Those both look great!
-
I'm sure they're fine. My guess on why we haven't heard from them is they have no news. They're probably still figuring out what they're next module will be.
-
Ok, so maybe it doesn't work out. But how about some encouragement instead of negativity? DCS needs more third parties. This can only be a good thing if it works and it doesn't matter if it fails.
-
Its not an official third party yet but their stated goal is to sell it as a full module and not just release it as a mod. I really hope they are able to, its such a historically important aircraft. I'll definitely buy it.

Pods?! Hell yea!

Polychop Simulations OH-58D Kiowa
Jester986 replied to Polychop Simulations's topic in DCS: OH-58 Kiowa
No one has paid for the Kiowa yet, they can take all the time they need to release a quality product. I'm excited to get it too but I know it'll be worth the wait. -
Recently took a deep dive back into the Viggen and this is such a great module. Looking forward to bug fixes and updates!
-
Not gonna happen, hopefully we can get a Whiskey model.

It took me all of 8 hours of flying radials to have an engine failure in one. A guy I worked for who used to own Hawkins and Powers (google it) said he never saw a Kc-97 land with all four engines running. Edit: Radials are awesome. Just in my very limited experience they lived up to the unreliable reputation.

Definitely the Hellcat. Its been a long time since we had a sim in the Pacific and nothing to DCS quality. After flying the 262 in the "other" sim it leaves me unimpressed. And a DCS fidelity one would only have more issues. I see the appeal, but lets go all in on the Pacific.
-
Ok, but it still seemed relevant to me.

What? Last post was 8 months ago. This was from a podcast I only saw posted yesterday.
-
On the air combat sim podcast Nineline reiterated many times the that Nick Grey loves the Hellcat. Maybe the next ED WWII module?

DCS: Roadmap (unofficial - NO DISCUSSION HERE)
Jester986 replied to Silver_Dragon's topic in DCS 2.9
From nineline on discord "I was just told that the Mossie has slipped back behind the Hind, sorry guys." He goes on to say "Yeah, Nick just wasnt happy with the external model, so thats a good thing, he knows whats good and what isnt DCS". -
Everything is always delayed. Dates are targets, including late Q2. Manage expectations accordingly and take it into account when prepuchasing that it could be delayed again.

Has Deka decided yet? What's their next module?
Jester986 replied to J-20's topic in Deka Ironwork Simulations
I hate to admit how good the Su-30 would be for DCS when I'm over here being weird and wishing for the H-6 or IL-28. -
How's she coming along?
-
I know it only carries training bombs and rockets, but does it have a variety of rockets or only smoke?
-
I'm not a big fan of asset packs not because I mind spending the money but because they divide multiplayer. I am wondering though if we will get a seperate asset pack for the Pacific or if they will be included in this one?
-
I'm optimistic they'll release around july. Can't wait for this one!
-
Shameless bump hoping someone might be able to help out. We'll have the Marianas soon, we have fictional zero liveries for the A-8 and I just downloaded some navy ones for the P-47. Appreciate any help!
-
Would like to see an update on it as well. Doubt it'll be released in march... But maybe we can get an update.
-
We've yet to get a real WW2 combat ship in the assets pack. And if you follow Razbams south Atlantic discord where they're making alot if falklands assets it gives an insifht into the work it takes to make a ship. Given that and the relatively low priority a battleship would be for the Pacific scenerios were most likely to get Id say the priorities will be Carriers, destroyers, cruisers and then battleships and thats all for both sides. Then there's ground and air assets. Look how long the Ju-88 ai was in development. And when we do get a battleship will it be a late war Iowa or an earlier class that saw more action? And now if we get an Iowa will ED care enough to make it useful for multiple time periods by making several different models? I doubt it. Anyway sorry to crap on your wish. I don't think its a bad idea at all. Just watching from the outside and developing a picture of the internal logic ED uses to develop assets it seems very unlikely to me. For example we still don't We have two middle east maps and no toyota with a Dshka mounted on it.

Would you want ANY heavy aircraft modules for DCS?
Jester986 replied to Wing's topic in DCS Core Wish List
The C-130 Mod uses more than 2 engines. I dont know 100% of the deatils but my friend that works on it says they do model all four and its not a workaround.
