I don't think its so much worse that it would get slaughtered online. It would probably be easy to sucker Corsairs into a turn fight.

Go away... He actually knows what he's talking about :music_whistling:

Ai? I want a greyhound module.

In the discussion of Deka Ironworks 2020 update Uboats listed some of the aircraft they were considering for their next module. He said none were guuranteed but that the group would have an internal vote to decide which they wanted to pursue. Among those possibilities listed was the Tu-16/H-6 and the Il-28./H-5. Either of these would be the first dedicated bomber in DCS and the largest player module. There have been many wishlists about the B-52, C-130, cargo planes, etc. This is our first realistic shot at something along those lines so I thought those of us who have wanted one of these aircraft might share our support for it with Deka. The Tu-16/H-6 is much larger than the Il-28 and would be very useful for the Mariana Map being a strategic bomber that could devastate Guam and it can carry large antiship cruise missiles to attack the fleet so I would give it priority over the Il-28. But they could always run into a research roadblock so I'd be happy with the Il-28 as well. So let's throw our support behind Deka and encourage them to bring a new experience to DCS!:pilotfly: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4185109&postcount=18

I hope a F-4 and A-4 come eventually but I'm pumped for the F-8. That's a really cool fighter I never thought we would get. Hopefully Ed shifts it focus out of the teen series.

Excuse me? Are you calling Marines cowards? I got exactly one mk-82 in support in 9 months of combat. And yea if you don't think the situation can be so dynamic as to need to update the pilot you're pretty naive. Or just trolling.

I really like the idea of having a player tanker

I think the Tu-16 and Il-28 are great ideas because they would bring a completely new role to DCS with emphasis on the Tu-16 being my preference. All are great choices except the EE-lighting in my opinion. I know it has a die hard following so sorry to vote against it, but I just don't see it being useful enough. What ever you guys make next though I'll be sure to buy! The quality of the Jf-17 already sold you next one for me!

Yea, I'm sure an A model could be done but I find the Black hawk pretty boring. In order of what I'd pick for ship operations CH-46, SH-3,SH-2 Ch-53, then the SH-60. We're in dire need of an American attack Helo though. I'd like to see an AH-1W on that front since it seems like an AH-64 is stuck in limbo.
-
Yea I lost faith in them quite quickly. And really laughed when I saw articles right next to each other titled why the F-35 is the biggest piece of garbage ever and why the F-35 is the greatest fighter ever. No consistency, and some demonstrably wrong "facts".

So the item that I'm most excited about is the better spawn points which does favor multiplayer. However it will be useful for singlevplayer too with its animated deck crea, much improved visuals, and much more realistic coms and procedures for case 1, 2, and 3 landings. Its up to you if that makes it worth it. But I'm happy to see ED doing something to improve the DCS environment.

Please provide a link to where it says it will be clickable? The product page makes no mention of a clickable Su-33. Do not spread disinformation. Someone will end up buying it for a feature that isn't there and be very disappointed.

Thanks for the update! Happy woth the Tomcat and look forward to seeing it grow.

They were used pretty frequently, but its really impractical for DCS Think about it. How hard is it to spot infantry units from the huey? Hiw are you going to get an ai pilot to maneuver you into a firing position on your target? How are you going to hit said target with 30 rounds in a rifle? I don't see it as enough value to the module to justify adding it. You'd try it a few times realize it sucks and go back to the 50 cal.

Will anyone be producing a collective for the oh-58?
Jester986 replied to BlacleyCole's topic in DCS: OH-58 Kiowa
My Puma cyclic and collective is on the cheap end if whats out there and it was 1200... A speciality one will be alot more. -
Thanks for the tip! I'll check it out.

You need to get the supercarrier to get the new Kuznetsov as of last I read.
-
So normally I don't participate in preorders. I prefer to wait for release and get a few youtube reviews and I don't mind supporting ED with a little more money. The 50% off discount was too good to ignore though and I also want to encourage ED with my few dollars to support the DCS ecosystem and not just churn out modules. Thanks ED, looking forward to it. P.S. Please help Razbam sort out spawning on the Tarawa!

I'm pretty happy with the Cat's progress :) things could always be better but it seems reasonable to me. It would be nice though to get a quick update on the Forrestal (coming near term or delayed until after supercarrier etc) but I'll live without it.

Pretty sure the Hornet and Tomcat work just fine from land. I'm sure the A-7 would as well ;) I'm still not even convinced its happening though. Harrier and Mirage finished sometime 2021 maybe "declared finished" in 2020. Mig-23 2021 that gives F-15E 2022/2023, A-29 2024, Sea Harrier 2025 ish, HarrierII +?, Pucara 2026ish, Super Entenard 2027 ish, Mirage 3 2028 ish? And thats being generous with only a year to develop each. Also the Bronco has been teased and they might be helping code the Bo-105. As excited as I am about the idea of an A-7 I have to remind myself to manage expectations.
-
Well if we get an A-7 at all we're only getting one. I think it would be a shame if wasn't a naval variant.
-
Try the wishlist subforum under the 2.5 forum. Also F-4 was being worked on but it got put on indefinite hold. There was an attempt a long time ago to do an Ah-64 but news on it stopped and we haven't heard anything official. Unofficially it seems like they still want to do one but there is some sort of roadblock. Either module is years away.

I would vote A-7E and then limit then payload as best as possible to simulate a different variant. Have the airforce liveries too would be nice though.
