I’d prefer to see the Forrestal upgraded to super carrier module status. I’m not so picky that a simple reskinning would be a problem for me versus taking the time the remodel the differences between ships in the class. But if we we’re going to get new carriers CVN-65 would be cool to have an early Cold War nuclear carrier. Another good option would be one of the British carriers that operated them.

The T-45 as well. I’d put it in the same league as the A-4.

My vote for the next Variant would be a Naval variant. The more the merrier but the only other country specific variant I might expect would be a Royal Navy version. I'm not sure the other countries would sell enough F-4 DLC to be included if they're sold separately. The Brits have a pretty strong presence in DCS to probably justify their version though.

Yea, I’m a helicopter guy and I can’t say I’m super hyped for it. It’s already preordered and I’m sure it’ll be an awesome module. But it’s a little modern for my taste. I’d be more into an A model with steam gauges. Hopefully we’ll get a Blackhawk or chinook to escort with it soon. Ish.

The only bit of criticism that may be warranted is the coming soon. That was probably not the best thing to say unless they already have a release window from ED after testing. I remember last spring I was think it would be put in July of 21. Oh well. I can wait patiently for its eventual release. I’m still very excited for this plane. Take your time Aerges. I’d rather a quality release than a quick one.

If I could chime in I’d love to see a Marianas campaign. Probably have to pretended their different islands but hunters over Yalu used the caucuses for Korea.

I’ve been using the Viggen as a stand in for the F-105 in some faux Vietnam missions. I was wondering if anyone would mind making a F-105 style south east Asia skin for it? Doesn’t need anything fancy like squadron markings or anything, just the color scheme and some generic USAF markings. Thanks for any help!

This is not my skin but I came across it today. It lets the JU-88 stand in for the Betty. With that and the Fw-190A8 Zero skin we can have some faux Pacific battles in the Marianas until we start to get some real assets. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3317312/

The animated deck crew would be nice. I think heatblur has certainly delivered on what they promised so it’s not like they owe it to us imho but it would be nice.

I can tolerate EA. But it has been abused from time to time. I know everyone hates the idea but DCS really needs to be a subscription service to incentivize module maintenance versus the new release conveyor belt.

Bignewy, I really want to buy a pair of Mosquitoes for my wife and I to fly. I have every confidence that that module will be great. But how can I justify buying them when our yaks don’t even have an engine damage model? I can’t overheat or abuse the engine to death which is probably one of the more important items on a general aviation plane. Three warbirds have released with no significant progress on the yak. I know you’ve said all you can and I know there’s nothing more you can do, except perhaps impress to management that we can’t have faith it will be finished some day without some sort of roadmap or plan. If you say we’ll have a damage model by July 2022 and it releases November 2022 fine. But without a date there’s no reason to believe the work will be done at this point.

Ok tinfoil hat time. From today’s newsletter " A glass cockpit with large multi-function displays and a reworked nose section contain a powerful radar. ” why would they mention its glass cockpit and mfd’s if we weren’t going to see them? On the other hand they also said they want to avoid doing another mfd monster the JF-17. But then on the other other hand they were looking at doing the Su-30. I was hoping for an older H-6 with steam gauges but it would still be cool to get a bomber. I doubt the mfd reference means anything though. My guess is we get the J-8II.

Three years old. Only a handful of updates with so little work (compared to other props) left to actually do. Three warbirds have been released in the mean time. Please finish this module. It’s a really nice plane. I enjoy it. But it’s frustrating that it’s not given any time because it wasn’t a money maker. I still paid for two or three of them.
