 was being worked on but it got put on indefinite hold. There was an attempt a long time ago to do an Ah-64 but news on it stopped and we haven't heard anything official. Unofficially it seems like they still want to do one but there is some sort of roadblock. Either module is years away.

I would vote A-7E and then limit then payload as best as possible to simulate a different variant. Have the airforce liveries too would be nice though.
  9. Well the user agreement says you own nothing. But if we want the module to improve with DCS that takes money.
  10. You like Normandy, I like the Pacific. They're about to run out of Teen series fighters so maybe they'll go all in on WWII after that? Who knows... I'm excited, sorry your not. Try to have some fun.
  11. Its to give you a much nicer environment to operate the Tomcat or Hornet from. It will have functionality in multiplayer and I think provide the first non combat roles with airboss and LSO. IMHO the most important part of it is allowing for more than four aircraft to spawn from the carrier which will be great for multiplayer.
  12. This is one of my favorite modules too. It has so much personality and looks great.
  13. So if I'm going to gift thus to a friend who has the hornet will it see that they have it and apply the Hornet discount?
  14. Also saw Mig-21s over Syria at 1:03 and at 1 minute a Huey over probably the Marianas judging by the palm tree.
  15. If it comes out before Marianas guess were I'll be flying it :)
  16. Yea, thats a lot cheaper than I thought it would be.
  17. Optimistically they're translating documents for a Japanese module. Realistically they're probably translating the game into Japanese. I hope your right though!
  18. It would definitely be cool to have. I'd be scouting for the fleet or picking up pilots in it. I would think it would take forever to happen since alot of other planes would probably be higher priority, but we have the Viggen so what the hell do I know? :megalol:
  19. Awesome! I hope we get the chance to fly it in DCS. Off topic but I also hope we get an S-55/H-19 someday because my grandfather flew those in Korea.
  20. The Catalina is a great idea. It and the Mariner are both better options than the Mars, I was just being kinda silly with that one but it's cool that there's still a few flying examples of it.
  21. Nineline, Thank you!
  22. you tease ;) I hope we can get something similar for land based airports.
  23. My point wasn't to say that our Huey should go up to 35k but show that the altitude reached by the OP wasn't completely absurd. Helicopters will frequently out fly their performance charts. Should you? No, but helicopter aerodynamics are so complex I think its unreasonable how people take DCS helicopters to the edge and past the envelope and complain about flight models. If it behaves right when you fly it within limitations I'd say were doing pretty good. In this case though its possible that the real aircraft could actually do what the complaint is about.
