That could be a translation issue, I read elsewhere that it wasn't jamming but he simply couldn't reach a higher authority in time.

I don't mind the classy burke being bundled. I just imagine that if they're are players out there who only have the Su-33 they are probably more budget minded and will have a hard time justifying buying the whole module just for a new Kuz. So that is a micro transaction I wouldn't mind seeing. Charge em 10 dollars or so for it and call it good. P.S. I'm working on a good mustache already. No DLC required.

I'm under the impression that the Kuznetsov is only seeing a cosmetic update? I hope it gets better spawn locations as well but it would be nice to see that one being a free upgrade so people who only want to fly the Su-33 aren't forced into buying a module they don't want/need. I say that as someone who does plan to buy the super carrier though.

Hi Reflected, Just wanted to say thanks for making this campaign. I love the F-86 and hope to see more love given to that era in DCS. I've been enjoying the campaign and appreciate having something to do in my Sabre!

My thoughts exactly. There's actually plenty of fictional liveries in the game. I don't believe in balancing a sim with the real world aircraft are inferior or superior. But at a certain point in public servers you have to give the red side something to do. And you can see plenty of servers who give redfor blue aircraft.

I really don't like the idea of player base splintering asset packs either. I feel like the price should be baked into the cost of a module or map. But a free map makes that difficult... And I'm personally so in love with the idea of a pacific theatre for WWII that I'd throw just about any amount of money at it. Though I know most can't afford to.

Could we get an official fictional Russian Navy livery for the Harrier? With the Marianas coming out and nothing but the Su-33 to fly from the upgraded Kuznetsov I imagine we are likely to see plenty of Harriers taking off from it online as its the only other aircraft that really can. There are some good ones in the user files but those don't work with public servers when everyone doesn't have it downloaded.

We have the carrier playground of the Marianas coming out and the super carrier module with an upgraded Kuznetsov but only one aircraft to fly from it that can't do much in the way of air to ground. I think it is extremely unlikely but it would be great if we could get the Su-25 upgraded to the carrier variant. I would gladly pay for it. I recognize though that the biggest problem is it seem the carrier version was just a trainer and I don't know if it could carry any weapons. But if it was possible it would be nice to have Su-33 escorts for it so it can make attacks on Anderson field.

Christmas came for me January 13th :) I wonder how the assets will work though? Made by mag 3 and included with F-4u? Added to asset back? A new asset pack? Maybe included with the map?

While I'm not thrilled with more gen4blufor if we're going to get more of it I'd prefer it be something interesting(IMHO) like the Tornado instead of say the F-15. The scuttlebut I've heard though is that various devs want to do it but getting the permission on this particular aircraft is extremely difficult for some reason. But in a recent youtube interview with polychop by the grim reapers it sounds like polychop still hopes to. I forget exactly how they worded it and they were very careful to not say it was going to happen, but they implied the idea wasn't dead yet.

DCS should never be about balance though. Dissimilar aircraft should fly to their strengths and use tactics and skills. A mig 21 "shouldn't" beat a tomcat or hornet, but a good pilot in one can. People will fly the Zero because they want to and they'll learn to win it.

Me too! Definitely made a bunch of missions were the soviets were preparing to launch their invasion of Britain. Mag3 is pretty much my favorite developer now with their emphasis on Vietnam and the Pacific.

In that case should Hornet owners just buy it in preorder or wait for the release for the best discount? Frankly I don't care either way because I don't mind supporting ED, but you know you'll have torches and pitchforks if we don't know which discount is better ahead of time. Some people will preorder thinnking that will be the best discount and other will wait. Which ever way it turns out you'll have angry people in the forum...

Yea, I voted no because I didn't know about the Falklands map being developed at the time. I did a quick goodgle and said "It's uglier than an A-10! Just make a Bronco, no thanks!" But I've changed my mind and would vote for it now.

You can use them now if you buy have the asset pack.

Hi Nineline, I was wondering if we could get some clarification on the Hornet owner discount? Will it be larger or equal to the preorder discount? I assume these discounts would not stack? Basically I just wouldn't want to see Hornet owners buy it at a 30% discount on preorder and then find out Hornet owners get 40% later. I'm not explaining myself well and I doubt that would come up but it is a potential friction point.

While I think it would be an interesting and unique aircraft, I think there are better choices. Like more Vietnam era or Pacific WW2 modules as it looks like thats niche Mag3 will carve out for itself.

It is a good thing. They do good flight models and beautiful planes. Its advanced system coding that they struggle with and the Mig is relatively simple when compared to the harrier ARBS, TPOD, Etc.
